About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- I4927NKscottl0 contributionsArcheological Tour in BahrainWe had a great excursion with Farhat Tours today! We covered the fort, the ruins of an old temple, and the royal burial mounds.Written 27 October 2024
- Wenger96050 contributionsPersonal Tour of Old and new BahrainWe had a wonderful trip with an excellent guide! Angela and her driver were most accommodating and knowledgeable! The car was comfortable and cool. Water was provided. They took us off the beaten path to include something we wanted to see that was not part of the scheduled itinerary.? We never felt rushed or hurried. Would highly recommend!!Written 13 April 2024
- MatthewDWright0 contributionsA chance to see a part of Bahrain not often seen.We are regular visitors to Bahrain and we really enjoyed this tour. Our guide and driver were really friendly and welcoming and the tour was conducted at a comfortable pace (no rushing to the next attraction). It was really interesting to see some original architecture and learn about the previous owners and their place in Bahrain’s history. We really got to see a part of the Island that not many people bother to visit. If you’ve been on some of the other Bahrain tours, we would definitely recommend booking this one.Written 1 November 2023
- Coastal166497596360 contributionsIf you like archeology or history, this tour is for you!Husain was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We will take another of his tours on our return to Bahrain. Highly recommended!Written 17 July 2023
- ItchyFeet3190 contributionsExcellent TourWe took a half day tour with our driver Mr Kader and a quite excellent guide Mr Fadhel. We started at the excellent museum where Mr Fadhel brought the exhibits to life but only after an unplanned trip to the Grand Mosque which was amazing. Further trips to the fort, burial grounds and a potters factory made for a fascinating trip. The tour was a fascinating overview of Bahrain but Mr Fadhel added so much perspective on so many subjects I could have listened to him all day. I have no hesitation recommending this tourWritten 3 February 2022
- DesertRose960 contributionsTree of Life in BahrainWhen you see this tree, you will just wonder how it survives the desert heat and always remain green throughout the year for over 400 years. Yeah, it's right 400+ years! It's a mystery you must see. It is 40 KM from the main city (Manama), you can get there by car on your own or a tourist agency can take you there.Written 3 September 2019
- Khin_130 contributionsPleasant day of exploring a ruinThe fort was a half hour walk from my hotel, which was next to the Seef Mall. The ruins of the fort made for a pleasant and interesting afternoon of exploration. There is a museum nearby that offers an electronic guided tour. You have to pay for this, and for the entrance to the museum, but the ruin itself is free. There is an alfresco cafe next to the sea where you can have a quiet drink and chat. Apparently, there is a light show at night, although we didn't stay for it.Written 13 April 2019
- adrian2620180 contributionsNeither customer oriented nor cooperativ agencyI recommend to use a different agency because of the following: 1. This tour is more expensive as it is advertised as a "Private Tour". Nevertheless, we were picked up at the hotel and were introduced to other people. I asked the guide for clarification and he informed me that this is not a private tour and suggested to write an email to the agency - which I did directly after the tour. Although the agency confirmed that it was the "cheaper" group tour, they refused to transfer the difference of the prices. Furthermore, they were neither customer oriented nor cooperative as they did not reply to my email at the beginning and copy pasted the answers without answering my questions or read my arguments. 2. The tour itself is very stressful as you have no time to look around (e.g., in the museum). The tour guide follows a very strict time table which prevents customers from enjoying the tour / get a proper look at everything. As a result, you are running around without getting an impression of the history of the city. 3. I have to admit that the visit of the mosque is a highlight. However, this part of the tour is outsourced to the mosque itself and they provide a guide for 45 minutes.Written 20 October 2018
- agrundy0 contributionsVery Educational. Great for history buffs.I really enjoyed this tour, given by a local Bahrani who was very informative on the history of Bahrain dating back for centuries.Written 21 January 2018
