      The only tour of Istanbul
A unforgettable experience, hosted by the experienced and well informed Fethi. This must rank as one of travel’s great experiences, and Fethi’s offbeat approach adds huge dimension to an already amazing city, taken from the perspective of daily life in the city, far from the tourist crush of the SultanAhmet. For those looking for something different while in Istanbul, this is a must do.

We kicked off our two weeks in Istanbul with this day-long tour and it was incredible. You get a sense of the real Istanbul and see things beyond the tourist attractions.

Daytime Bosphorus and Golden Norn Boat Tour
In August of 2019 my wife and I spent a week in Old Istanbul while staying at the Yasmak Sultan Hotel (highly recommended. ). Via the hotel the Concierge, he arranged a one on one daytime boat tour of the Bospherus Strait with a tour guide named Musaffa. The cost of this tour with the guide included was $120.00 (plus $50 T/L tip) Canadian dollars.for both of us and well worth every cent. Musaffa was friendly, and incredibly well versed on the many many structures that sit on both sides of the Bospherus Strait. I took many many photographs on this tour as you can see in my photo section of this review. The tour was very interesting, educational and thoroughly enjoyable. . The reason for the delay of my posting of this review was due to a lengthy illness that I had which I am now over that and I apologizes the delay. Dave C Toronto Canada

TOURS & ACCOMODATION WITH Dubai Travel Tourism
I was provided a 4 star hotel in a very reasonable price. Very nice room and breakfast. Other tours including Dhow Cruise, Bhurj Khalifa, Aquarium and Miracle Garden were all very well arranged.

As a result of my wife having taken this tour some 3 - 4 years ago, and having thoroughly enjoyed it, we specifically made a day stopover in Istanbul at the end of April, 2018, to take the day-long Other Tour. I might add that we had each already visited Istanbul 3 - 4 times. Therefore, our main, and only, reason for returning was for me to experience this tour. We made arrangements, by email with Fethi, the Other Tour operator/owner, many months in advance, to do the tour on Sunday, April 29th, 2018. On Friday night, April 27th, we communicated with Fethi, by telephone, to confirm the tour for the 29th. He did confirm it, and told us to be in the lobby of our hotel at 9:00 A.M. SHARP on Sunday morning, for the guide to pick us up. We waited in the lobby of our hotel from 8:50 A.M.until 9:20 A.M.Not only did no one come to get us, but also no one called --- even though Fethi had our telephone number, and the hotel`s telephone number as well. When we had the hotel concierge call Fethi, we learned that the tour had been cancelled because the guide, Fethi`s brother, was ill. To be fair, it is possible that his brother was ill. However, our suspicion is that they cancelled because doing a tour with only two people may not have been worth their time. Be that as it may, we were extremely upset and disappointed. Moreover, to have not let us know in advance was very unprofessional and unacceptable. As a result, we must state that we cannot recommend this tour.

True insight into Istanbul's culture and lifestyle
We booked The Other Tour because we were sick of boring walking tours which point out buildings and tell you dates, and which generally lack in personality. We wanted an experience that actually gave us an insight into the current culture, way of life and political climate of the place (something which is particularly interesting in Turkey at the moment, of course). We weren't too sure whether to spend the money and worked out whether we could do a similar trip ourselves for cheaper. After figuring out that with the cost of meals/hammam/snacks/travel/boat trip etc. it'd be pretty much the same price, we were SO glad we chose to book The Other Tour. Fethi's company felt natural to the point where we totally forgot that we were actually paying for his time. It just felt like we were meeting with an old friend we hadn't seen in a while. We got a feel for different parts of the city which we might not have come across otherwise, and we had some great experiences that we won't ever forget. As quite a few people have said before me, please don't take this tour if you would class yourself as a remotely easily offended person :) and don't book it if you just want to see the big tourist sights! You can easily do that yourself a different day.

      Not your usual tour
This is the perfect tour for anyone with an open mind and desire to see and experience something beyond what's in your guidebook. It certainly lives up to its name - Fethi's passion for his home town is contagious, and not dampened by a healthy dose of irreverence. Embrace this and you will undoubtedly enjoy yourself - it's an enlightening and unique way to experience Istanbul

We didn't get half of what was promised.
Major disappointment. All negative approach to showing their city. Half of what was promised was delivered. We were left alone with the guy's mother without any comments, for a long period (30-40 min) who didn't speak English. Had we been told that she spoke some German, would have been helpful. Starring at each other made the time seem v-e-r-y long. Would not recommend this experience to any of our friends.

