      Yangon Half Day Walking Tour
Mr. Htike was a highly knowledgeable guide providing a well planned tour of Yangon's historical area. Starting with excellent coverage of The Secretariat, we then proceeded into the city, covering a local market, amazing historical buildings, the river ferry terminal, parks, a famous pagoda, churches, city hall and finishing at an incredible market. This included a stop at a small local cafe for coffee. Yangon was a most interesting trek with good pedestrian access throughout. The tour is a good way to introduce yourself to the city if you are a new visitor. I really enjoyed the ramble and Mr. Htike was a very professional informative guide.

      Feel like a local
A great way to see the city and feel the day to day life of the local people. Htike was a great guide, patient and understanding. He was very detailed on his explanations and eager to fullfill all our demands. A trip not to be missed.

Great way to learn more about yangon
This is a great way to learn more about Yangon. Be sure to wear good shoes, a hat and sunblock. Lots of sites to see as noted on the itinerary and lots of walking, even on the half day tour. We stopped for tea and snacks when we were tired and learned about the local tea house. We mailed postcards to our family at the post office. Our guide, Htike, was very informative, very nice and patient and somewhat catered the tour to us. We three wanted to purchase longyis and he guided us with the sale and sewing. I can highly recommend this tour.

As I had half-day free time before my flight in the afternoon, I booked this tour. And Karen didn't disappoint me. If you want to look into people's life in Yangon and learn about how Yangon developed in recent years, this is the tour to experience. I would highly recommend it.

Excellent half day tour and superb guide!
Booking process on Viator was smooth and the tour company emailed to confirm the tour guide with her mobile contact. On the day of the tour, our guide Karen WhatsApped me 10 minutes before tour to inform that she arrived with driver. Karen is a really fantastic guide and speaks fluent English! She is friendly, knowledgeable and took good care of us. She made sure we have shade from the hot sun (she provided foldable hats), provided wet towels to clean our feet and knew the best places to take photos! The half day itinerary was good and we visited the awe-inspiring Shwedagon Pagoda, saw the impressive reclining Buddha, learnt history about colonial-era buildings, and ended at the famous souvenir market, Bogyoke Aung San Market. The whole tour took around 5 hours. For the tea break (scheduled after the visit to the reclining Buddha), we were offered the chance to go for coffee or local tea house. I would definitely suggest to go for the local tea house for a truly local experience! The local milk tea is yummy and taste like bubble tea. The tea house also serves dim sum style dishes, and also items like dumpling and local chicken/noodle salad. These are all included as part of the tour price.

      Full day around Bagan
The tour is very informative. Our tour guide Mr. Zaw or we call him “Win”, really knows from the heart the history of each temple and pagoda that we visited. He also takes care of us and ask if there’s anything that we need during our tour. We highly recommend this tour package and Mr. Zaw as a tour guide. Thank you for the great day in Bagan.

Great way to see Yangon with an amazing guide
This is our first trip to Myanmar and so we wanted to start with a half day walking tour to learn history, see local sights and experience things that we would not have done by ourselves. This was the perfect tour for this and our guide Karen was simply the best. She had great knowledge, local insight and was full of stories and history that ensured this was a tour we would not forget.

      Wonderful weekend walk about
This walking tour of downtown Yangon was lovely. Over 4 hours my guide, Karen, imparted an incredible amount of historical and cultural information about Yangon. We visited the main sites listed in the tour description and also walked some lesser known streets in the Indian/Chinese neighborhoods. Overall, a great introduction to the city. I highly recommend this tour!

      Great arvo
Had a great walking tour with Karen in Yangon. Got to see locals doing what locals do. She was so great as I was running hideously late and she waited with no issue and even walking me home. Highly recommended to get your bearings.

We'd booked a trip on a night before the tour so we were afraid the operator might not able to get it, but they did! very responsive and professional arrangement was made just beforehand. On the exploring day, we were greeted by Karen, a Myanmese local guide who brought us around town with a list of typical attractions that not so surprise but she did a great job with her knowledge with every detail we passed by from the temples to major residences.

    Great job and highly recommended!

It was our first day in Myanmar, after very long flights, so we didn't start till 10am, but Karen arrived early and sat with us till we had finished breakfast and were ready to launch forth. Her English is very good, as is her knowledge of her city and country and answered all the questions we threw at her. She managed where she took us according to the time of day, with a judicious meal and toilet break in the middle. She chose a good variety of things to show us, including being inside a covered market through the hottest part of the day. Our favourites were the partially restored Secretariat building which is quite magnificent and I would love to go back when the whole complex is restored. And, of course, the Shwedagon Pagoda, which she cleverly planned to get us to just as dusk was approaching - a truly magical time to see it. Well done, and thank you Karen.

Marks of 11 out of 10 for Karen, our brilliant tour guide. She picked us up from our hotel @ 10.00 am and kept us entertained & educated in equal measure for 11 straight hours. She knew exactly where to take us & at what time.
She was so knowledgeable about the city that she loved and was very candid about what it it is like to live in Myanmar right now. Having a personal tour is so important in getting to really know a new city and Karen was the real star of the show.

Karen and our driver were great. They showed us all around the city, and a couple of places that were on the agenda that we had already seen were swapped out for alternate destinations with no difficulty (even though I am sure it messed up their planned schedule)

The knowledge of the sites and her expert photo taking both added a huge amount to what was already a great trip.

    Highly recommended.

Well I won't lie... there was a hiccup with the booking and it took over an hour to get it sorted and arrange pickup from the hotel... however any concerns were alleviated when Swan arrived. He's a great fun tour guide who has a wealth of knowledge of the history of Yangon and would calmly answer all of the many questions I shot his way. We went to temples, markets and he even threw in some complimentary street food and Myanmar tea to make up for the morning mix up. He is also very popular with people at the various sites we visited and people would enthusiastically greet him. I would highly recommend taking a Yangon tour with Swan.

We had a great day!! Karen our guide was brilliant she knew what ever you asked and went as quickly or took time with you in points you were more interested in, nothing was too much trouble for her. We asked her to drop us off at a roof top bar so we could see the pagoda lit up in the evening and she called round her friends to get the best recommendations! Would recommend!
