My niece and I had an unforgettable two-day tour with Zenab. We explored three Pyramid sites, a Mosque with stunning city views, the Hanging Church in the Coptic area, a bustling bazaar, and the main Egyptian museum. Zenab's knowledge and pride in his country were truly impressive, and he was available for questions even after the tour ended. I highly recommend choosing a private tour and customizing your itinerary. Make sure to ask for Zenab!

Sounds like we had an awesome time exploring the pyramids with Ashraf as our guide! It's pretty rare to find someone so knowledgeable and eager to share not just the ancient history but also what's going on in modern Egypt. From what you said, Ashraf really went above and beyond, taking photos and making sure we enjoyed every moment without feeling rushed. That's the mark of a great guide—someone who makes the experience memorable beyond just the sights. Props to the tour company for using WhatsApp to keep things smooth—it’s great that they’re using what works best to keep everyone informed. These little details can make a trip super easy and stress-free. Asking for Ashraf by name sounds like a pro tip for anyone wanting to explore Egypt. Having a guide who's not only knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about sharing his culture really sets this tour apart. Thanks for the recommendation—it's invaluable for anyone planning their own adventure to see the pyramids and wanting an experience that's truly top-notch!

Great ATV ride by the Giza Pyramids
Seeing the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx was hands-down the best part of the tour. The quad bike ride at the edge of the Giza plateau was an absolute blast. Our guide, Ashraf, made the whole experience unforgettable with his awesome stories. We had a ton of fun and got some amazing photos. I totally recommend this tour, especially if you can get Ashraf as your guide.

          Wonderful experience
Man, hittin' up the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx was straight-up the best part of our trip. Them old wonders got us feelin' some way with all that history and whatnot. But yo, what really took it to another level was tearin' it up on them quad bikes right on the edge of the Giza plateau. Flyin' across the desert with the pyramids in the background? Pure adrenaline, no cap. Our guy Ashraf was the real MVP, though. He knew his stuff inside out, tellin' us all these dope stories about Egyptian history like we was time-travelin'. Dude made everything mad interesting, so we was hangin' on every word. We had a blast and snapped some fire pics that we gon' treasure forever. From the quad bike thrill rides to those jaw-droppin' views of the pyramids and the Sphinx, everything was on point, planned out perfect. If you tryin' to see Cairo's iconic spots, this tour's a must. And if you can, make sure you get Ashraf as your guide. His knowledge and love for Egyptian history gon' make your trip next-level.

Great Tour with Tree of Life Tours
This was the best tour I took in Egypt. Zenab, my tour guide, was patient, not pushy, and spoke excellent English. She showed me unique spots and made the experience smooth. The driver was also kind and patient. Highly recommended, especially if you need a calm and chill guide. Plus, she’s a fantastic photographer!

          Brilliant two day tour service!
Mimo our tour guide and Ibrahim our driver for the two days was exceptional. Nothing was too much hassle for them. Mimo made our experience great, he made sure that we had everything we needed going at our own pace especially with a 21 month old baby. They adjusted pick up time by half hr as 8am was too early for us. He is very knowledgeable and has tons of information to share. Our trip to the Saqqara was part way abandoned due to the extreme heat by ourselves and Mimo refunded our tickets for it- brilliant service. The camel ride was shorter than the allcated time but Mimo made sure this was completed and sent us back on again- he gave us the choice of riding the horse and carriage. He really went the extra mile to make sure we had time to experience, rest and explore thoroughly. Ask for Mimo if you do book and you will see how accomadating he is. He even stopped to get us watermelon at our request! Food was good in a nice resturant the first day, then shawarma on the second. Everything is explained clearly and fully- adjustments are made according to the client- it is your tour so go with what works for you. All addidional stops that isnt part of the tour was a treat too. He did not push us to buy infact he made sure the locals especially in Khan-el-Khalil bazzar werent ripping us off with extortinate prices- he made sure we didnt fall for it and kept us all safe throughtout our two day. We already miss his company. Ibrahim is a true gentleman, opening the door helping with our stroller making sure the car was always clean. Aircon great what luxury! There was no pressure and we were relaxed. Thank you to both men for making our trip pleasant.

