          All Myanmar
Khin Zaw helped me organize my vacation in Myanmar and it was the most beautiful vacation until now. Without his help, I don't know if I could see so many places. Khin Zaw helped me to see (at least): - Manday - Amarapura+Ava+Sagaing (including sunset and sunrise at U-Bein Bridge) - Bagan - Mt. Popa tour - Inle Lake -Kolaw+Pindaya+Inle - Yangon - 2 days at Golden Rock&Bago Myanmar is incredible, an extraordinarily pleasant surprise (and I visited 56 countries) and Khin Zaw has helped me tremendously with the organization especially since there is not much information available about the area. The car provided offers all the comfort for a warm area. The information offered during the tours as well as the places visited and the moments made my vacation unforgettable (he recommended for example to visit the bridge at sunrise because there are not so many tourists and he was also right, he recommended me 2 days to the Golden Pagodaand he did well). Thank you so much for your help Khin Zaw,

          enjoyable trip
We had a great time with Lynn and driver Aung San Oo in Yangon and Moe in Bagan!!! Both Lynn and Moe were polite and accomodating. Both Lynn and Moe were fun to chat with, and tailor our tour on the day depending on our requests. We would highly recommend RoadtoBurma! They have arranged private car transfer, private tour guide and domestic flights for us. It was a fruitful and fun filled trip.

          Enlightened experience
We took this tour as our second tour with Jack. I wrote another review for Yangon city tour with Jack at Tripadvisor. This tour is a drive to Bagu to visit a big monastery and buddhist temples. Jack made our tour experience worth to remember. Jack is personable and approachable which made us very comfortable during the tour. He was also interactive which made us learned more about the beautiful people and history of Myanmar. Thank you so much Jack for your warm hospitality and the vast knowledge of history you openly shared with us.

3 days touring during Myanmar Cruise stop
We were recently on an Azamara cruise and spent three full days in Yangon. We were a group of six and spent three wonderful days touring Yangon, Bago, and Dhala with our excellent tour guide Linn, and driver. They arrived at the port promptly each morning and were totaly flexible, ammending our tour on the day we had torrential rain. I would definetly recomend Roadtoburma, and would use there services again if we go back for another visit.

          Golden treat
We had a tour with Mr Jack and Mr Sue for two days visiting Golden Rock and Bago. Mr Jack has great knowledge about all places visit and gave a very good insight into Buddah and the people of Myanmar. If you are thinking about visiting Golden Rpck then choose this operator as its a really oustanding service.

Yangon & Bagan 5 days tour
We had a great trip to Yangon and Bagan thanks to the RoadtoBurma Team. Prior to our arrival in Myanmar, Andrew from RoadtoBurma was very responsive in replying to our enquiries and provided revised itineraries which were tailored to our pace and preferences. We arrived at Yangon in the evening and the driver Mr. Khin Saw arrived on time to pick us up at the airport for the transfer to the hotel. Our first full day in Yangon comprised of touring the city by boarding the circular train followed by trisaw which was an interesting experience. Our tour guide Mr. Linn was very friendly and enthusiastic in bringing us around different spots in the city including the Reclining Buddha and the famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Mr. Linn also brought us to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch and treated us at a tea house which showcased the locals’ daily lives. Our three days in Bagan was equally enjoyable. Our tour guide Mr. Aung Thu Moe was very knowledgeable about the 10+ temples and pagodas which we visited in Bagan and the Mount Popa area. On top of that, Mr. Aung was a wonderful photographer who helped us take photo after photo (including taking the initiative to take wide angle and portrait shots!). He also brought us around to local food markets, tea houses, a Lacquer workshop and a jetty to cruise the river during sunset which added variety to our itinerary. Our driver in Bagan was also courteous and helpful with cold water and wet towels ready after the temple visits. Our flight back to Yangon was smooth and our second driver was also on time in transferring us back to the hotel. Our last half day in Yangon with Mr. Linn and the driver was also a relaxing time visiting the British colonial style buildings and the Aung San Market. My one piece of advice is to bring along a pair of flip flops especially in the Bagan area as visitors are required to walk barefoot in the temple areas during your consecutive visits to various temples within hours. You may also wish to take note of the dress code for temple visits and other important information which is helpfully compiled by RoadtoBurma in their emails. All in all, my experience with RoadtoBurma was enjoyable and I would highly recommend RoadtoBurma as your host to the beautiful country.

