Must do for first timers in Korea
Youngmi was very friendly and pleasant, the trip was nice because we got split into a smaller group while we joined a larger group for a portion of the trip. I would definitely reccomend seeing the DMZ and no shopping helps save time!

    Loved the secret gardens
Junie was an excellent guide, and we had a fantastic time touring Changdeokgung Palace and Secret Gardens. Loved the National Folk Museum of Korea as well where we learnt about the traditional Korean life cycle.

    DMZ tour
We had Sadie as our tour guide. Sadie spoke English well and was very knowledgeable. Sadie was also very organised and made sure we stuck to the schedule without feeling rushed. Lots of free time between each stop. Unfortunately went on a rainy day and could not see anything from the observatory. Would recommend this tour if you want to know a little bit more about the divide/history between South Korea and North Korea.

The visit was ok, our guide Oliver was a very good guide, he explained good, expose the context and everything necessary to understand every place but the visit it's not worth the price. We pay like 75€ per person and we feel stupid, there was nothing that justify the price, we saw the cost of every thing that we see and the price was ridicul. Don't do this tour, take the half a day tour or try to go by your own. Really, don't do this tour. And I say again, the guide was good, the bus was good, everything was quite good but the price it's not justified at all.

We regret to hear that you have not been satisfied with our full day tour price. However, we’re providing reasonable prices based on our service 1. Most tourists join the tour because they want to visit & enjoy efficiently as much as possible even for a limited time during their stay. 2. Our half-day DMZ tour is $58.5 and full day tour is $85, and you will visit two more places, the gloster memorial & gamaksan suspension bridge. 3. We’re providing comfortable & safe transportation with an expert guide to the gloster memorial & gamaksan suspension bridge, which is more than 3 hours. And on the way to the points, our guide gives more historical background as well. 4. We run the tour whenever we have customers, even for 2 people.

We began the tour in the morning at 7:30 am, the small van driver Mr. Kim was early, started on time, and was very kind to all the guests. Then we met Brian, our guide for the morning tour who was speaking perfect English and even some words in French ;) His explanations were very precise and answered all the questions.
The duration of the stops was really good, not too long, and yet we had enough time to take pictures & videos of the North Korean city at the Observatory. The same is true for the 3rd Tunnel, which allows anyone to realize how real and recent the conflict is.

Then, after going back to Imjingak Park, we met Oliver who guided us for the afternoon. Again, his English was really good. We stopped at the Gloucester Memorial where we were lucky to benefit from his anecdotes and his knowledge about the DMZ's history and the Korean War. This memorial was really the unexpected point of the day. Then the Heroes' Bridge, an amazing photo spot and landscape view of the Buddhist temple in the mountains. He always asked us if he could help with pictures or just anything at all, which was very kind of him. He also told us a story about North Korean refugees who fled to the south and advised us of some novels about refugees.

Usually not a big fan of organized tours, but this one was definitely worth it!

Be careful: bring/buy some water, the walks can be a bit steep!

We had a wonderful time on the full day DMZ tour with Mr. Young. Communication from start to finish was fantastic. Pick up was right outside our hotel near City Hall where we boarded a comfortable charter bus. Our only complaint was the bus was quite warm, the windows were fogging up. We finally figured out how to use the upper vents. Mr. Young shared interesting historical facts about the conflict between North and South Korea. You do have to stay at a holding area until your visit time is close and although there is a timetable to follow there was also some flexibility to explore on your own. You will not stop for “lunch”, but there are many opportunities to purchase snacks and souvenirs and there are many bathrooms available along the was as well.

The 3rd Tunnel is very interesting. After depositing all your belongings in a locker, no phones allowed, and grabbing a hard hat you are on your way. The walk down is not bad, but you do have to bend down to prevent hitting your head. Mr. Young advised us to leave our jackets behind because although it would be cool as you go down, you will be warm soon enough on the way back up. Caution: The walk back up is strenuous and there is not many places to stop and rest.

The observatory allows you to see into North Korea. It was fairly clear for us and with the binoculars we could see people walking. We even saw a guard in the watch tower. We felt like we were spying, but Mr. Young encouraged us to take lots of pictures. Everyone in our group was fascinated. From there we went to Gloster Hill Memorial Park and ended at the Suspension Bridge of Gamaksan.

We got a work out so be prepared to get your step count in. Book the full day, visit all the sites and make sure you have Mr. Young. You will not be disappointed. Drop off was back near City Hall and we were exhausted, but the trip is highly recommended.

This trip was an absolute life-changing experience. Our tour guide Mr. Young was a big part of this due to his experience and knowledge of the history of South and North Korea. Mr. Young was very professional, highly attentive to everyone’s needs, and respected everyone’s time. Most importantly, he explained the history and the importance of the DMZ. This is a must do tour!

We started our tour at 7am and enjoyed a brilliant tour hosted by Mr Young who is a wealth of knowledge on the DMZ and the history of the Korean War. The tour was excellently managed from prior to leaving until the end. I recommend this to anyone vaguely interested in Korean culture and history.

Mr. Young was amazing! I had a great tour. We went to the DMZ and there we saw a tunnel, dug in secret my North Korea. We also went to an observatory to look at North Korea. We say multiple memorials and topped the day off with a suspension bridge and a waterfall. All these parts were strung together by short bus trips where Mr. Young was telling interesting history, combined with good humor.

Mr Young was an amazing tour guide, he explained all the history of the Korean war and the history by the stops you'll take along the way. He is cheery and very kind so it was a pleasure to take the tour with him guiding us. Even when it started to rain he was always ready to jump out and explain the history of our locations. I would highly recommend taking the full day DMZ tour with Mr Young because even with the sad and gloomy background of the locations he makes it fun and entertaining.

This well organized tour was the highlight of our trip to Seoul. Our tour guide, Mr Young, was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the relationship between North and South Korea. I especially appreciated his anecdotal stories about historical figures and his obvious commitment to education as an avenue to help all Koreans. I highly recommend this tour!

The trip was really great, well organized and perfectly planned. Mr. Young was really awesome. He explained as everything regarding trip, border situation and intrpduced some part of history. There was enough time for sighting, taking photos, lunch, taking breath during heat....I strongly recommend this trip. Also worth to mention that Genie support with reorganizing and rebooking my trip due to some transportation problem was really fantastic.

The tours were more than we were expecting in a positive way. Sadie was with us during the first half. She was knowledgeable and funny at the appropriate times. She also was highly considerate, doing things to keep us shaded since it was warm and humid. She gave us time to explore areas on own and communicated every step of the way.

Oliver was our guide for the second half where we visited Gloucestershire Memorial Hill and the suspension bridge. He was very respectful and had a lot of knowledge of the Korean War and this memorial. He answered any questions we had and was patient and accommodating.

I highly recommend this for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of the Korean War and Korean culture. We learned a lot.

We do recommend wearing comfortable shoes, especially if you do the full day. There is a long hike uphill to get to the suspension bridge.
