About
Leaving from Jerusalem early in the morning, we’ll drive south, to the foot of Masada. the site of one of the greatest tales and heroism. The excavated ruins are fascinating to explore, and the remarkable location high above the surrounding desert and Dead Sea, makes this a might impressive experience. After exploring the magnificent fortress, the next stop is Ein Gedi , a beautiful nature reserve with waterfalls and the last stop is at a 'private beach' on the Dead Sea for a float & enjoy the unique opportunity to float in the waters and immerse yourself in the famous mud.

Masada Dead Sea
Mar 2020 • Friends
The places we visited were exceptional however our driver really took on the role of driver and dropping us off without any explanation of where were going. Also the van we rode in was terribly old and dirty.

Amazing masada, ein gedi day trip from jerusalem
This was my first day trip in Israel with Funtime tour company to Masada, Ein gedi and dead sea. It was a self guided tour with transportation from and to Jerusalem to all these places. The driver Eran Levy was very kind and nice and drove us around in a safe way. He answered our questions on the way and gave us enough time at each spot to enjoy. Loved Masada and Ein Gedi part bit the dead sea experience was not the best, partly because of weather and partly because of the muddy beach we went to. The other tourists in our group told us that it is better to go a private beach for real dead sea experience.
So perhaps that is a feedback for the company to take the tourists to a better place where they can experience real dead sea experience.
Rest was amazing. Definitely recommed this tour.

Make sure you have travel insurance ... no honestly
We booked a 1 day tour to Petra from Tel Aviv. We knew it was going to be a long day as our pick up time was 3am, but it’s a bucket list experience. So we decided to take the hit.

Good points about the day:
- Petra was amazing, a once in a lifetime opportunity
- Assistance at the border, even though it was very disorganised
- The guides advice was sound, giving us do’s and don’ts in Petra
- We got it all done in a day, as we were restricted on time
- Pick up was on time
- The morning drive to the border was safe, but long. Safety first!

Bad points about the day:
- The driver in the morning did not say 2 words to us. We got on the bus and had no idea how long the journey would take or the plan for the day ahead or nor did he seem keen to engage
- We had to take multiple stops for example Jerusalem and Eilat Airport - this added a good 90 minutes to our morning journey. Meaning we arrived at the border at 10.30. We got picked up at 3.20am.
- When we got on the bus to Petra, we were told that lunch was at 4PM - bearing in mind we had been up since 3am.
- The tour was great, however we feel like it was rushed. The information the guide gave could of been better or more detailed.
- Even though its great to see in one day, i suggest if you have time - do a 2 day tour as it’s 23 hours in total to drive there, see it and drive back.
- There was a very unnecessary stop on the way back at a souvenir shop the guide knew. This was not needed and it was just another excuse for the guide to earn commission. The people on the coach did not want or need this stop.

Shocking points about the day:
- The return journey was what i can only describe as a death trap. The mini bus was very modern and clean - however the driver and his minion is what i can only describe as laurel and hardy on ecstasy. I realised we were in for a shocking journey when the driver went over a speed bump at about 50mph. I felt like ET taking off into the skies, but taking off in a 21 seater minibus rather than a bike.
- The driver was not paying attention. Constantly playing with the Radio and swerving between lanes - this was unsafe
- The driver was taking bends at what i can only describe as aero dynamic speeds. I asked him to slow down as all the passengers felt unsafe, he ignored this advice and proceeded to drive like Lewis Hamilton.
- The driver then stopped for a good 5 minutes in Jerusalem to grab some pillows for his assistant. No one got on or off here and it was a complete waste of time.
- The driver applied the brakes at the very last possible second, overtaking on blind bends and driving up the rear of other cars - this was stupid behaviour and made all passengers feel uneasy and unsafe
- The Minion offered to drop us near our hotels. However he then changed his mind as ‘the driver was unauthorised to stop’. However, it seems like the driver was authorised to drive like an absolute mug and put everyones lives in danger. Even though they were driving passed our hotel, they refused to stop and made us walk back from a single drop off point at 1.30am. Bearing in mind we have been up since 3am for this tour.
- When another passenger challenged the drivers driving behaviour, the minion did not see an issue and said ‘he’s not driving fast’.

To conclude, Petra was amazing, stunning in fact. However, based on the journey back alone i would not recommend this tour to any man, woman, child or animal in the land. If i had kids with me, i would of got off the bus for their safety. If you are thinking about dying anytime soon, give this tour a try. However if you appreciate life and want to be treated with respect - then i would give this one a miss.

As you can see on other reviews, this cowboy company refuses to take any accountability or apologise for any bad experiences. So i would avoid booking with these numskulls. Over and out.
