- ivangO7636XT0 contributionsAmazing experience at Gyeongbokgung PalaceMs. Lee is knowledgeable about the culture and history of South Korea. We really got to know the history of the palace and other sites we toured. At the end, Ms. Lee taught and gifted us a board game that we were able to play when we got back home!! We had an amazing experience with this tour and left South Korea with a greater knowledge of the history and culture. Ms. Lee was very friendly and able to answer all of my mother’s questions as well.Written 4 January 2025
- markpG8416ZO0 contributionsPlease call Lee for a great tour.Lee was a Fantastic Tour Guide; she answered all our questions and gave us insight for a time gone by. This walking tour was fun as the weather cooperated and we got the full experience of Seoul. Thanks Lee....!!!Written 12 November 2024
- Fearless552022792550 contributionsIt was a wonderful experience! Our tour guide, Lee, gave us clear instructions to where we should meet up for the tour. Arriving there, she explained how the Fish Market works and gave us a little tour. While waiting for our seafood to be ready, we had a little free time to look around. It was very interesting to see the market in person. Very different than what we see on the screen! Then, Lee took us to a restaurant on the second floor where they prepare the food for us. We were well taken care by her! Although there were no lobster nor crab, the food was AMAZING! Lee was a sweet and kind guide! It was worth it! I highly recommend this tour for seafood lovers!Written 7 November 2024

- suyiny20240 contributionsAutumn in Inwangsan Mountain etcGood! Super fit Lee led us up Inwangsan, worked a bit of our cardio. Atop, we soaked in heart-calming views. Some historical nuggets: Sajik Alter, Dangun Shrine. What rocked for me was a library nestled in the foliage - wouldn’t have come across it without Ms Lee. Rained but we were aligned in our easygoingness. We ducked into a shop for croissant/ latte and Namdo Buksik for -Spicy rice cake (Ddeokbokki), Flat dumplings (Napjak Mandu), Fried vegetables (Yachae Tuigim), Blood sausage (Sundae) - yea! We even like the same food. Shopping at Tongin market. Thks Lee for Honey cookies (Yakgwa)! - Su-Yin/JiunnWritten 26 October 2024
- U1842VXchloed0 contributionsNew food experience and great group dinner for a solo travellerWow what an experience. Lee was welcoming and took care of all negotiations with the sellers, she purchased us a huge variety of produce-from fish we knew well, to some local delicacies and things I would not usually get the chance to try (or be brave enough to try-but Lee was very helpful and explained everything). The market was fascinating, but the eating was the best bit! We went to a great restaurant upstairs that’s prepared our dishes, we had so much food and so many options, including an amazing fish soup and sorbet at the end. I was travelling alone, so it was lovely to meet the group and have dinner and soju with them. I found the booking as I did a hike with Lee back in January 2023 and wanted to try something different in a welcoming and friendly group which I knew it would be. We honestly had so much food and such high quality produce I genuinely wonder how Lee makes any profit, as there was so much great stuff and we didn’t want to anything/have to pay for anything extra, plus we all got a cute little cookie gift at the end and did a fun quiz at the table! Thanks Lee, I will be back in the future for sure.Written 23 October 2024

- Quest496186227340 contributionsSo much more than just a great climb!Thank you again. It was perfect weather. A great day, where I learned more about Korean culture and history, experienced a challenging but not difficult hike with a great guide, saw a 360 degree view of Seoul, discovered a vey unique, glassed-walled library in the woods, shared a Korean meal with a new friend, and discovered the best bakery in Seoul!Written 2 October 2024
- StephanM12170 contributionsInteresting story and lots of background information, conveyed very sympatheticallyLee from Hiney Trail provided the history and background information about Seiul and Korea in a knowledgeable and very friendly manner. I was able to immerse myself in the varied history of Seoul for a short time. Lee manages to combine in-depth knowledge with a lot of fun. Absolutely recommendable!Written 13 September 2024
- EstoEsEstopa0 contributionsLook no further... you've found your 5-star Korean guide!Lee’s 5 hour city highlights tour was truly OUTSTANDING, and a MUST for anyone new to Seoul or South Korea. Lee is personable, engaging, and impressively well travelled, having hiked her way across most of the globe (including sojourns in Africa, Nepal, Europe, Australia, and even Fargo, North Dakota!). She is deeply conversant in Korean history, speaks impeccable English, and — most impressive — readily won the favor of my three impish children, the oldest of whom (14) judged Lee’s tour to be the “BEST EVER”… high praise indeed from a moody teenage girl who typically issues eye rolls and bored yawns on similar family excursions. So… look no further… Lee’s is THE TOUR YOU NEED, and one that will serve as an excellent springboard for any vacation on the Korean peninsula. Bonus perks: 1/ Lee is a wellspring of miscellanea and information, and happily provided tailored recommendations for other activities during our time in country, to include backstreet foodie indulgences, local hiking trails, pro baseball, and — for the missus — must-visit meccas of “K-Beauty”; 2/ Lee is a passionate hiker and offers a number of guided treks for those study, adventurous, and brave enough to sweat their way up scenic climbs during a sweltering Seoul summer. Next time, perhaps…Written 7 August 2024
- amielu720 contributionsA Magical ExperienceHiking Gwanaksan with Lee is such a magical experience. This hike is a bit more of a challenge, especially on a hot day. But Lee makes sure to take breaks and give you a rest if you need it. Reaching the top and seeing the views that are breathtaking make the journey worth it. Visiting the temple and sharing lunch make the day that much more special. This has been my third year hiking with Lee on my trips to Seoul and every trip with her has been amazing. No matter the difficulty level, she is there to guide, encourage and show you this amazing nature she knows and loves. I have hiked with her in snow and in extreme heat and no matter the weather, she is prepared and ensures you have a good experience. She is one of the greatest tour guides I have ever met.Written 29 June 2024
- amielu720 contributionsIncredible views, incredible guideHiking Achasan with Honey Trail is so much fun. It's a pretty easy hike with amazing views. The best part though is hiking with Honey Trail who is so knowledgeable about the mountain and about the area. While on this hike you will go to a Buddhist temple and learn about the legend of rice growing from a rock. This is truly a beautiful and unique experience! I cannot recommending Honey Trail highly enough! Whenever I am in Seoul I seek out Honey Trail and schedule a hike.Written 29 June 2024
- dnasaur0 contributionsWonderful Day in Seoul with Lee!Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 college age daughters) had 3 great tours with Lee and highly recommend her for people visiting Seoul! Seeing the city with her was like visiting with a friend and gave us a better understanding of Korean culture. Lee also helped us get the train/bus bus cards at a convenience store and had lots of great suggestions for restaurants and getting around Seoul. Sometimes she recommended a taxi versus the subway when it would be about the same price for 4 of us. For our 2nd tour, we met in Insadong which has traditional goods and cafes. We purchased hand-painted fans that the calligrapher customized with our names. We went to Jogyesa temple, which was decorated with colorful paper lanterns for the Buddha's birthday and has beautiful 400+ and 500+ year-old trees. We then went to Gwanghwamun Square and Gyeongbokgung Palace, the main palace, where Lee timed our arrival for the changing of the guard. We walked up to the Bukchon village, one of the oldest villages in Seoul with traditional Korean Hanok houses. We finished at Gwangjang market with some delicious food for lunch and a walk along the Chenggyecheon Stream. It was a fabulous day with Lee!Written 3 June 2024

