We booked this tour online with Tour Altinkum after reading some good reviews of those who had done so. We were not disappointed, Tour Altinkum were very professional and communicative right from the start of enquiring about details up till the actual booking and throughout till the end of the tour. Turkey is a great place to visit with its long history and culture but what made it more enjoyable was the guide Mustafa Mert. His knowledge of places of interest and easy-going nature made it a very pleasant trip. The daily pace at which the tour was conducted felt just right in my opinion, not rushed and leaving ample time in the evenings for our own time to explore the restaurants and shopping which open till late inTurkey especially Istanbul. My mother had a minor medical emergency of which required an overnight stay in a hospital and our guide Mert was instrumental in arranging and following up on medical care and making arrangements for her thereafter to find a place in cafes etc to wait and be accompanied by the driver while we went about the daily tour activities as she wanted to join us but not exert herself. Special mention to Ebru from MedLife Assistance who helped in coordinating with the hospital for document and admin matters. Overall our family enjoyed the trip and itinerary and Turkey is a unique place having many place of interests from the different periods it was ruled under different great empires. I especially enjoyed Ephesus with the ruins of the city dating back about 2000 years in good condition and also Cappadocia with it unique cave dwellings and religious history. The Turkish people were friendly and warm and very respectful of the elderly. For those shopping, bring your best game as the sales people at shops and bazaars are extremely charming and skillful. The only box left unticked was the hot air balloon ride which availability for each day is government-regulated dependent on weather conditions and for us was cancelled 2 days in a row because of bad weather (these need to be prepaid but refunds were done very shortly after). Anyway, gives us another reason to return to Turkey in future and to cover other sights which can’t be possibly covered in a 10 day tour. Thanks again to Mert and Tour Altinkum for making this a memorable experience!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed a 10 day tour of Turkey. Our guide, Efe remained engaging for the entire trip. His depth of knowledge of history, culture and geography is remarkable and he had many suggestions of extra places to go and entertaining stories to tell. Our driver, Kudret also did a great job. He took great care on the road and handling our luggage. We were also impressed with the Altinkum Tours administration. All our queries were answered promptly and professionally. responded. The hotels, meals and itinerary were all excellent. We recommend Altinkum Tours highly.

This tour from Istanbul to Pamakkale has been the highlight of our vacation. Yasmin, our tour guide, made it interesting and memorable. She was a sport in hiking with us at our request all of the visit to Hierapolis, which is quite hilly.

So glad we did this tour. It was our first time doing a multi-day tour like this. I usually like to plan my own activities, but this itinerary caught my eye. We saw so much in 8 days, and still had down time in the evenings to do our own thing. Mert was a fantastic guide. He adapted to the needs of each person in our group while keeping us on schedule. Communication from the tour company was top notch and everything went smoothly. Not having to worry about travel logistics allowed us to relax and focus on enjoying the sites. All of the hotels were great and had amazing breakfasts. A couple of the lunches were a little lackluster, but we never went hungry. Mert helped our group navigate a variety of dietary preferences and allergies. We did have time to swim in Pamukkale, so pack a swimsuit! We added an extra day in Istanbul at the end of the trip, which I would recommend to anyone who has the time.

Very well organized trip with well curated points of interest. Tour did not feel rushed or overwhelming. Plenty of free time for shopping, photos and discoveries. Our tour guide Efe was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Efe was able to answer plethora of random questions about the country and history. Absolutely worth every penny. Recommend hands down.

Excellent tour. Very well organized. Nice pace to the itinerary. Don't feel rush even though there were several long drive. Guide Efe and driver Kudreet were great!

Another lovely adventure , the underground city, Goreme onyx shop, Rose Valley, with a test full stop at Caravan Sarai for lunch, everything under professional guidance of Hati!

My husband and I joined the tour from 6-15 October 2024. We appreciate the coordination of the trip getting us from place to place, and are well satisfied by the accommodation choices. Breakfast at each of the hotels were splendid, (except at Efe boutique breakfast was more on the basic side - compared to the other hotels). The driver for the 5 days (Cappadocia, Antalya, Kusadasi) drove well and safely, covering long distances on some of the days. We are however puzzled how the tour itinerary could change without consulting us. For example, the itinerary listed Mevlana museum and Kursunlu waterfall but we did not get to visit it, and there was no explanation why. Instead of a full day of activity for day 7, we were taken to Duden waterfall (just a short drive from our hotel), lunch and that was all. I asked our guide Ali "What about Kursunlu?", to which he just shrugged it off, saying something like "It's just another waterfall". We are disappointed we did not get to see it. Looking at the maps now and on hindsight, Kursunlu isn't that far away from our hotel and I don't see why they couldn't bring us there especially since we had so much time that day - we were given so much time to stroll by Duden waterfall and we were brought to sit on a 1h leisure boat ride along the coast which wasn't part of the itinerary, when I'd much rather go for Kursunlu waterfall. As for Perge, our guide seemed to be dissuading us to visit Perge for the following reasons: - Perge is far from our hotel (29mins/25km) - Ephasus is more or less quite similar to perge - we would face bad traffic on the way back to our hotel. I was keen to visit but he suggested us to not go, and no one else seemed to object hence I didn't want to rock the boat. I wanted to do some research to decide but we weren't given much time to decide. Looking at photos and reviews, I do wish that we had gone to Perge. Our time at Ephasus (2h) and Hierapolis (pummakale, just over 2h) was too hurried. And it seemed like our guide couldn't wait to be done with the tour. As for the other 2 guides: We enjoyed having Barish as our guide for our first day around the city of Istanbul. He's very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information of the various attractions/sites we visited. I'm glad I decided to opt out of the Topkapi palace tour, as I suspected it would be too rushed to spend just 1.5h or so in that big place to really appreciate everyhing. 2nd tour guide Ana was sweet but we were left by ourselves a period of 20mins or so during the bosphorus cruise as she fell asleep while taking a smoke break. In essence, I would recommend this tour if it's a last min trip, and if one didn't have time to organise his/her own day tours and itinerary.

I had an incredible time in Turkey, exploring various destinations. One of the highlights was taking a hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia, where I got to admire the stunning fairy chimneys from above. The entire experience was unforgettable! The food was exquisite and the people were warm and hospitable. Hatiçe Uylu was the best tour guide I have ever had and I have traveled all around the world. She was kind and patient and very accommodating.

This was my first ti e in Turkey witch I enjoy e rey moment, the tour guide Hati was so patience, she looks our group to the best places. I’ll be defetenally come va k and will ask for Hati to be my tour guide. Love Turkey 💯 beautiful city and a wonderful people. 💕💕💕💕💕

Organised well by Altinkum , these 8 days flew by due to all the activities and was like clockwork. We met some amazing people on this trip and made good friends also. The organisation, tour guides Baris, Ugun and Umit did outstanding work, not just being guides but beyond their call of duties with the service. The coordinator, Berkay Cakir did an excellent job of booking and facilitating. More importantly he assisted with the communication with Airlines when our baggage was misplaced. Nothing was a trouble - 4 am or midnight, Berkay always supposed. Excellent service and hospitality. I highly recommend this tour.