          Lovely & Amazing Myanmar Trip
We are couple from Turkey and we have never been to Myanmar. This is our first visit to Myanmar and we have a lot of options before we make the tours with Roadtoburma. Although we found many tour operators in Myanmar before we decided to go there, we just confirmed with Roadtoburma Travel for less expensive 10 Days trip. We love this generous and warm hearted Myanmar People, and also we do appreciate with their services all of our stays in Myanmar. The Tour Guide Lynn was very professional and organized the best trip for our memorable days along the trip. Thank you so much Lynn and Andrew from Roadtoburma Travel, they served immediately with their best arrangements whenever we requested to skip some raining places. Everything was smooth and strongly recommend to Roadtoburma Travel.

Our unforgettable travel experience during 'green season'
We are a group of 3 women that loves travelling. Our trip to Myanmar lasted 16 days. We carefully planned it with the help of Andrew for months before going. Andrew was always extremely helpful, always answered our e-mails right away, always solved any questions we had and strove to improve our own ideas for the trip even more. With his help we made our dreamy itinerary to Myanmar. We traveled with a Toyota super custom van. We started our traveling experience with a full day Yangon city tour and next we visited Bago,Taungoo, Kalaw, Pindaya, Inle Lake, Pyin Oo Lwin, Hsipaw, Mandalay, Mingun, Amarapura, Sagaing, Ava and Bagan. It was truly a magical experience. Our driver Mr. Khin Zaw, was always willing to assist us and was very discreet. He also seemed vary capable of handling any difficulties on the road. The last day of our trip i chose to return by plane to Yangon, Andrew willing to help, like always, booked me tickets and made arrangements for me to be picked up at the airport by the very helpful and kind driver Mr. Zaw. Together with Mr. Zaw we visited the National Races Village. All 3 of us feel ecstatic with our visit to the Magical Myanmar. We loved the friendly and always smiling people. A part of our soul will always remain to this mystical country. We always felt happy and safe traveling with Roadtoburma! We strongly recommend it!

Travel with KzoMyanmar CarTour in Yangon and Bago
I have a short trip to Myanmar for only 3 days. My friend suggested that a very convenient trip is renting a car for traveling. Our group has 7 people plan a trip in Yangon and Bago. We have used the service of KzoMyanmar CarTour, which is convenient to travel throughout 3 days and Mr. Kzo is polite and drives safely. With a friendly service.

Great experience in Yangon and Bago!
We can only say "Je zu tin ba deh! (Thank you)" to RoadtoBurma and lovely their staffs. June 2019, we booked a private tour in for 7 people. We got in contact with Andrew from RoadtoBurma. After days of emailing back and forth, Andrew kindly and patiently arranged and scheduled 1 day trip in Bago from Yangon and 2 days trip in Yangon. We were picked up by Mr Jack (tour guide) and Mr Khin Zaw Oo (driver) in the airport with a very comfortable and air conditioned car that can seat up to 14 people to begin our adventure. Both were very friendly, knowledgable at their respective jobs and are great at taking pictures. We can also ask anything to Mr Jack and he will patiently explain, from the daily lives of the monks, history of Myanmar and Lady Aung San Suu Kyi. Meanwhile, Mr Khin Zaw Oo always ensure that the car is clean when we get on board after visiting pagodas etc. They also prepare wet tissues to clean our feet with after visiting pagodas barefoot. Another great thing about this tour is the flexibility. During our first day in Yangon, the sky is raining. So Mr Jack switched our 1st and 2nd day schedule to make sure that we can take great pictures when in outdoor spots. We can also add new point of interest to our schedule and ask to be dropped at different locations after the tour is finished. All in all, we had great trip (got great pictures) in Yangon, Myanmar with RoadtoBurma. 5/5, will definitely recommend you to book with RoadtoBurma when visiting Myanmar!

