Our tour guide was Amir Call Or. Outstanding and full of energy, much better than I had expected. Amir shared a lot of interesting and relevant information from the 1st second we entered the bus until he let us off - including about towns and areas we passed on the way to and from Jerusalem. Please be prepared for the tour by getting a good nights sleep before. The vast knowledge Amir possesses, he shares willingly and the information density is extremely high. You don't want to miss any of it, believe me!
Since I am so overwhelmingly positive about the tour guide, I'd better write some comments about items that could be improved, and they are:
- We were picked up from the hotel by another bus from the same company to a gathering area from where the different tours then departed. The waiting time until Amir's bus turned up could have been shorter. Also the different buses were numbered but it turned out that all tourists were walking back and forth looking for their buses. This could have been better organized by the tour company (no shadow on Amir though)
- The chosen lunch restaurant in Jerusalem was so so. But we were told we could go anywhere nearby to eat (there were lots of alternatives) and then be at a certain location for the rest of the tour. I'd go for the latter option next time.

Dear MIchael,
We are always happy to read when travelers come away enlightened and wit ha memorable tour experience.
AMir is very worthy of the praise you bestsow upon him for his skill and vast knowledge,This acknowledgement is spot on!!
We thank you for sharing advice and impressins that we need to take to our attention. An organised lunch stop is crucial in order to keep on tour shedule. If Only!! we could scatter 30 40 travelers to their own request and assume they will be therafter , considerate to group and punctual.(We certainly!! have attempted this option for years)NEver mind those who simply get lost in the 100m radius!!
Our morning embarkation procedure is worked on daily so its smooth and prompt.too many factors: volumes of people involved and city traffic , all paramenters have been considered
.We leave approx 8.00 inTel Aviv.
Volumes of travelers have to move between the rows looking for thier bus>there is no other suitable location , we have to do this in . 20 mins is standard to move large numbers of travelers daily off to their tours.

Enjoyed the walking tour of the Old CIty. I recommend going on Friday so you can see Mt Zion instead of the Holocaust Museum. I'd rather spend more time at the museum than a tour would allow anyway and getting to see King David's Tomb and Dormition abbey was nice. Our tour guide Itamar was great, very knowledgeable and full of fun facts and stories.

Thanks for this rave t star review of your tour guided by Itamar.
a highly respected and experienced young guide on our team.
He desrves such praise for his efforts nad professionalism and pleasant manner
Yes on Fridays for those who wish more of Jerusalem in ancient biblical times, this is a great itinerary.
Indeed Yad Vashem Holocaust location derseves more than whatone can get in an .1,5 hrs walkthrough as our tour does,
if one has the time ..
Hope to see you again soon.

Tour guide Lorne was fantastic, as an expert in archaeology and history, he gave in depth history and also legends behind all the sites in this tour, I was particularly impressed by the Church of Holy Sepulture and the Western Wall. The tour was not rushed, and it was just enough length to cover all the important religious and cultural sites of Judaism/Christianity/Islam. I will highly recommend this to the busy travelers who can spend 1 day to explore the old city of Jerusalem.

This tour was conducted by Lorne Newman, and I highly recommend him as a tour guide. He had a lot of insight on the attractions and presented a fact based perspective that I found very helpful. One day is certainly not enough to see everything in Jerusalem, but this tour is a fantastic introduction. Will definitely be trying more tours with Bein Harim on future visits.

We were weary of doing a tour with a large group, but Yuval Bigio, our tour guide, was excellent and made our group of 20 strangers become friends. Yuval has all of the traits of a great tour guide; he is knowledgeable, likeable, funny, and well organized. We packed a lot of sites into our day tour of Jerusalem, Yuval kept us going, and informed along the way. I would definitely do other tours with him!

Hotel pick up about 7.30 - you have to go through the pick ups fist, then a few more in Jerusalem, then a tourist shop which was selling tat. We purchased an English tour but mostly they were Spanish speakers so we had the tour in 2 languages - but when the tour actually began on the Mount of Siani, all was forgiven.
The tour guide Ruben was excellent, so informative and to the pint answering any questions as we went along and the way he swapped languages was admirable.
We witnessed the amazing view over the Jewish cemetery and the old city, then later when parked up a walk to out side the city walls to the church, in to the city to the Walling Wall, through the Market place to the Church of Jesus and back out again.
Jerusalem is beautiful, full of charm and an amazing place to visit.
Although religious and all about the centre of religion, Gods city & the story of Jesus with a little knowledge about politics, history, archaeology and the Muslim faith, it was enjoyable for everyone, even me as an atheist.
The tour then drove to the Holocaust Museum, an amazingly designed museum with a moving, walk round interactive perspective in what was a horrific part of time. But totally incredible to learn so much - it was both moving and incredible. One hour wasn't enough - so much t see and read and you really want to engage.
Then a trip back to Tel Aviv - roughly 1- 1 & 1/2 hours depending on stops and traffic.

If you are looking to travel to Jerusalem for a day I recommend using Ben Harim Tours. Our tour guide was enthusiastic and the hotel pick up/drop off was easy. It usually runs from ~630am to 7pm depending on traffic if you do the old city / holocaust museum tour. They give you time to wander on your own and buy gifts and food.

One day tour with our guide Ami - a guy with never ending information and interesting details he chared with us. Great knowledge of Jerusalem and historical details, but also of the day-to-day life in Israel. The tour was great. Pick up at the hotel was working good, however the "pic up guy/guide" hade lemons for breakfast - he can stay at home next time.

I travelled with a friend to Israel. Due to our limited time, we only had one day for Jerusalem. Therefore, we chose the guided day tour to see the major sights in the Old Town. The whole trip was perfectly organized and our guide, Lorne, did an excellent job throughout the whole day. He gave us so many interesting insights and at the same time had a great sense of humour. We can definitely recommend the company and Lorne as a guide.

Fridays and Saturdays only available, due to the Sabeth but is there anything that is missed off the tour and why else are these days not popular?

This tour is certainly popular! The location not visited is the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial in the west side fo the city, that is Sabbath observant, but, the Old City is totally open and bustling and we replace the museum visit with other signifcant sights, as listed.
