We had a wonderful 2 day tour with Apo and Ipek. They were very professional, guiding us in the city, explaining the history with passion and bringing us to good restaurants! My wife and I spent a full day in Istanbul with Apo. We saw the Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, Grand & Spice Bazaars, and a 500 year-old book store. His knowledge about the history and culture of the city is impressive. He is an interesting story teller and was very accommodating if we wanted to change it up during the day. He also seemed to know everyone everywhere we went -- big smiles would appear on shop keepers faces when they saw him - great rapport with people! He has a great sense of humour and was upbeat the entire day. I would highly recommend a tour with Apo!

The tour day with Apo was amazing; he was an incredible and very knowledgeable guide showing us all the small details and insights that one usually misses when visiting a touristic site for the first time. The tour was filled with his historical, religious and philosophical knowledge that made it even more interesting. Our tour was in Spanish and with a group of family of all ages and Apo was very accommodating with us. He treated us to a very local and personalized city tour that all of our group enjoyed greatly. This was my first time in Turkey and it will certainly not be the last. Every delightful corner of Istanbul was stunning. But I have to say its beauty became even more solidified when I met Apo our tour guide. He is incredibly knowledgeable with more than ten years in the industry. I was in awe of the historical narrative he would tell. He made learning fun, easy and exciting which is rare. I enjoyed Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, Bosphorus cruise, walking aimlessly through the streets, the cable car and so much more! A group of us toured with Apo when we arrived in Istanbul. I didn’t know what to expect as we had never done a city tour on holidays before. Apo customized our tour to meet our needs and also helped arrange a hammam for us and a visit to a carpet atelier. He has a way of instantly connecting with you and it’s apparent as you walk around the city that most people he encounters feel the same connection. Istanbul was a more magical place with Apo. Definitely recommend!

My 22yo daughter and I did a private full day tour of the old town with Apo on our first day in Istanbul in June 2024. A friend had recommended him, as I was looking for someone knowledgeable about Turkish history who would also make the day interesting for my daughter. Apo certainly knew his history. He was engaging, easy going and wove the history of this incredible place in an interesting and informative way. He took us to a fabulous roof-top restaurant for lunch, ensuring our dietary requirements were met, and recommended places to visit that we had not considered. We contacted Abdullah after booking our flight tickets and hotel , with tentative itinerary. And thanks to him he planned it further for us for 4 days ( 2 days Istanbul and 2 days Cappadocia) . It was so nicely done ,all our pick up’s ,walking tour, history ,culture..the trip covered everything by friendly and knowledgeable guides . This was our 1st visit to Turkey and already planning to come here and explore other cities with Abdullah.

We arrived in Istanbul on 26th March 2024 for a four day stay followed by a four week holiday in China. We have just arrived back in the UK so this is the first opportunity we have had to express our thanks to Abdullah. We met Abdullah on the Hippodrome by the German Fountain. We were on an historic guided tour and we were amazed at his extensive knowledge, put over in such a charming way. What a lovely young man he is. He was very thoughtful too and looked after his two elderly charges very well, he wanted us to enjoy the tour and love Istanbul as much as he does. We had an amazing time and it was this time with him that we will remember as the highlight of our stay. He covered his brief and showed us such a lot more.
