Castles & Vineyards in amazing Khaketi
We spent a wonderful, "grand" day with Friendly.ge in Khaketi region. Khatuna, who speaks English very well and boosts a natural enthusiasm, swiftly guided us through castles & vineyards added by various religious artifacts. Khaketi is the best wine region in Georgia, with a rich variety of grapes and we had wine tastings in a wine cellar, in an industrial wine company and at a local winery located in someone's home. Each time valuable and clear information, each time amazing taste. Needless to say food pairing with Georgian wine will now entertain all our guests.

      Great guide, lovely tour!
The rumors are true-Oksana really is an amazing guide! I had taken a morning tour with a different company for Tbilisi and wasn’t impressed. It was quite disappointing. I took a late afternoon tour with Oksana and it was a different experience overall even though many of the stops and highlights were similar. She made the tour amazing and worth the time and changed my view of Tbilisi overall. So big thanks to her. This is a lovely tour for your first day when you want to understand the city and its highlights. Highly recommended!!

Must do if you like hiking and the outdoors!
I enjoyed the tour with Jonah.. especially the hike, Jonah really pushed us to face our fears and keep moving, but still making sure all of us are safe. He notices the smallest amazing things like insects or stones or tortoises by the side of the road. Not something we would have seen if we just walked by ourself ! The overall planning of the route and interesting itinerary was not the same as other tour companies. Really enjoyed myself and the day out in the Delica. Thanks for a memorable tour.

      Outstanding taster of Tusheti
I am a solo female traveler and booked to visit Tusheti the first week this tour was available after the infamous road opened. I found the particular highlights of this trip to be the small group size, which allowed for a lot of flexibility, and personability and skill of both our guide, Koba, and driver, Achi. Given the reputation of the road to reach Tusheti and the roads between villages, I always felt safe with Achi at the wheel. Koba is an experienced guide and very skilled at accommodating the various wants and needs of a group. I enjoyed my time immensely, with both them and the other travelers on my trip (two other solo travelers). The only thing I would change is to add an extra day for more time to explore! The Tushetian way of life if changing quickly; see it while you can.

      Fantastic Day Trip from Tbilisi
A brilliant (long) day trip from Tbilisi. The tour takes you to Stepantsminda, almost on the Russian border. En route you stop off at the Zhinvali Reservoir and the enchanting Ananuri fortress. But the highlight of the trip for us was a drive off-road up the Truso valley where we were able to do short hike in the stunning mountain-ringed valley. Some beautiful wild flowers - gentians and orchids amongst others. Plus some fascinating sulphur ponds and mineral-streaked rocks. Our guide Johan had perfect English and brought to life the sometimes turbulent history of the area along with insights into modern Georgia. My two sons (15 & 22) enjoyed the day as much as I did so it was a good family choice of outing. Note: the drive up the valley is seriously off-road - a real bone-shaker and you need a reasonable level of fitness for the walk.

      a well designed experience!
what a fulfilling experience! this tour enabled me and my partner to visit places in Tbilisi otherwise we could not be able to by ourselves. the tour so well balanced in terms of sightseeing and actually feeling the brutalist sense of the city. our guide was quite knowledgable and ethusiastic about the areas and he also provided us with really important historical backgrounds, which helped us draw a fuller picture. thanks for this amazing opportunity, we had the chance to connect with Tbilisi and Georgia in a deeper way

Amazing tour, with the best guide
This was an amazing tour. We strongly recommend it. This is the best way to discover unique parts of Tbilisi and do things off the beaten track. Even if you have one day in the city, try to do this tour. It will help you grasp a big part of the city's and the coutry's past and present. Most importantly, Aleksi was an amazing tour guide. He was entusiastic, he gave us the right amount of information, he was there to answer all our questions, he gave us the necessary time to take photos. It was like we were having a tour with a friend, rather than a tour guide.

      Amazing, well guided trip
The trip was outstanding, not the usual touristic stuff, very individually designed. Koba, the guide, was very nice, knowledgable and happy to share. The trip was well planned and we enjoyed every minute. Warmly recommended!

