- orazioamanzio0 contributionsNice morning horse riding in BahreinDespite some initial problems with my first attempt in booking the ride and then cancel it due to no response from local tour (Visit Bahrain), the day after I was contacted by Kimmy of Visit Bahrain who offered us a free horse ride apologizing for the initial issues. The tour was very nice, good horses and very nice guide. We really enjoyed it. Many thanks to Kimmy and Visit Bahrain for the professional customer service follow up and for being very nice with us. Very much appreciated.Written 7 March 2023

The guide was brilliant. She was very knowledgeable and explained things very clearly. The morning part of the tour was interesting and the best part was when the guide explained the different exhibits in the museum. The other places we visited in the morning tour were ok but they were things that I had seen the day before and are very easy to see on your own.
The guide did her best to make the afternoon tour interesting but there is only so much you can do. The first oil well and the tree of life are interesting but you don’t need much time to see them.
However, what was very disappointing was none of the people on the tour had been told when we booked it that we would not be going to BIC - the Bahrain Formula One circuit. That was what we were all looking forward to most. Had I known we would not be going there, I would have only have done the morning tour.

This is honestly one of the best tours I've ever done for several reasons. First, the locations that we went to were all diverse--people with a variety of interests would enjoy this tour. Every location was so different from the next but also was representative of Bahrain culture.
Next, the information that the tour guides gave was really interesting. For a tour with this many stops, there just isn't enough time to see every tiny detail at each stop, but the guide did an excellent job of telling me all of the important cultural and historical facts I needed to fully enjoy each location.
Finally, the tour guides themselves were such fun to be around! I was with Helicia and Toqeer and they obviously enjoy their jobs very much. They communicated well with each other, the people who work with the locations we stopped at, and also the people on the tour as well. They were both funny and thoughtful throughout the whole day. The two of them really made this tour shine for me! I cannot recommend this tour enough!

I enjoyed this tour very much. Our tour guide Husain Alhabib did a great job. Very friendly, knowledgable (professor at the university), accommodating and funny. The whole experience was very pleasant. Be prepared to have a full day filled with constant information about the stops and the history behind them. You even get to learn the basic phrases in Arabic.
One of his students was also on the tour and covered a few stops. She did a great job. Overall I was apprehensive about the price, but I was glad I did it. I have memories and stories to last years.
I recommend you bring light colored clothes because some of the sites like the fort are a short walk away. Also good pair of sunglasses would be a great idea.
The tour picks you up from the hotel and drops you off, there are refreshments provided.
Great experience, thanks Husain.

I was picked up from my centrally located hotel and was tur only participant in the morning segment of the tour. My guide was Bharthi and driver Tauqeer. The agenda was followed but did not include the Muharraq photo stop. The afternoon segment had three additional travellers and was more towards the south of Bahrain. The demarcation between the morning and afternoon segment happens at the souq stop (Bab Al Bahrain). If they had added the Muharraq stop and a drive by of the King Fahad Causeway, this would been the best day tour in Bahrain. Bharthi was very gracious and engaging guide and it was a pleasure to be on the tour with her. The stop at Fatih mosque could go for hours as the local guide there is very passionate about his religion. Overall, it was a good experience and I highly recommend it to anyone in Bahrain for the first time. Thanks a lot, Bharthi for your tips and commentary.

this was a great and a complete tour around the main island of Bahrain. es increíble ver el contraste entre lo antiguo, tradicional e histórico con todo la modernidad que ofrece este bello reino. "ahrbus" was the tour guide and he explains a lot of things, so we all can have a better aknowlegde of that asian country, the smallest of the middle east, but so big welcoming tourists; he also speaks some good spanish. was awesome for me the visti to grand masjid of Manama. haber entrado y verla y conocerla totalmente por dentro, it was so nice and holy. definitely I could go back anytime in the near future!!!!!!

I was picked up right on time with a nice air conditioned little bus. There was free juice and water all day and free wifi on bus. Tour was great! Ravinder Kaur explained all the stops, gave history, and even let us stop for a few extra photo opportunities. If you only have one day in Bahrain, do this tour and you will see all the highlights.

The tour was great! If this is the only thing you do in Bahrain, you will come away with an understanding of the history and culture. The tour guide did a great job at keeping the tour moving without rushing us. We saw everything from the Tree of Life to camels (royal camels) to burial mounts. I hope to return to Bahrain someday. Thank you all very much!

I wanted to take this tour, as I had a day-long layover in the small kingdom, and I wanted to see as much as possible. The itinerary did not disappoint! I saw both UNESCO-listed sites in the country, was exposed to the unique history connected to ancient Sumer in Mesopotamia, and saw every significant tourist destination on the two main islands. I loved it all. With this tour, travelers are able to see everything, but with only brief exposure to the dangerous heat of the Persian Gulf Region. The air conditioned minivan was the perfect vehicle. I must also praise my driver Toqeer and my tour director Katrina. They were both so professional and kind. Toqeer was the most responsible of drivers and Katrina was knowledgeable and a super conversationalist. I cannot recommend them or this tour enough!

Toqeer & Katerina send their warmest regards!
Thank you for your wonderful and detailed review. Means a lot. We hope to see you in Bahrain soon again, and maybe a bit more than a day layover so you see more of what the Pearl of Arabia has to offer.