          Solo female Cairo tour
Zenab, a female guide for a personalized tour of the Giza Pyramids and Saqqara, where I discovered the pyramids, saw the Sphinx, and climbed into ancient tombs. Ideal for solo female travelers in Cairo, this women-only tour ensures comfort and offers a rare chance to explore with a female Egyptologist in Egypt’s male-dominated travel industry.

Our tour with Zenab and Mido was fantastic. They picked us up from our hotel in an A/C car and explained our itinerary. At the Great Pyramids of Giza, Zenab took great photos, and we enjoyed a camel ride to the viewing area. We visited the Papyrus paper gallery, the Sakkara Step Pyramid, and the treasures of Ramses II in Memphis. Lunch was delicious, and we had a view of the Pyramids. We also saw how essential oils and perfumes are made. Zenab and Mido provided excellent historical insights and made us feel comfortable throughout. I highly recommend asking them for the best tour of Egypt!

Our adventure in Cairo, the city that never truly sleeps, was elevated to an unforgettable experience, thanks to Ashraf, our incredibly knowledgeable and gracious tour guide, and Salah, our skillful driver. When Ashraf reached out to us a day before our arrival, his proactive communication assured us we were in good hands. This level of organization and attention to detail set the tone for the entire day. Ashraf's expertise in Egypt's rich history breathed life into every monument we visited. From the awe-inspiring pyramids of Giza, where history stands tall against the backdrop of time, to the vibrant corridors of the Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, bustling with the essence of Egyptian culture, He provided insights that went beyond the ordinary. His ability to capture the perfect moments for photos made our memories even more unique, ensuring we could bring a piece of our adventure back home. The highlight of our day was undoubtedly the delicious lunch with a view of the pyramids. It was a moment of tranquility amidst a day filled with wonder. Following lunch, our afternoon at the Egyptian Museum was enriched by Ashraf's deep knowledge of the artifacts, making the history of this ancient civilization unfold before our eyes. Ashraf's punctuality, politeness, and passion for sharing his country's heritage made him not just a guide but a host in the truest sense of the word. Coupled with Salah's driving that easily navigated Cairo's lively streets, our day was as seamless as it was spectacular. I wholeheartedly recommend Ashraf and Salah for anyone looking to explore Cairo's historical wonders. Their professionalism, warmth, and expertise transform a simple tour into an extraordinary voyage through time.

Returning to Cairo's iconic pyramids was an experience I thought couldn't be topped, yet I am pleasantly corrected here. This time around, our guide, Ashraf, transformed the familiar sightseeing venture into an extraordinary exploration. His depth of knowledge about Egypt's rich history and his engaging storytelling manner added layers of intrigue and appreciation I hadn't encountered on my first visit. Opting for the 8-hour tour allowed us to immerse ourselves fully in the wonders of Cairo beyond the towering marvels of the Pyramids. From the bustling markets echoing the vibrant day-to-day life to the serene and imposing Sphinx that stands guard, every moment was a thrilling discovery, igniting a sense of adventure and curiosity. Gouda's approachable and pleasant demeanor made all the difference, making it feel less like a guided tour and more like a heartwarming day out with a friend who happens to know incredible amounts about one of the world's most fascinating places. His passion for sharing the history and culture of Egypt was evident, making every tale from the ancient world come alive before our eyes. Endorsing this tour comes easy for anyone looking to experience Cairo and its pyramids, whether for the first or tenth time; having Ashraf as your guide will undoubtedly enrich your visit. It's not just about ticking off landmarks but about connecting with the heart and soul of Egypt, all thanks to a guide who goes above and beyond to make your day memorable.

