About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- nicoleashleynel0 contributionsTour guide is part of a paper / perfume scam! The pyramids and the museum were fantastic. But two stops that were not communicated to us before was a perfume museum and another place to show us how ancient Egyptian paper was made. When we left the pyramids we were told it was early and there was extra time, they offered to take us for free to the above mentioned. Both are scams and I presume they get kickbacks from bringing tourists there. The perfume ‘museum’ is not a museum. There is a man that shows you how to make a glass bottle for 5min followed by a ‘history’ lesson on how their perfume was made where you get to try the oils and perfumes. Once this is done you are asked if you want to buy some, and the quality of the ones you tested were amazing. I wanted two bottles of 75ml each and was told there is a special travel offer where you select 4 x 100ml oils and then they are wrapped for travel. All for the reasonable price of £200. I felt exceptionally pressured to buy and actually felt uncomfortable. I decided to just buy it and leave. My card didn’t seem to work, and the tour guide offered to take me somewhere to get money and come back - which already made me very suspicious. My partner ended up paying. We were then taken to a paper ‘museum’ where they show you how ancient Egyptian paper was made. Again it was 5min of demonstration and 30min of trying to be sold something. We were made so uncomfortable as we stated multiple we did not want to buy something but they kept pushing and pushing. To the point where I joked with my partner to just buy something small otherwise we won’t ever leave. He decided to get a small picture for £75 just so that we could leave. I was left feeling extremely uncomfortable and upset. Wanting to make the best of our day I decided to focus on the next stop which was the bazaar which I was looking forward to the most. When we got there the guide basically ran through two sections and every time I wanted to stop and look at something she became dismissive and irritated as if I was wasting her time as she wanted to leave. She would hover us and tell us everything is cheap and from China so it’s a waste of time. This was really unpleasant and exceptionally disappointing. I left feeling quite upset as I knew I would not have the chance to go back and I wanted to get some souvenirs for family and friends. When we got to the hotel we immediately googled these two stops and everywhere it was shown that these were scams. The perfume probably the worst, the quality you are shown at the facility is much better compared to what you are given. They expect you to only open this once back home as they ‘sealed’ it so it wouldn’t leak in your suitcase. Many people online complained how much money they wasted on poor quality cheap oil. We were still in Egypt for a few days and I contacted the guide with this feedback who immediately put me in contact with the perfume shop. Once I told them this and complianed and mentioned I would be reporting this, and that I wanted a refund. They were extremely defensive but after many threats they refunded me. In hindsight all the signs were there but you feel at the mercy of people you don’t know. I would not recommend taking this tour when in Egypt.Written 10 September 2024

- Z3191DLdanp0 contributionsExcellent highlightsWe did this tour Sept 2024. It was great our tour guide messaged us a couple days before and the night prior to check in with us. We started early and went right to the pyramids in private van. Mimo was not only knowledgeable but also our photographer for the day. We were not rushed but also moved along we didn’t waste any time. We had lots of offers to stay and do more photos or ask questions. Lunch was great and more than we could eat. We stopped for some extra shopping. We felt very safe the whole time.Written 8 September 2024
- _T4740OC0 contributionsBest guide and driver in Egypt!I went Giza pyramid, bazaar, museum with an excellent guide, Nour and a nice driver. Nour has deep knowledge about Egyptian history so I did really enjoyed his guide. Actually I felt a little nervous before the tour because Egyptian culture is different from Japanese one, but Nour and the nice driver eased my nerves. Thank you so much!Written 6 September 2024
- Judy C0 contributionsGoing solo in the Pyramids!I had a solo private tour of the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum. My guide Michael showed me around, very knowledgeable with the history and facts about all the places we visited. I was also taken to the gold and silver bazaar and cotton store where I enjoyed looking around and went out of both stores with something to remember my first Egypt trip. Our driver Amr drove us safely from and to places. By the way, Michael is not only a very good guide but took some nice photos of me as well.Written 6 September 2024

- marliciac20220 contributionsTour with Mimo and IbrahimMimo and Ibrahim were great! Mimo made the schedule so that I did have a problem with the heat. Also provided cold waters in the van. This was our last tour for our stay in Giza & was the best we seen and learned so much! Ibrahim was a great photographer for us at the panoramic point & very welcoming every time we exited & entered the vehicle he made sure to get out first to open the door. 10/10! !Written 2 September 2024

- 467mirandar0 contributionsVery disappointedWe had a terrible experience with our tour guide, Zeinar, today. The entire day felt rushed, and it significantly impacted our enjoyment. At the pyramids, which was the primary choice of this tour we were supposed to spend three hours, as advertised on the tour website, but we were hurried through in under two hours. This time was reached only because we felt we needed to say something to slow the experience down or it would have been shorter. It was very hot but our guide favoured just driving past the other two pyramids and a kerb side look at the spinx from a distance. As she preferred the air conditioned van. Instead of focusing on the historical sites, we spent far too much time at a perfume shop, jewelry store, and a Papyrus art gallery—none of which were listed as part of the tour on Tripadvisor.. It felt like a complete waste of our time and a sponsored stop where pushy retailers were trying to make us buy over expensive products of their stores. Our guide was not even present but left us with these people. During our visit to the Egyptian Museum, Zeinar barely gave us a proper tour. She quickly walked us around, showing us very little, and seemed more interested in her phone and social media than in guiding us. We were there for about an hour and a half but gained very little from the experience as we had to read the labels of exhibits ourselves as the guide was on her phone yet again. The stop at the bazaar was similarly disappointing. Initially Zeinab wasn’t in favour of taking us to the Bazar as she was too hot and suggested we drive past. After saying we wanted to go she didn’t guide us through the shops as we expected. Instead, she left us to wander around on our own while she stayed on her phone. We only spent about 20 minutes there, which was frustrating. To top it all off, before the tour ended, she had the driver drop her off first, which was unprofessional and inconsiderate before the adverted 8 hour time. We were deeply disappointed with this tour, we felt that it was not good value for the money and cannot recommend itWritten 22 August 2024
- Josephine E0 contributionsBeautiful Landmarks, Not so great Tour GuideThe trip was filled with lots of history and beautiful landmarks. However, our tour guide Michael was a bit of a disappointment. He mislead us on the papyrus stop claiming they wouldn’t negotiate when they clearly did. It made us feel like he was getting a cut. He also charged us an additional 40EGP for the driver and a friend to get into the pyramids; claimed he would give us back the cash and did not. His lunch option was below average though it came with a view of the pyramids. When walking through the Egyptian street vendors, I felt like he was in on the deals and made a cut of the purchase.Written 22 August 2024
