I really enjoyed my cooking experience at Nana's! Nana, her friend, and her daughter made me feel at home. We cooked together 5 dishes (Eggplants with walnut paste, bell pepper with walnut paste, spinach Pkhali, mchadi, and delicious Chakhokhbili chicken stew). All dishes are prepared from sratch so you can really learn and also ask all the questions you want. And then comes the time to enjoy the meal, with lovely discussions about Georgian culture and a nice glass of wine. Highly recommanded!

The cooking class experience was perfect! It was a lovely day so I decided to walk from my hotel in Liberty Square to the Nana's Kitchen. Took 40 minutes. Bolt would've been faster and affordable and the bus would've been cheap but I knew I needed to burn some calories before the cooking class.

I'm glad I did. By the time I arrived, Mariam greeted me and showed me around the beautiful kitchen and dining room. The area was spacious, very clean, relaxed and jazz music was playing in the background. She introduced me to Nana who was shy with her English but to me it was perfect enough to give great instructions. Mariam gave me delicious Georgian wine and Nana put me to work.

In the end, I learned how to cook eggplants with walnuts and pomegranates, red bell pepper with traditional sauce, chakhkhbili chicken stew, and khachapuri. The food was excellent and the instruction was fabulous. Both Mariam and Nana were absolutely 100% fantastic! Can't wait to make these delicious and vegetable heavy dishes for my friends and family.

We had a wonderful afternoon at Nana‘s Place with lovely Georgian people who enabled us the best cooking experience in Tbilisi.

Nana herself speaks only Georgian but that’s no problem at all as her daughters and friends of the family - who also joined the class - speak perfect English. We cooked some delicious dishes such as filled eggplants/red peppers with walnut paste, Khachapuri, Chakhokhbili and more. At the end of the class we enjoyed the freshly cooked food with Georgian red wine of the vineyards of a family‘s friend.

Strong recommendation for people who want to dive in the countrie‘s food culture and get in contact with lovely Georgien people :-)

Wow wow. Nana and her family offered us one of the most outstanding and authentic experiences you could hope to get in any travel. They were so friendly and hospitable and nanas guidance resulted in Sumptuous rich flavored dishes that surpass top restaurants. The cleanliness and music and setting and decor and vibe were memorable. I wouldnt suggest anything different. We truly felt like family. I recommend for Nanas kitchen for anyone visiting tbilisi. We will surely do this again!

Together with a friend we were looking for some Georgian cuisine classes, as we've found Georgian cuisine generally excellent and wanted to learn its secrets.

The Experience that Nana's Kitchen offers has been exactly what we were looking for.

When we arrived at the address, the street and neighborhood looked unremarkable - just normal residential area, somwehat removed from the city centre. The impression changed as soon as we entered the gate to Nana's garden and kitchen. Nana's family transformed a patch of yard and an old garage into a climatic garden, spacious kitchen and comfortable, stylish dining space.

The theme of the establishment is a tasteful mix of urban style and traditional georgian elements but also incorporates elements of day-to-day life of modern georigan folk. It is organically integrated with the tissue of the surrounding residential area of Tbilisi.

The kitchen itself is super-clean, well stocked and conveniently furnished. Think like a set of your favorite cooking show but with a traditional spin. The process of food preparation was orderly, safe, sanitary and easethetically pleasant.

The dining area is spacious, well-lit, it has a bathroom and multimedia station. It can comfortably host small or medium sized group events.

The cooking was preceded by a short multimedia presentation on Georgian cuisine. The cooking class is run by Nana, who invited us to cook with her step by step, offered instruction and supervision, but we prepared the food ourselves. Nana's family was also present, they offered supplies, assistance, good company, advice and information about Georigia and Georigain Cisine, and plenty of wine. With our consent they took pictures of us cooking which they later shared with us. They complied readily with our dietary preferences and medical needs.

We cooked more food than we could eat, and later shared a meal together. After some time the family left to sit out in the garden, giving us some private time. The food that we have cooked under Nana's supervision and by her receipes could rival dishes that we sampled in some of the best-rated restaurants in Tbilisi, and in fact in our opinion it surpassed them in taste :).

We cooked several dishes, some of them were simple and some required skill, but Nana & the family were there to help at every step of the way. Later they shared their family receipes with us.

The best part of the experience was the atmosphere of shared joy, connection and authenticity. Nana's family approached us with opennes, hospitality, generosity but also professional standards. We felt as welcomed guests.

Nana speaks georigian and russian, but understands a lot of english. Nana's family members are fluent in english and they would serve as translators when needed. Really, language was a non-issue during this experience, the communication was great.

The place is prepared to safely operate under Covid. They took our tempretature and offered disinfectants.

My friends and I were warmly welcomed into Nana's gorgeous kitchen and garden space and enjoyed a fun afternoon in the kitchen cooking with her. She accommodated our vegan dietary preferences and we cooked more food than we could possibly eat in one sitting!

Our wine glasses were never empty and enjoyed the experience making and preparing the food for ourselves (under Nana's mindful supervision of course!)

Covid safe precautions were highly respected and strictly followed, with hand washing, hand sanitizer, and mask wearing adhered to. The kitchen doors were also left open to keep the space well ventilated.

It was very yummy and fun afternoon! Highly recommend.

Together with a friend of mine, I spent most of a Saturday in Nana's kitchen together, with a crew of Nana's family members and friends, learning how to make some Georgian Classics. I learned how to make one of my favorites - spinach phkali - but also found a new favorite in the fragrant Chakhapuli.

The environment of Nana's Kitchen is relaxed, cozy, modern yet traditional. I would recommend this cooking class to anyone who wants a chill day, learning something new, in a nice and cool environment together with a modern Georgian family. Nana is great at what she does, and who better to learn Georgian cooking from, than an experienced Georgian grandmother!
