Few tourists in Egypt venture to Alexandria, a legendary port city on the Mediterranean coast founded by Alexander the Great. During this private day tour with hotel transfers from Cairo or Giza, discover under-the-radar attractions of one of antiquity’s most prosperous cities, once known for its massive library, which held 500,000 books, and the Pharos of Alexandria, the most famous lighthouse of the ancient world. Those sights now only exist in legend, but you get a chance to explore other ancient ruins that have remained standing, such as the Roman Theater, and medieval marvels, including the Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa. After a tasty lunch in a local restaurant, see the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, a library built to commemorate Alexandria’s ancient center of knowledge. Take a stroll along the Corniche, a historic waterfront promenade, before private transfer back to your hotel.

I wanted to take a moment to share our fantastic experience with Sherif during our family trip to Cairo. As a family of four with two toddlers, this was our first adventure to another continent, and we couldn't have asked for a better guide. Sherif provided exceptional customer service, always ensuring our comfort and safety in the bustling city. He was incredibly attentive to our needs, making our experience enjoyable and stress-free. Both he and the drivers were consistently punctual and professional, which made everything run smoothly. Thanks to Sherif, we had an unforgettable time exploring Cairo. We truly appreciate his efforts and dedication to making our trip special!

      Sammy’s Great Photo Tour
Samy gave us a great introductory photo tour of Cairo, taking us to interesting places that we would not have found on our own. Throughout our time together, he took fabulous, professional looking photos and videos which he gave to us. We leave with great memories of this busy, interesting city. Thank you, Samy.

      Amazing night made by Fero
Amazing Experience! Fero was an amazing host and made our night a very memorable one. They picked us up early from the museum and took us to the boat and settled us in at the table right next to the stage. When the evening ended they accommodated us when we changed the drop off point to further away without hesitation. We were going to get an Uber but they insisted on taking us to where we needed to go. 100% recommend and I will use them again next year when we return

A Mesmerising Magical Cruise under the Egyptian stars!
What a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hospitality of Somaya, and Abdullah was amazing and I enjoyed the drive to the cruise. They made me feel so at home from the first second and throughout the night made sure I was enjoying myself. The food and shows were also wonderful. I would recommend this adventure to everyone. 100%

Amazing trip, tour guide and driver!
We booked the all inclusive tour with entry fees and lunch paid which made everything very convenient. I was initially scared of the trip and getting scammed but the driver and tour guide really made it awesome. We had Muhammad as the driver and Meena as our tour guide and both were very professional and very nice. We were late at the start but they were both very accomodating and made the day really exciting. Meena is very knowledgeable, she answered all of our questions not just about the pyramids but about Egypt life itself. She’s very funny and really gives her all to make sure we we’re learning whilst also enjoying our time. She also took a lot of photos for us, making sure we get the best locations. She would also take us to places where we wanted such as camel riding and would make sure if we want to buy anything and if not then she would stop us from getting hassled by vendors. She really made our trip easy and fun so were very grateful that we had her us our guide. She also took into consideration that Sakkara and Dashur gets really hot during midday so she made sure we visited early and left the great pyramids as the last place to visit which was so worthwhile after seeing all the other ones. We left the lunch for last, and we really loved the variety of the buffett. Mix of exotic and western food but we eat both so we were really satisfied. The car was very clean, and always have the AC on, which was amazing after all the walking. Were also thankful for Muhammad because he always opens the door for us and he also bought us water and dates when we said we wanted to try them. We loved them so much that we agreed to have them again the next day for our cairo citadel tour. So if you have a choice, request them for your trip!

Excellent day Aladdin delivered more - thank you Emo tours
Aladdin our guide treated us to an excellent day visiting Al fayoum , magic lake , whale skeleton national park and museum and waterfalls. The drivers were excellent Mohammed very skilfully and thrillingly drove through the desert and dunes , Mo navigated and drove from Cairo . Aladdin was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history , the fossils and general Egyptian life and knows how to take a great photo. He generously provided extra coffee, Egyptian breakfast and snacks and generally wished us to have a great day - which we did! We had an absolutely delicious traditional Egyptian lunch at White desert camp and were then enjoyed surfing down the dunes - feeling more than half our age! Thanks Aladdin for sharing this part of Egypt with us. A well recommended tour!

      Reliable, Communicative and Professional
Wonderful Tour Company! Firstly, their customer care support team is amazing. A huge thank you to Azoma and Halim for helping out with all our queries and planning our tours. The staff is what makes this company so special. Our tour guides were exceptional and professional. They loved their jobs and it truly reflected in their passionate attitudes. In our personal opinion, The Nile River Cruise was just okay, not too worth an experience, on the other hand the Luxor West Bank Tour was phenomenal! Also a big thank you to our driver, Salaah. He gave us a lot of good tips.