This hike was the highlight of my trip to Seoul. Lee was so friendly and helpful with all my questions leading up to the hike, it was an easy hike with good footpaths all along, and I would recommend for all ages that enjoy walking! Lee told us lots of about the area, facts and stories that were really interesting as a visitor to Seoul. The sunrise at the top was incredible (we even saw a comet that day which made it all the more special).
I wore my hiking shoes but would have been fine in trainers.
I was travelling alone, Lee introduced me to the whole group and make special effort to include me and chat to me which was very appreciated.
This was the perfect way to start my day of exploring the city!

Started Anson Hike by meeting the others of the group and the local guide Lee at Dongnimmun Station where everyone introduced their selves. To start the hike, we had a lovely leisurely walk-through Independence Park where our host Lee informed our party of the local history of the area. When we left Independence Park we started our easy gradual walk-up Anson Mountain, during the walk Lee would continuously check we were managing ok while being informative of places around us. The walk was easy, very enjoyable and “a breath of fresh air”, and the view at the mountain top was stunning!! Walking down the mountain we visited an old Buddhist Temple Bongwon-sa, where our host Lee explained the history of the Temple.
Lee is a wondrous guide and I would recommend anyone wanting to hike Anson Mountain to take this tour or one of her others, you will not be disappointed!!

Such a fun experience!
Before we started to hike, we saw independence gate and a prison. I didn't know about Korean history much. Lee's explanation about the Korean history was very informative. If you want to see historic sites in Korea, you should see the prison from the Japanese time. The hike was easy and enjoyable. Very refresh, and the view from the mountain was spectacular! I visited N tower and Lotte tower in Seoul. Honestly, I think the view from this mountain is definitely the best!!!! The Buddhist temple is just beautiful. I saw other temples in Seoul, but this one is bigger and have more to see. Lee is full of joy and very friendly. I'm very happy I found her tour. :)

The hike was great but the guide made it amazing. Very informative, super-friendly and patient and made the entire day so fun. Getting to the top also felt like such a reward and she just gave you so much history of the places along the way as well.
I felt very informed and such great value for money.
I highly recommend this if you are in Seoul and have a few hours to spare. You'll love it. :)

I spent four days in Seoul and not only wanted to experience this vibrant city but also enjoy nature. So, I booked two half day trips with Lee: Ansan and Bugaksan. Although I had just arrived in Seoul, the meeting points were easy to find. Lee is such a warm-hearted person and easy to talk to. I got to ask questions about life in South Korea while enjoying these hikes and the magnificent views.

It was really nice to meet and hike with you. I hope I can visit your country again and hike the mountain together with you. It would be amazing. And thank you for the fun photos and videos. Whenever you send me something, I know I'll laugh hard on the street, so I watch them when I get home. Hahaha. Thank you for making my day many times! Have a lovely day. :-)

It was such a wonderful day that I feel compelled to provide this feedback and share my experience with others. After taking in the sombre history of Independence Park at the start of our hike, we started the gradual (and quite easy) climb up Mt Ansan. At the top we were rewarded with great views of the city. Most of the walk was in a forest with a very fresh feeling. For me the highlight of the day was the visit to Bongwongsa Temple. Our leader, Lee, explained a lot about the history and practices of the unique branch of Buddhism practised there. Overall 5 stars, highly recommend.
