- NadavY120 contributionsHighly recommended for anyone looking to explore the rich culinary diversity of Haifa! We made a culinary tour with Daniel in Wadi Nisnas, which was absolutely fantastic! Daniel shared a wealth of interesting details and stories about the food and the history of the area and the food was G-R-E-A-T. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the rich culinary diversity of Haifa!Written 18 January 2025

- izhakb20140 contributionsPerfect guide, perfect tour, tasty foodWhat a positive and wonderful surprise! We are a group of some 30 people, socializing once a month to hear interesting lectures and often combine it with an enriching tour. Daniel (the tour guide) proposed to visit the nearby Druze village of Isfya, to learn about their history, and religion and taste their unique cooking. Daniel is knowledgeable and well-prepared, and his close interaction and relationships with the local community are amazing. The tour was well-balanced, we heard a short lecture presented by a local, emancipated, Druze lady, and continued to see the local village and its 1000 years of history, including an old mosaic of an ancient synagogue, enjoyed the view and the people, and concluded in an amazing house/restaurant of Rima and her husband who are wonderful people and exquisite cook. I am sure we will use Daniel as a guide soon.Written 15 June 2024
- losspro0 contributionsSea of Galilee in solitudeDid a couple of tours with Israel with Fun and was very pleased. The second tour was the Footsteps of Jesus tour and were very pleased with our guides. They made sure we were safe and the sites were open before departing as several sites were unstaffed due to the conflict. One site even sent someone to open the gates to let us tour on the Sea of Galilee. We never felt unsafe during the drive or at sites and we were steeled to return when it is more permissive to go to some of the areas that we couldn't. We will definitely be using Daniel again to do our next trip.Written 11 June 2024
- losspro0 contributionsGreat tour during tough timesHired Israel with Fun for a private tour of the Old Jerusalem and was very pleased. Communication while booking was excellent using Whatsapp. Guide met us at our hotel and then we walked the entire route which was perfect. Unfortunately the conflict has affected tourism and it was obvious in sites being randomly unstaffed but we got to see everything we wanted to. It was nice to have some of the usually busy sites to ourselves but we felt for the locals that are struggling to feed their families.Written 11 June 2024
- HAndrei5460 contributionsTasty and enlighteningA 3-hour tour of the German colony and Wadi Nisnas in Haifa. It was indeed amazing even for us who knew the area. Daniel, a good story-teller, is both funny and informative without being didactical.Written 28 December 2023
- Dikureiki0 contributionsDruzlandWe were in a tour in Usafia We learned about the culture of the Druze community It was very interesting and informative We heard a lot of fascinating stories. We drank delicious coffee and finished the tour with a local lunch .Written 25 December 2023
- Carolroad0 contributionsWonderful and Honorable GuideWe had the pleasure of going on Daniel's Nazareth and Sea of Galilee tour in Sept 2023. Daniel was a wonderful guide and we highly recommend his tours. In addition, we booked a cruise in April/May of 2024, with a day in Ashdod and Haifa and then we were to disembark the ship very early on the third day. We liked his tour so much that we booked tours for this 2024 cruise. We also emailed possible options for transportation from the Haifa port to Tel Aviv airport. He helped us with several options. All this planning took many emails and he was very patient and helpful throughout the process of selecting and booking these tours and transportation. Unfortunately, the war started in Israel and we cancelled our cruise and plus these and many other private tours. Even though Daniel was the only tour operator in a war zone, he refunded our deposits faster than any other company. He's not only a great tour guide but a VERY honourable man.Written 31 October 2023
- IHGSH0 contributionsFantastic tour, perfect in every way!We had an incredible day with Daniel! He picked us up at the port in Haifa. So educational, we toured Nazareth and the Sea of Galilee. Simply outstanding. It was hot and he had chilled water bottles available throughout the day. I learned so much, it was really incredible. He’s easy to find and keep track of in his crazy hat too! Lunch was amazing. Highly recommend, he’ll customize the tour to be exactly what you want it to be. Praying for peace in Israel so we can go back for another tour with Daniel.Written 10 October 2023
- michaeljF1217OH0 contributionsNazareth and the Sea of GalileeWe chose Israel with fun as the reviews were outstanding and having Daniel (with crazy yellow hat) as our tour guide was a real bonus. Nothing too much trouble, very knowledgeable, chilled water always available, superb lunch stop too! He even changed our itinerary at the last minute so we could fit in the River Jordan. We would recommend Daniel and his company to all visitors.Written 1 October 2023
- Jimslaw0 contributionsDaniel is much more than simply Israel with FunDaniel was the consummate professional, but with the personality that matches his passionate knowledge of his country, its history, and its culture. He is informative, without being overbearing, and opinionated in a way that, while scrupulously diplomatic, nevertheless allows guests to understand much more than most of our commonly held perceptions. Spending the day with Daniel was both educational and entertaining, so count us among the many travelers who offer our enthusiastic recommendation of his services.Written 29 September 2023

We did a private tour with Daniel of both Caesarea and Haifa. Daniel is extremely fun guide. He makes the experience of touring come alive with his love of hats. He can pull a different one for any occasion.
In Caesarea we saw ruins of once mighty port and Daniel walked us through what it would have looked like in its heyday. In Haifa we had the opportunity to taste the various cuisines of Israel from falafel to humus freshly made from scratch to order. The food was nothing we’ve ever tasted in the states.
Daniel interweaves his knowledge of history, archaeological sites, famous landmarks with his personal story of immigration. This makes the tour feel that much more personal.
We enjoyed the tour very much and recommend Daniel for any group that wants to tour Israel.

Daniel was kind enough to customize our tour. He picked us up at the Port of Haifa after our cruise (Note, if you have luggage, drivers are not allowed to come to the ship. We had to take a port shuttle bus to another area of the port), he showed us around Haifa and Caesarea before bringing us to our hotel in Tel Aviv. It was a long day, but Daniel was energetic the entire time as he shared his extensive knowledge of Israel and brought stories to life with his variety of hats! He was well prepared with binders of photos that supplemented the stories he told about each location. When we got hungry, he brought us to a market in Haifa where he often does food tours, and we ate at an authentic, homestyle market "buffet". He also introduced us to Knafeh, a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with spun pastry. Daniel truly made our Israeli tour a fun (and tasty!) experience!!

Daniel is THE BEST - he gave us a fantastic tour of Haifa and lead us on a fantastic lunch/culinary tour of the Arab market. I can’t recommend Daniel highly enough. First, he’s incredibly easy to work with and made planning the trip so easy. He’s great at responding to questions in advance of the tour and made sure we were comfortable with the schedule and that we knew how to meet up with him and then get back to our flat in Tel Aviv. Second, Daniel is incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of Israel in general and Haifa in particular. He told wonderful stories about all aspects of history and culture and has a great sense of humor as well. We’ll definitely be hiring Daniel again on our next trip to Israel.

Daniel, met us on the walkway from immigration to the exit. You cannot miss him! He had an excellent and fun 5 min opening talk which put us all at ease. We docked at mid day and due to severe delays with the Israeli immigration process we only had 10 minutes at the top of the Bahai gardens, but they were magnificent. His English is very good and his talks are informative and thought provoking in relation to Israel and the Middle East.

Daniel is an outstanding and fun guide. His knowledge of Haifa, the markets, the Baha'i Gardens and Israel in general is immense. We did a combined culinary and Haifa tour and we couldn't have had more fun. I will definitely tour with Daniel again the next time we visit Israel. He is one of the best tour guides we have ever had and is definitely the most fun.
