The tour starts early in the morning and we choose as a pickup location Myeong-dong station exit 4. We got a message from our tour guide a day before, so no need to worrie, and also you can choose between 2 pickup locations.
Our guide was JOSH, young guy, he was really nice and funny. We traveled with a bus and it was full. Not full in a bad way because everyone had plenty of room. Our first stop was at the Seoraksan mountains for our hike.
The hike was easy, we were prepared with proper footwear and everything but you could make the hike even in sneakers and normal clothes although I do not recommend it because the hike is only downhill and the road is paved with rocks so it would challenge your feet.
The second stop was at Nami island, 6 nice island, no cars, just people on foot, dogs, bunnies and people with bicycles. We crossed the river by the ferry, it was easy, really fast at first but when we tried to come back the queue was very long, but no worries, the ferry can carry a lot of people at once so we didn't stay as much as we tought.
Our 3rd destination was The Garden of the morning calm but we couldn't stay as much because at 06:20 pm it got dark because we did the tour in 24th of october and because the ferry on the island was really busy we were a bit late to the Garden.
I gave the tour a 4 star out of 5 because it could get better. The bus was really loud and shaking when shifting the gears, the tour guide used the microphone so that everyone could hear everything that he was saying just till put 1st destination then he just talked normally and it was hard to hear from the back.
All together we loved the tour and we recommend it for everyone.

What a pleasure & privilege to have Patrick as my guide on a private day trip from Seoul; it was great to not only learn a lot about local culture & history, but also to get a bit of insight & have a wide-ranging conversation about current Korean business culture, hospitality industry trends, & even family life & cultural norms!
Because recent rain had muted the foliage at Nami (& because that destination is more easily visited on a future, return visit to Korea), we adjusted the itinerary to replace Nami with some time in Sokcho, which I had previously read was a charming seaside city. Optimized itinerary was matched by unusually clear weather for some great sightseeing. Highly recommended - thanks again, Patrick!

We had a wonderful day visiting Mt Seorak. It was a drizzly day but that didn’t deter us at all as we brought umbrellas. We took the cable car up and back and thoroughly enjoyed our walk to visit the giant Buddha and old temple area where it felt so spiritual and peaceful amongst the mountain backdrop.
Our guide Ki was fabulous, he was so friendly and happy to chat to us, and took us to a Korean lunch place, keeping in mind our dietary needs. We all felt very well looked after
Nami island was okay, I think it’s just one of those things that’s got to be experienced as it’s so popular - like a tick box. It’s basically a purpose made island with activities to do. I think after going somewhere gorgeously natural like mt seorak it’s a bit of a meh. But my 6 year old really enjoyed it so it’s always a plus on that front!
The third and final destination was the garden of morning calm - wow wow wow. We had less than an hour here as it closes at 7 - honestly I would have happily skipped nami island and spent more hours at the gorgeous garden!
However this trip offered by this company is a one of a kind trip - no other companies offer it because the destinations are so far from Seoul - and it is a very long day and really reasonably priced for this - just for how special this trip is I would rate it 5 stars. Koreatime executed this trip so well - Ki in particular has done this over 200 times so he is an absolute pro!

This tour is long, but the reasons are valid, to show you 3 beautiful spots, driven in comfort and with someone else concentrating on the road, time and itinerary.
Ki is a personable guide who genuinely wants you to enjoy the snippets of his country, and do a great job for his boss.
All stops: Mt Seorak, Nami and the amazing Garden of Morning Calm are well worth the effort.
Value is amazing.
2 suggestions: use a microphone in the bus as hard to hear and easier for you and your voice
Be less obvious about taking guests to a restaurant with which you have a relationship, as that one looked terrible, unhygienic and a trap.
Otherwise, perfect tour and highly recommended

We were able to catch the beautiful fall foliage and scenery of Mount Seorak, Nami Island, and the Garden of Morninb Calm. We were delayed due to unforseen bus issues that occurred before the tour start, so I wish we had more time. However, we were still able to see the major sites. Patrick was attentive, ensuring my parents who are older adults were comfortable. He also helped me arrange travels to and from the tour which was a little challenging with a larger group. I appreciate that he took us to the less crowded area of Mount Seorak so we could enjoy the experience. For the fall, I would recommend this experience.

