About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- EPKatonah0 contributionsFantastic experience! We were a large group of seven and couldn’t have enjoyed our time enough! Dinara made three items with us which we chose, and then she provided a delicious salad as well. She was an incredibly comfortable teacher, and had wonderful stories to share about Georgia as well. Everyone left full and happy. A perfect afternoon!Written 30 December 2022
- Manolo362150 contributionsEXCITING AND DELICIOUS COOKING CLASSFor us, it was really a pleasure and exciting to do this class with Dinara in Tbilisi. We had nice and funny conversations, so we felt very welcomed at her nice home. In the beginning we could taste some awesome georgian cheese with really good dry red saperavi wine. We made some Kinkhali, Salad und Chakhokhbili. She told us a lot of her cooking secrets and the taste was amazing. We definitely can recommend this to everbody, who loves delicious and authentic kitchens.Written 4 October 2022
- Vytautas A0 contributionsHighly recommendedTina met us at Desertiz Bazar in the morning, we had a 30min walk around the market and selected everything we needed. One of us did not eat meat, one ate everything, and one was a child - Tina attended to all of our needs, and we chose only the products that would meet our need, which is super cool. Then we drove to Tinas place, and started cooking. About 10 different meals, which was way more than enough :) Then our son got sleepy, so Tina aranged a bed for him to sleep in, and he slept there for more than an hour :) We finished eating around noon, and we really enjoyed the whole experience.Written 31 July 2022
- Soso110 contributionsFantastic hospitalityWe first took a trip to the market, which is an experience in itself. You will cook and talk and learn a lot about culture and history, basically anything you would like to know about Georgia. Be prepared to spend more time than planned (should you want to) 😊Written 4 February 2022
- Nomad201495877370 contributionsWonderful experienceDinara was wonderful since the moment we booked the experience. We were welcomed with wine and delicious homemade chips; we always felt comfy and at home. We chose to learn how to make khinkali and she was super patient the whole time. Dinara guides you every step of the way and explains to you why things are made the way they are made. I also have to mention she’s very knowledgeable about Georgian culture and will share it with you. Everything we made was delicious, and she even gave us some Georgian candy/dessert and a bottle of wine for us to take home. And her dogs are adorable! So playful and cute, they made the experience even better. I will remember this experience with much love!Written 29 December 2021
- sully083540 contributionsFun and informative experience with a knowledgable, welcoming, and friendly hostDinara's class was relaxed, fun, and very interesting. We decided to learn how to make khinkali instead of khachapuri, and thanks to Dinara's patience and teaching skills, we were able to make beautiful and tasty khinkali! We also learned how to make several other Georgian dishes and learned a lot about Georgian food, history, and culture. Easily my favorite part of my trip to Tbilisi, only wish I had time to take more of her classes! Highly recommended!Written 29 December 2021
- arnoldemilyj0 contributionsFun Georgian Cooking Experience!Dinara was wonderfully welcoming! My husband and I had a wonderful time learning to make traditional Georgian cuisine (we asked to make Khinkali and Ostri). Dinara walked us through the cooking process and was so open about Tbilisi and Georgian culture. Our food turned out delicious and it was such such great wat to spend the evening!Written 16 August 2021
- NastassjaT70 contributionsIntroduction to Georgian hospitalityOn my first day in Tbilisi, I had an amazing cooking experience and introduction to Georgian cuisine. The food was prepared with love and there was plenty of food. I enjoyed spending time with Teona and her siblings in their beautiful charming kitchen. I highly recommend this experience ☺️Written 21 October 2019
- Joan J0 contributionsA great cultural eveningWe spent a lovely evening learning how a typical Georgian family lives.. Teo, a recent med school grad, welcomed us into her home where we met her mom and several younger brothers and sisters. We accompanied her to her local market where she selected cheese and vegetables/fruit for our dinner and appetizers. We also stopped to pick up some warm baked bread. We helped her assemble a lovely dinner after we feasted on her father’s homemade wine and honey along with several cheeses and bread. Then we helped her make salad, eggplant, chicken in tomato and vegetable sauce and cornmeal porridge (like polenta) and cornmeal and cheese fried balls. The best thing was talking with her and her mom about their culture and our culture and getting to know them on a personal basis.Written 19 October 2019
- sage_and_inga0 contributionsDelightful evening, delicious food!We had such a lovely time with Nino and Lia! After a week of eating out, it was great to learn details about the food we had been enjoying, and to gain some insight into how it is prepared. The meal we had was vegetarian (by request), and everything was fresh and seasonal, including green beans from Lia's garden. We got to try our hands at both corn bread and khachapuri, and we are excited to hone our skills back home – though we will miss the expert guidance of our hosts. Nino and Lia were very open and we felt immediately comfortable with them. It was fun to be in their home, and fascinating to be able to talk to them about Georgia and Georgian cuisine.Written 5 October 2019