      More than a tour
If you want to see something more and something different than the normal tourist route, this is the tour for you! Highlights were visiting a school and lunch at the guides mothers house. Personal and interesting tour that ended on a beautiful rooftop terrace. (Visit was november 2014)

Very enjoyable day and a wonderful introduction to Istanbul
booked tour for our first full day in Istanbul as a way to get us up to speed with the local character and feel of the city. Both my wife and daughter agree that it was a perfect way for us to boost our comfort level. Fethi met us and one other person and proceeded to take us around the city and introduce us to the various neighborhoods that a typical visitor would not see. We felt 100% safe and comfortable at all times. Fethi is a very gregarious and outspoken young man and was ready to engage in conversation regarding many topics. I feel he truly represented the people of Istanbul in a microcosm. Always happy and ready to give a hand and a warm welcome no matter where we were. Three meals throughout the day of local food and lunch at his mothers apartment was outstanding. The food that evening at Tavanarasi was good enough that we went back to the same place one more time during our visit. Fethi, thank you. Matt

An experience more than a tour
We did The Other Tour with Fethi in December. My cousins strongly recommended it to us when we told them we were going to Istanbul. They loved it, and we did, too. It is not so much a tour as an experience. There was no traditional sightseeing but rather a trip all around the city, to residential neighborhoods on the European and Asian side, to his family's place for lunch, a university, a kid's music school, a Kurdish quarter, a Turkish bath, a traditional restaurant, and so forth. Our tour may have been a little unusual, since there was only the two of us signed up that day, so we had a lot of personal attention, and it was rather like being shown the untouristed city by a friend than by a guide. Fethi was very attuned to our interests and it was a very unscripted and engaging day. The price may seem a bit high, but The Other Tour began at 9 am and we did not get back to our hotel until 10:30 that evening. It was so much more worthwhile doing The Other Tour than spending yet another day of traditional sightseeing-we'll remember our trip to Istanbul much moreso due to that day! And Fethi is a total delight! We became instant friends! We totally recommend The Other Tour!!

      Finally a comprehensive city tour!!
I did 'The Other Tour' a while back with a dear friend of mine who knows a great deal about Istanbul and due to that didn't want to see the regular stuff but go off to discover other things, everyday things that are not as easy to discover. And we learned that day that this tour is the best Adress for that very purpose. Fethi, our tour guide picked us up and took us to all kinds of neighborhoods. Each and everyone of them had its one little perks that made it unique. Fethi was very talented in pointing them out and by that gave me and my friend a very conclusive idea of his city. And that is what everyone here already says but I really want to stress it again myself. You wouldn't believe how much there is to learn about a culture and especially how much stays in your head about a city when it's nicely packed and told. I always have a problem remembering stuff people tell me in cities that I visit. This was the first day that I was able to really comprehend the facts we were told all day and not forget about it a minute later, especially cause it was always backed up with a little anecdote or joke. So thank you Fethi for giving me this experience, for being so passionate that it made me passionate about things I didn't even know up to that point. For introducing us to your whole family and making us feel at home and on top of all, serving us the best Turkish food we ever had and ever will have!

I just got back from Istanbul, and am digesting my day with Fethi last week. I really don't know what to say or how to describe it. It was certainly one of my most memorable days in recent memory. I wouldn't call what we did a "tour" in the traditional sense. It turned out to be just me and Fethi, and I felt immediately at ease with him, probably because there were no boundaries, no topics we couldn't discuss. We just sort of wandered around the city, hopping in a taxi if the idea struck him, or hopping on a ferry to travel down the Bosphorus to another neighborhood, or across it to a yoghurt shop that he knew of. The whole time he talked. I don't know how it would be with more people in the group, but it was just he and I, and he talked the whole time. Really fascinating monologues about everything under the sun. His English is impeccable. I'm suffering from a breakup, and he gave me really sage advice, really profound. We didn't do a whole lot during the 11 hours I was with him. We walked, we stopped in a coffee shop, we went to his mother's apartment for lunch, we smoked hash, drank beer, drank wine, ate yoghurt, rode a ferry, went to a university. Walked and walked. He dropped me off at a hammam. If you are at all skittish about frank sexual talk or have many inhibitions generally, you'll likely be offended. But if you're not, you'll have a blast.

We spent our last 2 days in Turkey in Isatnabul and Fehti made us fall in love with the city. His enthusiasm and love of his city and culture were infectious. From the beginner felt like we were being shown around town by a very knowledgeable friend and not a tour guide. The first day he walked us around all 3209.10.0000 different neighborhoods and gave my foodie family a taste of all the different street foods in the city. The second day we visited the main sites and he kept us entertained and shared a lot of history and anecdotes about each one. We can’t wait to come back to Turkey and will definitely use Fehti for all our planning

De and I were lucky enough to find Fethi when we were particularly frazzled trying to organise our trip. He and colleagues organised flights, a cruise on yacht and a fantastic hotel in Rhodes for us when he worked out what sort of people we were.
We had a fantastic day and night on Fethi’s Other Tour. Just the three of us went on the local ferries and saw a great variety of areas in Istanbul, not the typical tourist spots. A perfect passionate and hugely knowledgeable tour guide for non typical tourists like ourselves. Highly recommend.
