      Great tours and fantastic people
Hello to all employees of Tourist Israel! It was a wonderful experience to be in your beautiful country! The service and contact of the people at your office is in one word great! The guide and the taxi drivers are also completely great! I really felt at home in Israel! I will come back soon and will book everything with you again! Thank you for everything and the good service! I wish you all the best!

      Do NOT book!
BEWARE! Do NOT book with this company! The last interaction you'd have with them is when they TAKE YOUR MONEY! Afterwards, silence... No tour, AND, no refund, either!!!

Avoid and save yourself the unpleasantness and disappointment
Gifted this tour and was incredibly disappointed. Late start. No answer at the number listed for emergencies... Did not include the promised itinerary; Bethlehem had no Christmas decorations at all; no room for tourists in the churches visited--they were already full to capacity. The celebratory meal was fine and the hotel booked by the agency was fine. But the main attractions-NIL. And I did call in advance and ask if Bethlehem would be safe and functioning and was reassured it would be.

Avoid Tour Israel. They will cancel with short notice and not refund payment.
Avoid this tour provider. While in Israel, I booked three separate day tours through Tour Israel for a total of over $400. They cancelled all three when they failed to get the minimum number of participants. In one case they booked a tour at 11:30 the day before it was scheduled and canceled it at 3:30 that afternoon. In each case they promised to refund the payment to my credit card “within 7-14 business days “. It has now been close to 21 days and no refunds have been processed. I could not help but notice how this differed from my experience in Egypt and Jordon where 2 overcharges by separate vendors were refunded to my credit card immediately. In one case, within 5 minutes. Unfortunately, Tour Israel was one of two tour companies in Israel engaging in the book, cancel and don’t refund scheme. It left a very sour taste in my mouth regarding not just these companies but Israeli business ethics in general. My Egypt, Jordan, Israel trip was a bucket list item spoiled by the multiple cancelled day tours in Israel. Failure to refund the payments adds insult to injury.

Excellent, safe, and fun tour of Galilee
Max did great as a guide and our driver was safe/professional. The guide, Max was sensitive to my wife's disabilities. Max was multilingual too, knowing both Spanish and Russian, as do I. This was helpful, as I didn't need to translate to Spanish for my wife. He could speak directly with her. The tour was great also because I preferred to relax and let someone else drive for a day. We felt safe and cared for as well, given the current conflict situation. The tour was timely, fun, and educational. It was a pleasure to experience what Israel's northern Galilee region had to offer. We came to Israel to volunteer, as well as for sightseeing. We came to stand with Israel in this difficult time, and felt safe and fulfilled in doing so.

High Energy Fun. Amazing Guide. Highly Recommend!
ATV Desert Buggies in the Negev was amazing! The machines were fabulous and our guide - Daniel - was amazing. We had SO much fun. We went for 2 hours, but next time we will take a longer trek. He took us on an amazing ride around the crater - served the best homemade cold tea ever and explained how the crater was formed with greater clarity than I've ever heard. Was absolutely very high energy and fun - but completely safe. Kids had an amazing time! We will absolutely be back and highly recommend!

Transfer from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem
Taxi ride was a good guy, but he accidentally deleted my pick up so he was an hour plus late. I had to call him to find out where he was. He got there within the half hour after I made the phone call, which was great. He said that a pick up was canceled, but he deleted the wrong one accidentally. We all make mistakes.

      Must see locations
All three locations were amazing. The tour requires a fair amount of hiking in Ein Gedi and Masada, but it is absolutely worth it! Driving through the Judean desert is beautiful, floating in the Dead Sea is a unique experience everyone should try. The views in Ein Gedi and Masada are incredible.

Know the difference between a "tour" and a "transfer"
Seeing that this is a touring company, I booked what I thought was a private tour to the south with a professional guide. However, they called it a "transfer" and simply provided me with a regular taxi driver at double the price of the open market. Be warned to read the small print and distinguish the difference between a "tour" and a "transfer". To their credit, the service/corresponce with the company was good and the taxi was clean and comfortable with a friendly and safe driver.

      Do Not Use Them!
5 days before our trip we have a pc to firm up details & pricing for multiple tours. 2 days later the invoice comes, looks nothing like our discussion & is for $2K LESS than agreed upon. A tour company couldn’t sort (for example) 4 afternoons at $500 per for just 2 people? Their excuse was “the war, people aren’t coming”. My hotel was full of tourists & we met tourists everywhere we went- on our own, in a country where we didn’t speak or read the language. We did use TI for a 3 day Petra tour, which was lovely, but the preparatory comms were abysmal: delayed, unclear, spotty at best. Informed we needed to file docs for entry to Jordan in advance that was only sent to us the night before leaving! After spending 2 frustrating hours online, discovered it was completely unnecessary. Because it was after hours, we called the emergency number provided, to try to get clarification, but no one answered. Find a different tour operator; this one is unreliable & unresponsive.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour; offered variety: Mt Nebo, Jerash(!), Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba; interesting experiences with different people & cultures. Guides were fine; Ali in Petra could have shared more information: background, history about Petra. Jerash guide was excellent-well informed and shared much information about incredible Jerash. The transportation in Jordon was tight for 6 people. Our driver, Kayed was very responsive, cheerful, punctual, a safe driver, willing to meet any need and offering additional ideas & suggestions if interested.

