      Amazing way to see seoul
If you plan to come in summer, go for the night tour. It was so comfortable. We were picked up with a bus and our guide Moon Young was amazing at giving us an overview of Korea. So interesting!

      Great Tour Guide!
I booked this tour with my son (7 years old). Our tour guide was Won who messaged me the day prior to the tour and confirmed a change in time due to some changes in tickets being distributed at the DMZ. The company also contacted me to confirm the time change which I thought was really nice. Won was very knowledgable and gave us a lot of information prior to arriving at the DMZ. His English was great, he was easy to understand, and easy to talk to which made it enjoyable. We arrived at the DMZ and he had secured a spot in line to obtain tickets when it opened. While waiting he gave us a tour and explanation of the DMZ and each of the statue/monument's meanings. We took a bus to the 3rd Invasion Tunnel and were the first ones in the tunnel! We were leaving the tunnel when others started to enter. I enjoyed this part because it was quiet and the air was not heavy with everyone else being down there. It also gave us room. We also stopped at a suspension bridge on the way back to our hotel which was so relaxing and the air was fresh. We did the lake option and I am happy we did. We loved the DMZ tour and were so grateful that we booked the private tour for our pick up and drop off. won was amazing and so nice to talk with. I appreciate his patience with my son and I and the way he made things for for my 7 year old.

      Spectacular day inDMZ with Eddy
As a child I've heard a lot about Korean War and its consequences . Now I had the opportunity to visit the DMZ,improperly called so,as there are one million soldiers, heavily armed, ready to kill each other. An amazing experience!! I felt sorry for the tragedy of the great people of Korea. A special remark for our guide, Eddy. He is an ex military, with perfect manners, both european and korean,a perfect command in English and a wide and extensive knowledge of history of the place. If you have the opportunity to have him as a guide, you will have a great experience. Adrian

      Won’s adventure
Truly an amazing day. We started the day early but Mr. Won was amazing at planning the day. We started the tour by going to the peace village and we heard so much history and stories. Overall I could write a book on how amazing the day was; The knowledge, the stories and the overall experience was beyond words. Our tour guide was truly amazing we couldn’t have asked for a better day. If you are looking for something to do please consider this tour. I highly recommend the lake suspension bridge. Mr. Won was truly an amazing tour guide he answered all the questions we had told us so much about Korea and the culture and also recommend places for us to visit and an amazing KBBQ place.

      Great Tour Guide, Very Knowledgeable
This is what I want to write; is it okay? We had a wonderful tour to the DMZ with Won who is a great tour guide! We were first in line for the Third Tunnel and were always well taken care of. He made sure we were safe and was careful to lead us where I could get around safely. Won communicates very well, so we were secure in knowing when and where and the time he was picking us up. I highly recommend Won as your guide!

I had the pleasure of going on many sightseeing trips around the world, but I must say that my recent experience in South Korea stood out as one of the best. The tour guide, Joey, was simply amazing. Her engaging and enthusiastic approach, combined with just the right level of humour, kept the entire group captivated. I highly recommend booking this tour if you're planning a trip to South Korea.

This was a great tour and one of our most memorable parts of our visit to South Korea. Our guide, Tommy, was very knowledgeable and friendly. He took photos of us throughout the day and started a whatsapp chat to share the photos with us. You'll want to keep an open mind/ have patience/ be flexible since only a limited number of people can enter the DMZ/ day and at specific time slots, which PLK Travel can't control or determine until after we arrive at the area right outside the DMZ. Make sure you bring your passport! We ended up meeting about 45 minutes earlier than originally scheduled because the DMZ limits how many tourists can visit a day (outside of PLK travel's control). This was all clearly communicated with me prior to the trip and was totally worth it! The bridge is stunning and only about 30-40 minutes away from the main DMZ area. You walk a short hike to the bridge and pass through some remnants from a battle held in the area. You can then walk along to a waterfall. We went back to the main area outside the DMZ after the bridge, got lunch and walked around. We went to the DMZ in the afternoon due to the number of people who can go in at a time and saw the third tunnel, the observatory, and the unification village. It was very safe and well structured the entire time.

P.S. We ended up booking through Get your Guide because it was sold out on here.

Julie was an A+ tour guide who made this tour so special. She is humorous, knowledgeable, energetic, and personable, in short, the perfect tour guide. She goes above and beyond to connect individually with members of the group. Her English is seamless, she keeps the group on track, and listens to our needs.

As far as the tour itinerary itself, I enjoyed each stop along the way and recommend the lake suspension bridge option. Pick a day with clear weather if possible to maximize the observatory experience. 10/10 would recommend this tour

It was worth visiting the DMZ with PLK Travel on a sunny Saturday in early April, especially great if you get to have Joey as the tour guide. She was perfect ! She was precise in what was going to happen during the day, she would give nice explanations about everything about the context around DMZ (Korean war's history) and her personal experience. She's also always trying to give some space to visitors so they can do some stuff by themselves, while also making sure everyone is not getting back to the bus late.