Journey with Mr. Soe: Amazing driver and great tour
We did a 5-day trip with Mr. Soe as our driver. He was very knowledgeable and kind. He really wanted to make the best of our journey and it showed. We did Bagan - Hpa an - Malawmyine - Golden Rock - Bago. We modified the itinerary to our liking and Mr. Soe adapted to our wishes. Communication with him were easy. He speaks a good English which is a good thing. We are very grateful we had the chance to meet him and to have him as our driver.

          11 days Mandalay - Naypytiaw - Inle Lake - Yangon - Bago - Kyaitiyo
This was a holiday we have long been waiting for, a 11 day trip to Myanmar from Mandalay in the north to the Golden Rock in the South! But because we were unsure of the journey and none of us could speak Myanmar, we reached out to Jones whom we had the luck of getting acquainted on one of my earlier trip here in Myanmar. Jones discussed our itinerary over email and Facebook Messenger and he did his best to accommodate our ambitious itinerary to see as much as we can from this trip. He helped secured a safe driver and booked our accommodations with the budget we gave him. At no point was Jones impatient when we wanted to add extra destinations to our trip. He explained the constraints of time and worked tirelessly at customizing a dream tour of Myanmar. When we flew into Myanmar, we were immediately taken care of: from Jones being there waiting for us at the Arrival Hall to ensuring our luggages were taken care of and that our meals were all arranged before hand. Jones is generous with his vast knowledge of the cultural and historical background of Myanmar, he peppers this with jokes and we were never bored learning! Using his own initiative, he also brought us to local spinning cottage industries, coconut todi industry, introduced us to truly local fares and even shared with us basic conversational Myanmar.

Our day in Yangon was made by booking a day tour with our guide Linn, not only was Linn resourceful in knowledge he was also such a fun person to spend the day with, we felt like we were out with a friend as opposed to someone doing a job. As a well seasoned traveller it’s rare for me to seek out tour guides but for Yangon I am glad I did - this is a culture rich destination and it would be a loss to not have a local providing you with insight along the way. This is a well worth tour - I requested Linn to be our guide having read previous positive reviews from other travellers, he did not disappoint!

Three days with Linn: promises made and promises kept, with more delivered than promised! To be honest, we weren't very hopeful, since we arrived on a cruise ship to a port considerably south of the city. The traffic was horrendous, and we were moving. Linn used the time to acquaint us with what were going to see, as well as telling us about the places that we were going to visit. While we all thought "yeah, sure; not possible to see everything. Linn delivered everything plus more during our time with him. Our entire group was very pleased, and only sorry that our time with him was going to end.

Picked up by driver Kemso and our guide So. So is 26 and very proficient in English. She is educated and was a bar tender. Wants to work on cruise ship. Very nice young
lady. Both work for Roadtoburma Travel Co., Ltd. We signed up for this tour on-line. We visited the Shwedagon Pagoda, the Reclining Buddha, took a trishaw ride, rode the loop train, visited Sula Temple and the park and ended the day with a visit to a local mall. We enjoyed lunch at Padonmar Restaurant and So gave us several tips on places for dinner (they were all excellent). Very professional organization. We would highly recommend their tour.

We had a terrific day yesterday with our guide Linn and driver as we visited many spots in Yangon. Everything went well: on time arrival, clean and air conditioned car, making changes to itinerary as requested. Linn was extremely knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information with us as we walked, drove and took a tri shaw ride. We even learned some great tips for taking better photos with our phones! Thanks Linn for a great day!

I like to travel semi-independently hiring guides from place to place. I was given Linn's contacts by another traveller and in the end to count on him was a great decision. We spent a day around Yangon with many nice spots. Linn took care of us throughout and was very informative and entertaining.
Normally, as you can see from my TA activity, I don't leave reviews for guides but he truly deserved to be mentioned.