Historic Gems of Mtshketa in Half a Day
We have the most amazing day trip to Mtskheta with our tour guide, Khatuna from Friendly GE. She picked us up from our Tbilisi hotel on time and took us around the Chronicles of Georgia monument, Jvari Monastery, and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. We also wanted to see the Shio-Mgvime monastery, and the team at Friendly added it to our itinerary without any extra cost in a display of Georgian hospitality. Khatuna was extremely knowledgeable about all 4 historic sites and gave us rich insights into the culture and traditions of the area. She also took us to secret spots from where we could get some cool photos without the crowds. Khatuna shared many interesting snippets and facts from the daily life and activities of Georgians.

      Best Old Tbilisi Walking Tour
We had an amazing walking tour of Tbilisi with our very knowledgeable guide, Oksana from Friendly.ge. It was the best way to kick-start our Georgia trip. Since we were spending a few days in Tbilisi, we decided to take this walking tour for a local’s insights into the old town of Tbilisi and were not disappointed at all. Oksana was a treasure trove of knowledge, and we learned a lot from her about Old Tbilisi and the history and culture of Georgia. I highly recommend this tour for first-timers in Georgia.

The Best Way to See Mtskheta
Our tour was great. My son (19) and I learned a lot about the sites but also about Georgian history, culture, and perspectives from our guide. This was my first time hiring a private tour guide, and I found it very valuable and would do it again. Our guide was both knowledgeable and personable, and it meant a lot to my son that she went above and beyond to show him an additional place near Tbilisi that he had an interest in based on his research. Highly recommend!

      Gor for it! Now!
What to say about Koba (guide) and Baha (driver) and the amazing off road landscape???? It was the best day trip I ever had! Koba is a gentleman, taking care about everyone! Very polite and kind! With a lot of experience in the region! And an amazing artist! Baha is a very skilled driver! Very patient and with our “google translator communication” we spend sometime together, since I skipped the hiking part of the journey! The visited spots were amazing! Very unique experience that I strongly recommend for everyone! Thank you sooo much Koba, Baha and friendly.ge team!

Very good - highly informative and considerate.
Really excellent tour with Alex. Highly recommended. 4h with pickup, a driver and a comfort break. Covered Chronicles of GE, SkyBridge, Ministry of Highway, State University Dormitories, Saint Nino and former Archaeology Museum. Very informative, gave wider context of Tbilisi history. Takes you to places you’d never dream of going solo.

Informative, interesting tour with friendly, knowledgeable local guide
We loved our day trip with Khatuna! She picked us up at our hotel and drove us around in her car with water bottles provided. She was a great conversationalist and provided interesting information about Georgian culture and history as well as the sites. It was quite hot on the day we went, and she took this into consideration and was very responsive when we wanted to sit down for a bit and get ice cream. On the way back to Tbilisi, she suggested a great restaurant to us for lunch and dropped us off there.

      Truso valley is a must
Highly recommended trip over other Kazbegi tours. First this is small group and we got to travel just three of us, so felt like private tour. Also this tour includes Truso valley, which was highlight of all tour, orher stops were just ok and very touristy, especially Gergeti trinity church, for which i had highest expectations.

I decided to take this tour becaus I was nearing the end of my trip and had no good pictures to show for it.

I actually booked the full day tour but believe that the 4hr option would have been better. Tbilisi (especially Old Tbilisi) is just not big enough to justify the time/cost. So unless you’re doing this with a big group and will require the extra time, adjust accordingly.

All the previous reviews mentioned they were with Alex but he was on a different tour and I had a wonderful woman showing me around instead.

Below are the highlights/disclaimers from the tour:

    Disclaimer/con:
    - there’s only one. Do not go into this tour thinking you’ll be on a 4+ hr photo shoot with a professional photographer. You will still see beautiful places and you will leave with beautiful photos but this is something that should be kept in mind.

    Highlights/pros:
    - Visiting some super beautiful places, as well as some that are off the beaten path.
    - learning more about the city and getting some context on where you are and what you’re seeing/photographing.
    - a very willing and enthusiastic photographer. We took no less than 1 thousand photos. Not all of them were winners but there will be a lot to choose from and you’ll definitely walk away with some gems.

A pleasant surprise was also that I did get picked up and dropped off at my residence even though I thought that wasn’t included.

    Great experience
