- lulykr0 contributionsFull day tour in Doha with lunchOr guide, Erick, was very knowledgeable and had an amazing personality!! My husband and I enjoyed spending the day in Doha learning about Qatari history and seeing the sites. Our tour began with a 10 am pick up from our hotel and our first stop was the State Mosque which was fantastic. While inside the mosque, we had a personal guide and ladies no need to worry about covering as they provide an abaya to wear. Our next stop was Souq Waqif where we learned about falconry and visited the falcon hospital. We wandered through the spice market and stopped by a cafe and learned how to play Dama (similar to checkers). Our next stop was a leisurely lunch at Souq Waqif which was delicious and super filling. We continued on to the Qatar National Museum which is absolutely stunning, I could have spent the whole day there!! Our next stop was Katara Cultural Village and ended the day with a quick drive through The Pearl neighborhood returning to our hotel around 5:30 pm. In total we walked about 4.5 miles. What to expect: hotel pick up and drop off, 6 person mini van with driver, water and soft drinks provided, lunch, knowledgeable tour guide.Written 5 February 2025

Lovely sunset visit to the East & West Sculpture and Zekreet Peninsula. We made a timely stop en route at the camel track just as a race was about to start. Driving alongside the racing camels and their owners was an unexpected highlight of the afternoon. In contrast to the excitement of the race watching the sun set over Richard Serra’s steel giants was oddly peaceful and otherworldly. Our guide for the afternoon, Jamir, was kind and accommodating throughout.

We opted for the afternoon tour to see the rock formations at Zekreet, which is on the other coast from Doha but only about 100km away.
Our guide, Haithem, was a friendly knowledgeable man with so much interesting information on Doha and all the areas we passed on our way to Zekreet.
We called by a private zoo but it wasn't in very good order nor did the animals look as though they were properly cared for. There was a variety of different animals including the Qatar airlines symbol, the Oryx. Another stop was the camel racing track where we learnt all about the camels and their little robotic jockeys. We were lucky enough to see a group of young ones being taken for training by the Sudanese carers. From there we headed to Zekreet which was once a busy town but now a tiny village with mainly sheep and goats. The rock formations were a sight to see as were the sculptures East West/West East by the renowned artist Richard Serra. Overall it was a very pleasant trip with cold water provided and an air-conditioned 4WD to travel in. If you want to see a little more of Qatar then Doha I highly recommend a trip out there with Haithem

Dear Denise C,
Thank you! yes this is a very interesting tour specially you will able to see the breathtaking sculpture with massive four steel plates each over fourteen metres in height (Richard Serra). Mr. Haythem is definitely one of our best tour guide because he can speak 3 different languages and he is very funny too.

It was so much fun! Our driver (Mohamed Hussain) was great, speaks really good English and knows how to drive a car (it was a lot of fun driving off road). We had a LOT of random questions and he answered everything sincerely. We learned a lot, loved the environment and company. Water supplied.

While in Qatar it is tempting just to stay in Doha, but there is so much to explore. Among the tours we took in Qatar was this West Coast Tour with Qatar International Adventures, and it was well worth it. Our travel guide Prakash very nice and very knowledgeable. I would recommend asking for him.

Dukkhan West Coast Tour is a must-do! Prem was a great guide who taught us a lot about the sites as well as Qatar in general. Our driver was also very professional and we felt safe all the time. It is a bit expensive (QAR 650 per person for full day tour) but it’s worth it. Having a knowledgable guide who is enthusiastic and a safe driver who navigates well makes a BIG difference! Definitely will do another tour with QIA!

I have lived in Qatar for 8 years and have done a few safaris and tours in Doha but nothing compared to this incredible experience to Richard Serra with Haithem and Sanjay. My friend came over from New Zealand and his knowledge of Qatar was amazing and we loved the sunset and keshta under the stars with arabic caffe and dinner
Thank you so much and highly recommend

We really enjoyed the camel race track and visiting the robot jockey repair shop. The mushroom domes and the abandoned settlement was also very interesting.

Mohammad Hussein was a great guide and knew all the best spots for photos! Very accommodating and resourceful, especially when one of our party needed a washroom in the middle of the desert.

As three international students, we recently got to enjoy this tour with Raman and Ameer (the guides and drivers for the day). It was a great experience, especially when we drove off-road to see the unique landscape and the East-West West-East piece of art. The guides told us a lot of interesting and also fun facts about the area we visited, but also about facilities we drove by on our way to Zekreet, like for example the camel racing track. We even had a quick stop at a beach near Zekreet on the way back from the amazing trip. One definitely needs to see the rock formations there, cause for me they are not comparable to any other place I have seen so far. Thank you again for the great time!