Amazing trip, despite some heavy rain midday, the views from Mt Seorak were stunning (the cable car was very convenient), Nami Island was lovely although it rained heavily while there so couldn’t enjoy it as much as we would have, and ending at the gardens was beautiful.
Our guide Patrick was incredibly friendly, he made all of us feel welcome and part of the group. I was travelling solo as were three other women and he did everything possible to make us feel involved and comfortable. Having a small group was great, and Patrick was entertaining throughout the ride. At each site, he gave us his suggestions as to what we should see or what areas would be of interest, he was very clear in describing where meet up points were, and when they would be, and took extra time to look into things for us (such as whether the zip line to Nami Island was operating or not given the weather with him going to check on this while the rest of us stayed inside where it was dry and ate our lunch).
The trip does make for a very long day, but I feel it was truly worth it and thank those who were part of my group as well as Patrick for a great time!

Visiting sights outside of Seoul was fascinating. Mt. Seorak, Nami Island, and Garden was breathtaking. I would highly recommend, if anyone wants to see S. Korea’s wonderful geography.
Kee, our tour guide provided the right amount of context and humor (he’s funny) to the trip. He was also filled with great resources and accommodating to all the guests. I highly appreciated the early start time, after seeing the traffic into Mt. Seorak.
Will be visiting with the whole family soon and planning on booking the trip again.

Ki the guide was very helpful and nice and made the trip more enjoyable.
The tour is done well and it's great. The only thing is the management of lunch that I recommend to do packed. They offer you a restaurant near the port that is good but in my opinion you waste too much time so better go immediately to visit and eat something on the fly or at the bar than waste time at the restaurant

The places are beautiful. However, we arrived late in the afternoon at the calm morning garden. The visit to this point of the tour was rushed, the photos in the most beautiful part of this garden were hampered, as the staff were already covering the flowers with tarpaulin. It is important to point out that after the mountain, when we stopped at the point where you drink the water that flows naturally, our bus was leaving and leaving us behind, without having made any telephone contact with us. The company hands out cards at the beginning of the tour to identify the group, but there was more than one company group that day and the cards were absolutely identical. We were waiting next to people with the same card around their necks, when a guide informed us that we had lost our group, that our group was not that one. I asked what time it was and it was 6 minutes past the agreed time to be there. Then this other guide called our guide, who was Roy, and we were told to run downstairs to catch up with him, as the bus was already leaving. It was a serious failure, since we were foreigners, in an unknown country whose language we did not speak and in a place very far from the capital. They didn't contact us by phone, they were simply leaving and leaving us behind. Since the company works with more than one group for the same destination, it should use cards with different colors or containing the names of the guides, as other companies do, so that mistakes like this do not occur. The worst part was the bus leaving 6 minutes after the agreed time, without prior contact with us, which leads us to believe that the guide did not count the people in the group before leaving.

Amazing guide and nice view from the mountain! Our guide Ki was very friendly and recommended a good chicken bbq spot which was delicious. For me personally, I expected more from Nami Island but I still had fun there by talking to some people from the group. The garden of morning calm had some fun lights that were quite creative. It was very cold during our trip so Ki did let us sit in the warm car whenever we returned sooner than the meeting time :)

During the autumn season 26/10 only hiking is available and not cable car? Not keen on hiking but would like to visit Mt Seorak by cable car.
Written 18 September 2023
If you go to the website, it looks like they don't take advance reservations for the cable car because operation is weather dependent. The site says approximately 2 days prior they will post cable care availability. We did not do the cable car as we did not want to wait in line & we were pressed for time being in a schedule tour group. So we hiked to see the views instead. They have multiple short hikes you can not hike Mount Seorak in 1 day. It takes 13hrs. The Biseondae Rock Course is fairly easy hike as I am a novice & did just fine. You will need comfortable shoes.

Hi, We are planning to visit seoul on December 8th, will this tour be worth it during winter? or everything will be snowcapped and look the same? What do you suggest?
Written 10 November 2022
I'm not sure how much of it will be open, especially the mountain but I've been to many other mountains in Korea in the winter that are gorgeous :)
At the very least, the Nami Island and the Garden of Morning Calm would be worth it!
