    MDL Tour
I took the MDL Tour with Nancy, when the DMZ was cancelled due to African Swine Virus. Nancy is great your guide, very good information and great English skills. Would definitely recommend using VIP yours, and get education on the Korean War.

    Excellent tour guide!
Excellent tour! I didn’t want to waste time going on shopping stops. Our guide was amazing. She was so informative and I really enjoyed it. Bus driver was excellent and bus in great condition. The DMZ was closed because of swine flu, but I was informed ahead of time and had the option to cancel. They made good alternative selections. I highly recommend this tour company. They seem like really good people.

You get what you pay for
For $37, this tour gives you a really quick look at 3 spots in Seoul. So, while cost is cheap, you get what you pay for. I was disappointed with the experience. It started with a hotel pickup by a driver who couldn’t speak English and didn’t tell us where we were going. After spending 30 min picking up 2 other travelers at other hotels, we arrived to the first stop which was a nice palace where we met our guide, Nancy, and got a first understanding of where we were. Nancy was a solid guide. After the palace, which was the tour highlight, we stopped at 2 shopping districts and where we were set free to shop. So, very little history and very little sightsee of attractions. Nancy guided us to shop at some specific stores and we were done. All all all, if this was any more expensive than $37, I would rate it lower.

    Great tour
It was a great tour. Very interesting. Well organized. Moon was a great guide. She had many great stories that made us realize how emotional and painful the korean separation and the DMZ area is for the people in South Korea.

    DMZ tour with Moon
I had a wonderful and emotional experience at the DMZ. It started slow with the various pick-ups, but our tour guide, Moon, kept us informed and comfortable. It was a very informative tour and something I had looked forward to for a long time. But I must say, that our tour guide made it extra special. Not only was she informative, professional and caring, but she always went the extra mile for the tourists. She is was welcoming and friendly the whole tour. She shared her own personal experiences and opinions, which was a lovely touch to add to the tour. It made it personal and real. She spoke clearly and was always making sure everyone was around and timely. I sincerely recommend this tour. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. So thank you VIP, I will be recommending you to my friends and family.

    Great tour
We had such a great tour (Seoul tour in the morning) with Nancy. She also suggested a couple of plates to visit, a traditional performance to see. All of them were so great.

    Awesome Tour!
Initially we were meant to be on this tour on Wednesday the 2nd but because my friend felt ill, we had asked to reschedule. Long story short, we were able to reschedule for the next day. Our driver picked us up promptly. Did the best he could to get us to our meeting point due to the heavy traffic on a public holiday. We met NANCY & she was just amazing from the get go. We made our way to Changdeok Palace. We were not disappointed. Absolutely beautiful & Nancy was so informative. Every question asked, she was ready with an answer. So eager to teach us what she could. We soaked in the information, she was patient & understanding. English was perfect & we enjoyed some laughs along the way. We went to a few markets & she gave us shopping tips. She even helped wrapped the present we chose for my mum! She gave us free time for ourselves & made sure we always came back safely. Always ready to go! What amazed us is that she went above & beyond to help us get home. Our first time in Korea & very foreign to public transport (we drive a lot ourselves lol), she walked us to the subway, showed us how to get a ticket, explained in detail which platform to get on, explained what stop we needed to get off. She even drew on a map for us when to get off, the name, how many stops & the duration. She even got us to take a pic of the walking route back to our hotel. She really was amazing & would recommend to ask for her specifically. Thank tou Nancy! Your the best!!!

Alert: VIP TRAVEL Seoul will cancel your DMZ - JSA trip and leave you with lies and disappointment
Trip Advisors: Beware of the shady outfit!! We booked and secured a DMZ - JSA all day tour with VIP Travel Seoul but just one day before the tour, our trip of a lifetime to the JSA was cancelled by VIP Travel. Reason given was a LIE! We were told in an email by Sophie Choi of VIP Travel that the UN had canceled ALL tours to the JSA that day, this was a lie! We almost gave up but we asked an American friend about booking on the same day, he told us to go with US Army approved Koridoor tours. Mr Felix from Koridoor Tours boomed us on the same day to the DMZ and the JSA, the service was fantastic! We paid by card over the phone (Warning Dodgy VIP TRAVEL only want cash) and we were off on our dream trip to see the JSA. What did we see when we go to the JSA?? Lots of tours in the JSA and what about the UN stopping the tours story?? Lies, our US Army guide told us that no such order was issued for our day. The nail in the coffin.... A VIP TRAVEL bus was parked waiting to go into the JSA area right after our Koridoor tour was leaving!!! The same tour we were confirmed on! Bottom line is VIP TRAVEL are the worst kind of liars, ones who destroy your holiday dreams with zero care! A complaint about VIP Travel and their access to the UN JSA has been submitted to Mr. Ganbold Baasanjav, the Director of the United Nations ESCAP East & North East Asia Office. VIP TRAVEL SHOULD BE BANNED FROM TRAVEL SERVICE IN KOREA

Amazing tour with a deeply personal touch
I toured the DMZ with VIP and it was a wonderful and eye-opening experience. The tour takes you to the DMZ observatory where you can look into and over the DMZ, and even see the lives of the North Korean people working in the fields, and the guards posted on both sides. It can be emotional since there are still some families who are separated from their loved ones, and come to get as close as they can, although they can never speak or see them. Afterward, we went to the 3rd Tunnel of Aggression, one of a number of tunnels the North dug attempting to invade the South in the past. This tunnel is deep under the mountain and comes within 160m of the Northern side, where it was sealed off by the North after its discovery by the South. It was dug at the same time peace negotiations were under way, so it is a stark reminder of how the North threatens the South even to this day. Finally we went to a train station built by the South in an attempt to open up relations and commerce with the North. Sadly, it was hardly used before aggression by the North closed it, and it now stands unused to cross over into the North as it should be. The tour itself is amazing just for the sites you will see and the reality you will come face-to-face with. But our guide Moon was really what made the tour extra special. She freely shared her own sad personal story of her uncle who was kidnapped from her grandmother by the North, and never returned. But amazingly, due to efforts by the government in the South, many years later he was located, and they did get a chance to meet, but he was already old and grey by then. It was very poignant to realize the pain and sorrow the division has caused real people like our sweet guide. Her willingness to share of herself was generous, beyond the duty of a guide, and reflected the open kindhearted spirit of all the Korean people we met on our trip. It also made the story of the tour living and real to us in a way it otherwise could not have been. I recommend this tour highly. If you do one thing in Korea, this should be it. It will enlighten you and let you connect to history in a way that few experiences can, and is far beyond a typical tourist activity.
