Ricky is a great guide and able to personalise every aspect to your need. Great balance of seeing how real Bolivians live alongside having an in-depth tourist experience of La Paz and Lake Titicaca. Ricky has a long history with the boat builders at the lake and has many stories about their unique history.

This is an amended review. The original review read: “He didn't show up. We confirmed everything the day before and then he refused to answer and just ghosted me. When a guide doesn't even show up it ruins everything.” All that is true and valid. Much later in the day he contacted me and claimed his phone was stolen and that’s why he couldn’t contact me and why he didn’t show up. He did provide a refund. However, he later sent me messages on WhatsApp demanding that I withdraw the above review. I asked for a copy of his police report to prove that his phone was stolen just to validate his story and I was logging in to delete the review. Maybe it was stolen, maybe he just slept in? I can’t say. The truth is important for other travellers to know. So while I can’t say if his phone was stolen, I can say I waited over an hour with no contact from him or his organisation and I had no tour that day. He didn’t provide a police report but he did respond aggressively with all caps so I just blocked him on WhatsApp. You decide if you’d like to use him.

We enjoyed our trip to Lake Titicaca with Ricky. He was a good guide and told us about the culture and the people. It was like living like a local in La Paz. We took the cable cars (two different lines) to finally get to the bus station where we picked up a mini bus to the Boat makers place. The boat maker showed us how the reedboats are made. He took us out on the lake on a reed boat. We returned to La Paz by hailing down the local bus. My husband had a business call so we could not have lunch and that is why I have rated this tour 4 stars. Fun way to see another side of Bolivia. Highly recommend!!

Our guide’s English was pretty bad. We hardly understood anything about lake, history, etc… But worst part - when we booked - it said we are going to have some public transportation. Well. Everything was public transportation. 9 hours total on the public bus with stops and very crowded with locals carrying their home stuff… Even boat ride was public. Very confusing, exhausting trip. Did not enjoyed at all. End up been 16 hours of torcher…

Small group; spanish, english; very interesting and magical place and stories! Very expresive giude. Deffinetly worth the time and money!

This is absolutely awesome! The cars crisscross across the city - making every place accessible... it is clean, efficient and inexpensive! What a fantastic thing!