- pixleyo0 contributionsGeorgian cuisine.Tina, (Teo's mom) was very welcoming and showed me around the different food markets explaining, in detail, what to look for in certain ingredients. At home, Tina, went above and beyond. She encouraged me to cook alongside her. I hope to come back soon.Written 3 August 2019
- acdallagnol0 contributionsFun, useful and unforgettable experienceMy fiancée and I really wanted to learn how to make the georgian stuffed eggplant, therefore we decided to look for a cooking lesson in Tbilisi where we could learn how to make them! Teo did not only teach us how to make what we wanted, but she also prepared some extra dishes that were amazing! Her boyfriend brought his family’s wine and it was a perfect meal. I would highly recommend this experience! Unfortunately Teo’s mom could not be there, but we still had fun and learned a bit about Georgian food and traditions 😁Written 11 July 2019
- SusanneaG0 contributionsGreat afternoon with Shota and his familyWhen Shota picked us up for the market tour it felt from the very first moment as if we had known him before, it was like visiting friends. We went to a huge market where we did the shopping for our recipes and it was a great place to smell, taste and look. After the market tour we went to the family's home where we had a warm welcome and again it felt like visiting friends. They all speak very good English (Shota also speaks German) and so communication was easy and we learned a lot about the country and the capital Tbilisi. We spent a wonderful afternoon cooking an old family recipe - chicken with walnut sauce. It was fascinating to see how the walnut-mixture changed and finally we had a delicious sauce and homemade walnut oil. Later we enjoyed the delicious meal with the family and afterwards a good cup of coffee on the stylish balcony. We enjoyed this day very much and would highly recommend cooking and touring the market with Shota.Written 5 July 2019

We had a great night at Teo's house. She welcomed us into her home, showed us around and explained what we were going to prepare. Sho offered us wine, chacha and cheeses and explained everything she did whilst coocking. My mom and I also participated coocking.
A friend of Teo came along and in the kitchen we spoke about all kinds of things. Teo and her friend are good company as they speak English very well and know everything about nowaday Georgia and its cuisine.
We had a great diner and learned a lot about Georgian coocking and life.
Thanks Teo.

My friend and I enjoyed an amazing afternoon and evening with Teo. We visited the local market, where she explained the differences between the local cheeses, fresh herbs and sweets.
Back at her family home, Teo made us feel very welcome. We enjoyed cheeses and homemade wine while we helped her cook several traditional Georgian dishes. Teo was a lovely host and explained everything in great detail.
Would absolutely recommend!

My partner Cam and I had a truly delightful evening cooking, talking, and eating with Teo and her mother Tina. It was a highlight of our whole trip, both in and outside Georgia, to be invited to the home of such a welcoming, interesting family, and to learn to cook delicious traditional cuisine with the freshest ingredients. We’ve taken the Ajapsandali recipe Teo kindly wrote out for us and cooked it in London, now West Africa (I cook it weekly here!), and certainly home to Australia in the new year. Can’t thank Teo and Tina enough for their hospitality and warmth. With the best of wishes, Georgia and Cam