We did this tour while in Yangon on Azamera Quest Nov 18 and 19. We were met at the port gate by our driver and guide for the drive into Yangon which is about 90 minutes. The van is air conditioned tho you may have to ask to have it turned up. We saw everything we wanted including some extra requests not on the itinerary (like a stop at a liquor store for extremely good price for scotch, money changing and a small fishing boat ride). It seems better to change money rather than pay in $US. We had lunch at a spectacular big Burmese boat restaurant where the food was good and surprisingly cheap - $US 36 for 6 people including lots of beer. We walked around the center of town in short bursts with cooling off periods in shops, a hotel and in the van which was very spacious. The trip included lots of interesting stops but no apparent “shopping opportunities”.
Our guide was cheerful, well informed and considerate.
The traffic and roads between the industrial cruise port and Yangon were terrible due to construction but the driver was good and we felt safe.
I would definitely use this tour company again.

Our tour guide Lynn is simply the best. Friendly & knowledgeable, not only did he show us around the major attractions, he gave us an overview of the every day life of the Burmese. The tour is also very flexible we get to tailor-made our stops. Highly recommended for first time visitors. A great cultural experience.

Lin was our guide for our full day tour of Yangon. He was accompanied by a great driver. Lin was informative providing background information and pertinent details to the places we visited, and was very accommodating to adjust schedule to provide a break in the middle of the day. Our day was capped off by an evening visit to Schwedagon Temple!

First of all, book directly with RoadtoBurma. We paid 2.5 times the price booking via Tripadvisor. It's a rip off...truly. They provide water, but all else is on you - with tips (we were asked to tip the rickshaw/bike drivers) and lunch add on another $10-14. So for $200 we had a full day tour in a 3rd world country. That price is outrageous but we had no choice with only one day in Yangon and not knowing who to book with "on the ground". I was irritated when asked to pay some tips, but Linn did not know we paid $200 until we explained. He agreed that price is outrageous. I still think that a tour company should not nickel and dime; I always prefer that a lunch is included and snacks and tips. I want to pay one price and be done. This was not the case which is not RoadToBurma's fault although I think they should change their rules to cover the cost of these items and make it a "pay one price" deal.

We arrived late at night and the tour was the next morning. No confirmation or response from tour company which is disappointing. We had to wake up early and call them to find out the time to meet. This needs to change if they want to improve their services. They were on time in the morning and Linn was very professional all day. His knowledge was great and he catered to our interests in where we went and what he pointed out. The other thing they need to do is tell us what's happening in advance. We got out of the van at 8:30 am and my husband left his hat (accidentally) because we thought we were just walking through the park and that's it. It turned out we were going on a 3 hour, on foot, walking tour and his hat was essential in the heat and with the sun. There was no advance warning for what was to come and how to equip. We did not even have enough water with us. Linn needs to give his clients a breakdown of what's going to happen. The pace was great and we saw interesting things. We went from the walking tour to the ferry across to Dalla. The bike tour in Dalla was fabulous. The only bad thing was that my hips were a little too wide to fit in the seat. They did their best to pile up some pillows but it was not comfortable for much of the ride. This would be good to recognize in advance. From there were off to the circular train - another great experience and then to lunch, which was great- a local place and Linn did a great job suggesting food to eat. We were late so the choices were slim, but the people were great there. After lunch we returned to the hotel for a break as it was too hot to go to the Shwedegon. We were picked up in late afternoon to see the reclined buddha and the pagoda. Both were great stops. After, we were returned to the hotel. It's a great tour that gives a good sense of the city. My only suggestions are the price/booking directly and providing food/tips in the price of the trip and giving advance warning as to what's going to happen next.

Me and a friend did the one day tour with RoadtoBurma, in Yangon, Burma, in July 2018. Great one day. I think the trip is designed for the more typical tourist that wants to see city and more rural life, but yet all within the city of Yangon. But it was worth it. Linn was the guide, Kinzo was the driver. Both reliable and honest. Linn speaks great English, and was kind, open minded and helpful. Linn has traveled outside of Burma, and so he is fairly sophisticated. I'd suggest you ask him or the guide for the plan for the day, and decide what you want to do, or not want to do. But we enjoyed the tour. Scott Market was closed when we did our tour (Monday), but it was well worth it the next day on our own. The country is lovely, the people are kind. Being run by a military junta has some advantages I suppose, like order, civility, etc. Contrast that to India, the world's largest democracy, which is a cacophony of sights sounds and smells... I really liked Burma and would go back and see the rest of the country. The tour was great and I'd use them again.