Pathetic experience! Quality of guide and overall knowledge of history needs lot of improvement. We booked guided tour but ended up paying extra everywhere, thanks to our guide for this ! Just got headline information which is available on google as well on one click , waste of money spend on guided tour. Not on a single occasion we feel that we are with guide and guide is providing us insights on history

Our automobile was comfortable and the driver was very pleasant and very professional. We were able to see the building of the new cities (e.g. Giza), the new highways which were smooth and clean. The ride was just enough and did not feel too long. Our tour guide (Marwa Galal) was very knowledgeable, friendly, engaging, informative and very attentive. She is inspirational with a can do attitude. We are wishing Marwa all the best as we know that she has great aspirations. Our lunch was fantastic which included a local fish cooked very well, the hot bread was freshly baked and served right out of the oven and the view of the Mediterranean sea was perfect from the restaurant. We were traveling as a family, three sisters with our mother who was celebrating her 80th birthday.

I wasn't sure at first it would be a wise decision to spend nearly 3 hours each way from Cairo to and back from Alexandria just to tour a city. Turned out to be a very small one! The car is very roomy and the driver is very friendly. Our tour guide, Mahmoud abd El-Rahman, is very knowledgeable about the city and absolutely a qualified tour guide for such a great city, long history, countless architecture, and deep culture. He didn't stop talking during the entire 6 - 7 hours of our trip. His English is fluent and easy understanding! The 12-hour trip is definitely worth of the time and the cost!! Strongly recommend!

We had a very pleasant and interesting tour in Alexandria. Our driver was friendly and drove good, the drive itself was interesting, and our guide was very kind and knowledgeable about Alexandria and the Greek-Roman-Egypten culture that was the foundation of the city. The lunch was also delicious.

I hired a vself drive rental car at Cairo airport for my 3 day trip to Egypt inspite of reviews that is is not safe to drive on your own in Egypt. However l was pleasantly surprised at the awesome Motorways in Egypt. I drove from Cairo to Ismailia and also from Cairo to Alexandria and Rosetta. Fantastic roads with a 120 km ph speed limit. Cairo is crowded but l am brought up driving in India so l did not have any trouble getting around. I recommend driving in Egypt as it is very convenient and cheap. The fuel is 0.35 USD a litre and tolls are incredibly low … a quarter or even a dime. The car rentals are also reasonable.

We booked an Alexandria day trip with Emo Tours. Despite some initial confusion around the start time of the tour, our guide Essam G. and driver waited around 1 hour for us before the tour started. We had a smooth, 2.5 hour drive to Alexandria from Cairo.
We were able to see 4 different sites in Alexandria. Essam was able to explain every site in detail, while also taking the time to buy us snacks and juice as we had skipped breakfast! He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable on our trip, and even gave us a small souvenir when we were done. I would strongly recommend that if you book through Emo Tours, you ask for Essam G as your guide.

We were up at the crack of dawn to be ready & waiting on the street for our tour to start at 7am, as scheduled. By 7.30am there was not a soul to be seen and we had received no communication from the tour operator. I contacted the operator to enquire as to the driver’s whereabouts, and was advised he would not arrive until 8.30am. A made up-sounding excuse about traffic was offered which really irritated me — no one likes a ‘sorry’ with a ‘but’ stapled immediately after it. A delay of 10 minutes is acceptable but an hour and a half is not — simple as that. This really soured our start to the day. If you are a punctilious person I cannot therefore recommend this tour operator as you will find yourself feeling stressed and frustrated.

That said, when we arrived in Alexandria, our tour guide Sheri was waiting for us at the first stop (and apparently did not know what had gone on with the driver situation either). We liked her and thought she had a nice manner about her, and was well-informed about the topics and places we visited, including Alexandria’s fascinating catacombs. But we did feel the tour somehow felt a bit rushed, and short on stops. For what amounts to 5-6 of hours driving in total, it would be nice to see more spots in Alexandria on this tour. The one that struck me as missing was a wander along the Corniche, which could be a lovely photo opportunity for guests. Unfortunately, we just drove along it en route to another stop.

I went on the Alexandria tour from Cairo today with Ali; an Exceptional guide, and Abraham; the "Best driver in Egypt". I thoroughly enjoyed Alexandria, the catacombs and the Citadel. Lunch was also superb.
Egypt is wonderful country with a vast history and a welcoming population.
I highly recommend EMO tours for your vacation needs in Egypt. EMO tours has treated me like family over the last two weeks and I thank them for the excellent guides and service they have provided. The memories will be forever.

The tour was a far commute from Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt ( over 2 hours) but so worth it. Our driver was on time and made sure the ride was comfortable. Once we got to Alexandria our tour guide met us to begin the tour. We toured the world's largest library, the Mediterranean Sea with a sea side authentic Egyptian lunch, Alexander the Great site, etc. It was so informative and overall great experience. It's definitely worth booking.

What a nice comfortable tour with Medhat. He is almost a native English speaker and his knowledge of Egyptology is professorial. Medhat is a great story teller and he reminds me of some of my favorite college instructors whose impression on me will last a lifetime. Don’t miss out on a day well spent from Cairo to Alexandria. The car was comfortable. The tour was interesting. The lunch was great. And best of all was my guide, Medhat.

We had a great full day tour to Alexandria with Essam (spelling??)
The driver and our guide were both friendly and professional. Our guide was a former schoolteacher so he was great at telling us the history of Egypt and Alexandria. The drive was long but went by fast and we stopped for a break about half way through. Once we got to Alexandria we visited the Catacombs, a huge tower, a roman theatre, and more. Our guide was great making sure that we were taken care of and always happy. I highly recommend!!
