Mtskheta tours are special for those who are really interested in ancient history of Georgia. Visit Jvari Monastery, enjoy the view of confluence of Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers. Then visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral - currently the second largest church in Georgia after the Holy Trinity Cathedral. It is a sacred place where the robe of Christ is being kept. Samtavro St. Nino’s Monastery is also located in Mtskheta. The first Christian royal figures - King Mirian and Queen Nana are buried here. The pilgrims and worshippers of the saint always visit this church. Since the beginning of 19th century it has become a convent. Shio Mgvime monastery dates back to the 6th century. Monk Shio is buried here. Later, in 11th century, a church was built over Shio's tomb. Let's discover the ancient capital of Georgia that is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as a unique city-museum.

          Transfer Tbilisi-Yerevan with tour
We booked a private transfer from Tbilisi airport to our hotel in Yerevan. The driver was waiting for us; Sergey was very friendly and, as we wanted to have breakfast, drove us to a local good bakery. He drove carefully and on the way to Yerevan we stopped at a monastery in the golden forest, at Parz Lych as well as at the Monastery of Sevanavank at Lake Sevan. It was really worth it! In the car there was bottled water. It was a good opportunity to see the north part of Armenia. We would suggest a transfer with Visitarm Travel Center!

          Comfortable Reliable Transfer
We booked a private transfer from Tbilisi to Yerevan with Visitarm Tours. It is possible to transfer by overnight train, but we wanted to see the scenery as we travelled through Georgia and Armenia, and we thought the rates for a private road transfer were reasonable when split between a number of people. On top of the basic transfer we agreed to pay a bit extra to include sightseeing stops at Haghartsin monastery, and at Lake Sevan, where we had time to buy lunch at a lakeside restaurant. The car was very comfortable, our driver was friendly, and we had a lovely day.