My wife and I joined this tour in February 2022. It was a memorable tour. The value is quite good. It is not a private tour, so you will be travelling with many other people. The company tries to maximize the number of people on the bus, which is understandable/reasonable. The trip involves a LOT of driving in a short period, but you will see Aqaba, Wadi Rum, beautiful rural spots in Jordan and Petra and then return to Jerusalem all in a 48 hour period. It is a pretty intense itinerary but that is to be expected. This is something you could not do on your own! So be ready for a lot of driving. Highlights included the jeep tour in Wadi Rum, the overnight camp in Wadi Rum (we didn't upgrade and found the "standard" arrangement to be excellent, but people who upgraded were happy as well). Make sure you read Tourist Israel's clear guidelines about what you need to bring with you to cross the Israel/Jordan border, as there are fees and cash is the best way to pay. The company has reps on both sides of the border to help you through (you must cross on foot). The tour will take you to an ATM in Aqaba if you want to obtain Jordanian dinars (obviously the best currency to use in Jordan). Our guide (Mithqal) was excellent and he had a good sense of humor.

The bus seats from Jerusalem to the border are very cramped if you are over 6ft tall - knee in the back of the seat cramped for 5hrs. The bus ride is pretty rough down there so not much chance you will be sleeping on the ride. Our first day had a surprise itinerary change and ended up being 19hrs long and all to see Petra for about 2.5hrs. When you get to Petra, the locals constantly try to sell you stuff. The Wadi Rum itin was fine but again 2hrs or so on the jeeps. So it's a 36hr commitment o fwhich you are on buses or at the border crossing for 19hrs, you sleep for 8hrs or so, and then you tour / dine for 9hrs.

I worked with Tourist Israel for some time to make sure I understood what the tour involved since it was going to be quite an expense for my family group of 3. All my questions were answered, and so we booked our tour and were really looking forward to it. Due to the pandemic, we had to cancel. It did take a lot of time and some pressure, but I did get a refund, which I appreciate. I can only give three stars because we didn't end up going on the tour. But, in the end, they did give me a refund.

Seems like a scam??? A really disappointing experience. Our travel from Jerusalem to Aqaba was all over the place and it seems they just take your money and then go and contract other, cheaper providers to do the work - while making a huge profit for doing nothing. Our shuttle to Aqaba was chaotic, people were left on the side of the road, we stopped unnecessarily in the middle of the night, some people didn't know where they were going and thought they were on the wrong bus. I tried to talk to Tourist Israel about this but they refuse to engage - it all seems dodgy and underhand

Dear Traveler, We apologize for the disappointing experience during your travel from Jerusalem to Aqaba. We take your feedback seriously and have implemented improvements, including having a company representative at the pick-up point to provide better assistance and information. Regarding said unnecessary stops, please have in mind that the drive from Jerusalem to Eilat is a long one, and for some, these stops might be appreciated and needed. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope to have the chance to provide a better experience in the future.

Amazing experience 4 day trip to Jordan. Tour guide Wael was knowledgeable, funny, and patient. Amazing experience though wish bus had usb charger plugs. Petra was amazing. Wadi Rum Bedouin Camp was amazing. The first driver didn’t speak much English and we didn’t know much of what was going on but Wael made up for him.

Petra and Wadi Rum are beautiful. We liked the hotels in the tour (camp in Wadi Rum and a night in Petra). Our guide, Ahmed, didn’t seem to have too much information about the sites and in general was not a good leader for the group, and ignored most of our questions (especially women’s). They took us to expensive restaurants and souvenir shops (TOURIST TRAPS). They made us pay a ridiculous amount for a lunch in Aqaba after spending the whole night in a bus and being tired and confused. We thought it was abusive. The worst part was the bus on the way to Eilat, which was 40 minutes late and the driver or the guide that helped us cross the border didn’t give us any information or instructions. We enjoyed our experience, but I would not travel with Tourist Israel again, as they are insulting their own customers.

Our experience was amazing! Wadi Rum was an unexpected pleasure especially our stay at the Bedoin Camp. We upgraded to the Martian Tent- igloo and it was totally worth it. Karem, our guide was professional and knowledgeable. It was obvious he enjoyed sharing his culture. The drive was long from Jerusalem but the driver was very safe and careful. I highly recommend this journey.

While sympathizing with the business operators on the ongoing unrest in Israel, I will not hesitate in pointing out their poor practice in issuing refunds. They still owe us a portion of our refund.
My wife purchased a tour (booking number TI22710933) for our family of wife. We obviously cancelled it. We were expecting that in compliance with their published refund policy they would deduct 5% and return us the remaining amount.
In reality they still owe us $634 of the estimated refund.
They do not realize that this is not a negligible amount and that they must keep their end of the bargain. My wife has written them several emails but has not received any response other than the bot-generated response.
I am not here to malign them, but I think after having waited for over 3 months it's about time, they either tell us that they are giving us back our money or be bold and brazen enough to tell us that we should forget about it.
BUSINESS OWNERS, PLEASE ADDRESS SO THAT WE SO NOT PERMANENTLY SHY AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU.

Very well organised at the border both sides; the drivers were also good as well was the guide who seemed to be able to answer any question thrown at him.
What was bad was the last meal near Petra at sand and stone, incredibly bland tasteless food which was a pity because the rest of the trip the food was v good.
