- FarAway666763037710 contributionsA visit to Holy LandA holy and historical land. It was my dream to visit wonderful Petra caves in Jordan. Floating in the Dead Sea, standing on the Nebo mountain, where once Moses stood looking at the Promised Land, roaming along the Jordan river where Jesus Christ was baptized... everything made me elated. The Citadel in Amman is another wonder. As a historian and archaeologist I loved these places. Jordan is nice, jordanians are good. Though the trip is slightly expensive, its worth. The hotels are good. Be careful with some yellow taxis, they try to cheat. Jordan is benefitting from tourism. The government should not think that all tourists are rich. Let them help old people use battery vehicles at a lower price. Let senior citizens be respected. Pestering locals is another problem. The Jordan Pass is not accepted in several important places like Nebo Mountain, Christ's Baptism place, Churches in Madaba, the Jordan Museum in Amman etc. However, the copper Dead Sea scross in Jordan Museum is another wonder for me. If I have time, I will visit Jordan again. Altogether Jordan is safe for tourists.Written 11 November 2024
- Companion126361849940 contributionsAmazing experience. As a solo traveler, this place was very comforting and welcoming. One of the best massages I ever had. Place was amazing and the people there were even more amazing. My masseuse was fantastic and knew what she was doing. I’ve had three back surgeries so I’m always trying to be careful and she was excellent. The atmosphere was great and the hibiscus juice is one of the best juices I’ve ever had. They let me stay and do the Jacuzzi and steam before and after and tried to accommodate me with anything I needed. Jamal offered me 20% discount if I wanted to come back the next day and I took him up on it!!! They even walked me outside to make sure the cab driver didn’t try to charge me extra money. This is an authentic Turkish back house and amazing experience. I highly recommend it!!Written 2 November 2024
- tjabi0 contributionsBook with Zaid Tours and ONLY Zaid Tours. Incredible 10/10How can we put into words what an incredible trip this was? Such a seamless experience! Our tour guide Mahmoud was such a respectful, extremely informative and kind person who took care of us so well. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We also had Sofiane give us a tour of Petra - he is absolutely amazing as well. An overall 10/10 experience. We stayed in luxury hotels throughout and had such a wonderful time exploring Jordan. We did not have a single hiccup. We had a magical time exploring Petra, then stayed at the Bubble hotels in Wadi Rum, had tea with the locals, went star gazing, almost went on a hot air balloon ride (but didn’t due to weather), enjoyed the Dead Sea at the Kempenski hotel. We could go on for pages about how perfect this trip was. All we can say is DO NOT HESITATE and book with Zaid Tours. They will not disappoint!Written 6 October 2024
- Andrew W0 contributionsAn authentic Jordanian experienceMy guide Mahmoud was superb. I like to learn about the society of the country I am visiting as well as see the sights and in this respect Mahmoud was brilliant, providing me with wonderful insights about the people of this great country. I do not drink so Mahmoud offered to replace the wine tasting with a Turkish Hammam experience which is really something. Don’t go for the “hard” massage unless you’re prepared to be seriously pummeled. The dinner at a local, non tourist restaurant was first class. Really great traditional Arab food. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and Mahmoud’s company and cannot recommend this experience more highly.Written 28 September 2024
- ABrown6000 contributionsExcellent 5 day tourI would like to take the opportunity to thank you for arranging my trip around Jordan. It has been a wonderful experience. Thank you for choosing Hassan as my tour guide. He has been brilliant from before I travelled until my drop off in Amman now. Always punctual and communication has been brilliant. Checks if I am ok especially in Petra when he heard fireworks. A better and more professional person would be difficult to find. Loved the locations we visited. Hassan’s knowledge is brilliant. He also got a very good guide for me on Petra. Please pass on my thanks to him. He has made my holiday the wonderful experience it has been.Written 27 September 2024

- GTSYGTSY0 contributionsVery niceJust had this tour of Jordan. Entire tour was seamless and worry free with all accommodations, transport, meals (except lunch), guides to Petra and Jerash arranged. Just have to arrive at Jordan with your bags. Would recommend this tour to all first time visitors to Jordan. Driver Mr Mahmood was also polite and on time every day. If there is anything to improve on is that the two night stay in Petra is too much for me. If can replace one night stay in Petra with Wadi Rum will be perfect tour.Written 2 August 2024

- bobmC9687UY0 contributionsPetra is beyond amazing.Firstly, our driver and guide were simply incredible. Firas (our driver) was kind, knowledgeable, funny and engaging the entire way there and back. Upon arrival to Petra, he managed the process of acquiring our tickets and introducing us to our guide, Mariam. Marium was probably the best guide our family has ever had in our travels. The vast majority of guides in this part of the world are men, so my girls loved that we were able to get such an incredible woman. Mariam was a teacher in her prior career and it showed in her current one. She was great with my two girls and family overall and had the perfect amount of information to share along our journey through Petra. The sites and history of this magical place were beyond beautiful and mesmerizing. Additionally, but not to be overlooked, Mariam was a great photographer. She was very creative for all videos and photos. The volume of tourists on our trip was well below the norm given the current conflicts in adjacent countries, but we felt more than safe the entire time. Overall, I highly recommend this tour and our guides.Written 17 June 2024
- Mari E0 contributionsGORGEOUS AND FUN!This is the most beautiful trail I’ve ever seen. It’s not easy, but the guides/staff were helpful and it’s worth it! Be prepared to get wet and possibly a couple of bumps or scrapes. (I bruise easily, so I got quite a few keepsakes!) We didn’t ask for a guide initially, but Ali found us along the way and helped us get to the end. This turned out to be really useful since it’s been a while since my husband or I did any river hikes and there are areas with strong currents. Ali also gave us some really good videos and pictures we weren’t expecting! We tried to offer him a tip, but he refused it. The waterfall at the end of the hike is so beautiful and it was nice having time to relax and play in the water before turning back. I made the mistake of wearing my wedding ring. It was my “travel ring,” but I still meant to leave it on dry land and forgot. At one of the slides, the ring came off! I was sure it was gone forever, but another guide, Sameer, was nearby. He put on goggles and somehow found it! By that point, I had been so overwhelmed with the beauty and experience overall, I just burst into tears! We were staying at the Mujib Chalets across the street, so we didn't need to use the changing rooms. We did bring towels with us and the staff offered to hold them behind the desk during our hike. They also gave us string to tie our glasses on since we both had to wear them. If you can get away with contacts, do that, but the string method worked well enough. The life jackets have been through some wear-and-tear, but they're sufficient to the cause. We took our time, playing in the water and taking lots of pictures and it took us about 2 1/2 hours to complete the whole thing.Written 3 June 2024