PLK Travel had requested to plan for a earlier departure time to beat the crowd and be sure to be among the 500 group visitors per day quota. e arrived as the 5th bus I think, and the parking lot quickly filled up, so really nice move ! I think this has allowed the tour to go through the regular schedule, with no special wait. Other groups seems to need to wait or change the order of sites to visit.

I would definitely recommend to take this tour compared to the other similar ones, based on the great tour guide you get, the fact they care about trying hard to not disappoint, and making the best chance to be within the quota, and the good communication prior the day.

my opinion about the stops :
    1. the DMZ arrival center : many things to visit, and the place to eat lunch. You should listen to Joey when she presents all the spots, then you'll have some minutes to take some pics. There's a museum also to visit, if you have some time to spare, a good thing to visit.
    2. the 3rd invasion tunnel : quite physical, if you're a senior, this is not recommended. It requires to walk down a tunnel for about 10 mins, then another 10 mins strait while not able to fully stand up, and finishing with some small views at the end, and head back. While going back up the tunnel, go slow, there's no rush, many people are so tired because they're going too fast.
    3. the observatory : it's the best part of the day in my opinion, having a 360 view, with many telescope to catch some views of North Korea and the DMZ. This is your last chance for souvenir shopping
    4. the suspension bridge : it's outside of DMZ, and a good 40 mins drive and also quite physical, climbing a hill for about 10-15 mins.. Then the long suspension bridge awaits you. But no souvenir shop about DMZ.

note : don't forget your passport, it will be checked by the military entering the DMZ. Else you're not allowed to visit some parts. In our day, 1 person (a couple where the husband had it but his wife "forgot" to take it.. . PLK Travel had reminded so many times prior the day, you're always asking yourself why are they doing that to themselves, like US people don't need to follow the rules ?

We had the best tour with our amazing tour guide -Paul Lee!

Paul is amazing, kind, knowledgeable and ever so accommodating!

We started our tour bright and early, and as one can expect we were all quite tired but he have brighten our day up with history of DMZ and kindly share his family story, giving us a personal insight on the importance and significance of the Mangbaedan to the local.

With the DMZ being such a tourist attraction nowadays, it is easy for one to forget that the history behind such historical site.

With Paul guide, explaining all the landmarks and history in depth, making our visit so special and memorable. Moreover, with Paul’s personal story allow us gain insight of what reunify mean to him, and to most South Koreans.
We were able to visit different sites within the DMZ during the day tour.

A memorable day with reminder of the brutality of war,the importance of peace and the hope to unify Korea. To the local unifying meaning peace, hope to reunite families and friends, learning one’s own ancestry and so much more.

We took the DMZ tour with visit to red suspension bridge (that could be shown better on tour options, now we had to google that DMZ + mountain (+name) means this red suspension bridge, different from lake bridge).

Departure stop was easy to find.
Our guide Jun was a very interactive and charming funny guy. The tour gave us a lot of food for thought because of his great introductions on Korean (hi)story and people.

Tour schedule was held spot on and Jun conducted the full bus load of people to stay on time. Visit to the tunnel was a bit of let down as it’s just just a low, dark tunnel inside the ground, maybe not worth going up and down just to see a wall that’s built up to block the entry to North Korea. Other than that, other locations of the tour were intriguing, despite being quite touristy (lots of tourists). Yet again, everything went smoothly. We’re glad that this tour didn’t take us to markets and force us to buy things.

If you want to maximize this tour, listen to what Jun has to tell. That way you get a deeper understanding of Korean past, present and future. Thanks for the great stories!

The tour started at 6:30 AM, with one stop to pick up more people. Our first destination was Imjingak Park, where we saw several culturally significant monuments and had the opportunity to buy breakfast.

Next, we visited the Dora Observatory, the 3rd Tunnel, and the beautiful Majang Bridge. The tour concluded around 4:30 PM, back at the pickup station.

Throughout the tour, our guide, Julie, provided in-depth background information on each location, including historical and geographical insights, all delivered in her naturally enjoyable style.

I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about the Korean War. If possible, try to go with Julie as your guide!

Pace of the tour was great, we did a lot and were able to spend ample time at each stop. Highly recommend bringing water, a fan, and/or cooling towel if you come during the warmer months - it was very hot/humid. We learned a lot about the history of Korea and the DMZ. Moon Young was an incredible guide! She was very sweet and took her time to explain everything to the group and keeping everyone on time. She did an excellent job of educating everyone on the history of Korea while maintaining a very positive/hopeful attitude. Would do this again.
