The cathedral was amazing, bigger then expected. Lots of parts to it. You sure do need a comfortable walking shoe, because the cathedral is huge. The tour title tho, should read full day tour not half day. We took off around 930am, didn’t return until 5pm. Lunch is not included in the tour but they will take you to a restaurant to eat or wait for others. So you basically have no option than to eat and party with everyone. Lots of traffic! But overall it was definitely an amazing experience.

Alex was our tour guide and he was very considerate and thoughtful in ensuring that our happiness and safety was a top priority. We had the pleasure of having him take us to the Salt Catheral and Guatavita. However, after our lunch near the Salt Catheral we realized that we had left the jacket in the restaurant, and we’re well on the way to Ville de Leyva and was too far to turn back given the traffic (not to mention disruption to our iterinary). Alex promptly contacted the restaurant, and managed to get his contact to retrieve our jacket and have it mailed to our Airbnb in Medellin. Another time, when we arrived at San Gil, we found out that the hotel was not in a pleasant neighbourhood, and Alex offered to take us to Barichara and this was already very late at night. In taking his recommendations and his service, we felt extremely well taken care of and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone considering a trip to Bogota and around.

The Salt Cathedral Zipaquira was amazing and definitely worth visiting! However, you honestly do not really need to do the transfer through this company. While it was helpful, the entire Salt Cathedral experience involved us using an audio guide and we self-navigated our group through the cathedral. The tour company only did pick up and drop off from the city and bought the tickets, and I don't think the money was worth it for that. Additionally, although we were told we would have an English-speaking guide, he rode in a different car and while some of our group could communicate with the Spanish-speaking driver, it was not the experience we were expecting. I would recommend finding another way to get out the Zipaquira and buying your own tickets since I didn't see this service adding much value (although all of the people were extremely nice and personable).

Dear Trish Thank you very much for your comment, it is very important for us. Regarding your comment, we always try to adapt the tour to our customers, if they speak English, French, portuguese, etc., our driver is programmed in those languages and will try to do that service. However, this is not 100% (it is not even promised, actually), for that reason, we have developed our own audio guides on the cars and we invite people to become friends with other people who are in the same mood, this makes the trip more enjoyable. Here and anywhere in the world there is nothing better than buying with a good company, even more if the tour is recommended by hundreds of people, it is impossible to compare with an uber or a street transportation that often does not even know of Bogota, nor of tourism or how to handle tourists, while we are experts in this area. Now, if you want to risk (not because it is dangerous, but because it is a lottery) there will always be many options and variations, however we know that we are one of the best, our reputation talks. If you wanted to extend the time in the mine or the town, with us it is possible, you can tell the driver if there is another car on the way and arrange with him/her. Besides you also have internet in the vehicles, you have a person who can tell you about the city, places to go, eat, etc. In addition, we give you a map, you go with day insurance and we are constantly in service 24 hours/7 days. Furthermore, our cars are for tourism, modern, confortable and up-to-date papers. We do not know another company who cares so much about the country's reputation, about your experience and about our work as we do. The exercise of comparing companies and even with street services is excellent, but I can assure you that we fully comply with what we promise. Sometimes more, but never less. Thank you for your comment and we hope to serve next time.

Salt Cathedral is definitely worth visiting however, I'm not sure if booking a group tour added any value. The tour provides transportation to and from Zipaquira but doesn't add much value other than that. The tour guide did mention a few historical facts here and there on our drive to the Catherdral but nothing we couldn't have figured out on our own. The tickets are included in the price so once we got there, the tour guide purchased our tickets and the ticket office gave us all a phone looking device that explained the history and significance of each Cathedral display. The tour guide gave us 2 hours to explore and then meet outside at the meeting time. They then took us to the city center which was about 5 mins drive away and gave us 20 minutes to walk around before heading back. I think we could've planned our time and day better ourselves. The tour was helpful in taking care of the essentials. If I were to redo, I'd rather uber and buy my own ticket to have the flexibly to have lunch and explore the city.

Dear Shakee, We respect your opinion but the tour is much more than you comment. Always in a "new country" that you do not know, it is better to go with a responsable company that can help you step by step always focus on our clients and a high quality experience. We kno that always will be very difficult to meet everyone's expectations, so we try to be very clear in our information (descriptions) you see before buying. If you saw it in advance and you seemed short time at town and cathedral, perhaps our option does not fit you. Now, you would have told us and normally we have another tour that returns around 5pm of the cathedral, in that case you could tell us that you want to stay longer, that´s it. It is a tour that is very punctual, with a standard experience and yet ready to always give you the best. We are the only agency that does not line up in the attraction because we already have commercial agreements and because they have known us for a long time as good workers. Thank you very much for your comment because it will always make us grow.

Please listen to me. You are wasting your time if you book a tour of this place from Bogota! Luckily we rented a car and stopped by as part of a larger trip. This is a kitschy tourist trap. Perhaps great for a school field trip or someone who is deeply religious (although any of the multiple 16th century churches would be better options). You can skip this, trust me.

My friends and I had a chance to visit the Salt Cathedral Tour with Bogota Pass Tour and it was really nice to spend a day. Our driver even took us to a very delicous local restaurant for lunch.

We learned some good information about the Salt Cathedral and Salt mines.

This tour is highly recommended for anyone who visit Bogota.