          Great Cairo tour
Stepping into an adventure with Zenab as our guide and Hosn at the wheel was like unlocking a treasure chest of experiences. Their expertise and hospitality fashioned a day that was as seamless as it was memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend entrusting your explorations to them. The modern chariot transport was impeccable - clean, comfortable, and ideally suited for our adventure across the wonders. This tour is the embodiment of time well invested, each moment brimming with enriching and captivating activities. From the exhilaration of a camel ride, sensing the vastness of the desert as we neared the majestic pyramids, to the breathtaking sights of mummies and treasures at the museum, the day was a vibrant mosaic of experiences. The surreal feeling of capturing photos against the backdrop of the ancient pyramids, a moment suspended in time that I’ll forever treasure. However, it was the museum's ancient wonders that held me captive, a vivid testament to a civilization that continues to captivate and motivate me. This tour was a phenomenal adventure in every aspect, filled with moments that linger in the mind long after they’ve passed. Zenab and Hosn didn’t just show us the sights; they invited us into a story that unfolded with each stop. This tour is an absolute must for anyone exploring these historical wonders. It’s not just a day out; it’s a journey into the heart of history, guided by two individuals who truly make it unforgettable.

        Tour guide: Ahmed Maged
        Company: Tree of Life Tours
Private Guided Night Tour of Cairo

I went to Cairo for a weekend of photgraphy centric tourism. With that in mind and to maximize my short time, I sought out tours that I thought would scratch that itch. Using the Viator website, I discovered the aforementioned tour (one of several similar), but selected Ahmed Maged's tour specifically because of some of the photos on the site.

The tour covered a felucca ride on the Nile, the Cairo Tower, and then a bit of meandering through the Khan al Khalili bazaar and old Islamic Cairo.

Ahmed and his driver picked me up at my Hotel, and we drove downtown, the driver expertly getting us there by liberal usage of horn and flashing the high beams which apparently acts as a sort of force field. If you've never experienced Cairo traffic, just arriving somewhere safely makes the sights more beautiful, the smells more delightful, and the songs of birds more pleasing to the ear. You feel like you have a new chance, a new beginning...verily, you feel more alive than ever before. But back to the tour.

I explained to Ahmed that I was interested in trying to capture some shots of the City at the Blue Hour (just after sunset until it's totally dark), and he worked the schedule so that we could try that. That meant that we cut our felucca ride a bit short. Point being, he was happy to work with me to get the opportunities to shoot what and where i wanted.

Cairo Tower is an impressive spire near Zamalek with expansive views of the city. By the time we got there, we were close to the optimal time for photos. As we got out of the car, we were greeted with a HUGE line. But, with his intimate knowledge of the ins and outs of local tourism, he knew the secret to access: buy a 100LE ticket (around USD5) for elevator access to the cafe at the top. I gladly sprung for the pass, and off we went.

I briefly felt guilty walking past hundreds of people waiting to go to the top, but realized that we'd be there all night if we hadn't gotten the cafe pass. And it's available to anyone who wants it. A minute or so ride to the top, a few flights of steps, and we were out looking across the city.

In the dusk with reflections of neon on the river Nile, the city was absolutely gorgeous. Not quite like a disco (as sung by Natacha Atlas and Trans-Global Underground), but it's a fantastic way to see the city.

After getting all the shots I was interested, we moved to the cafe. The price of admission included up to 100LE of cafe items (standard cafe fare of coffee, cakes, drinks, etc.). It was a form of credit, and essentially, if you had a cup of coffee and a dessert, you could stay under that limit and feel like you ate for free. Very nice, and a continuation of the views via the windows.

We finished up, descended, and hopped back in the car to grab some shwarma which we ate in the historic Al Fishawy cafe. A haunt of Egyptian movie stars and directors, it's world renowned and has been in operation since the early 1700s. We hung out there afterward and sipped on some tea and second hand smoked hubbly bubbly. Eventually, we left and wandered around the Khan al Khalili for an hour or so.

We found our way out of the market area, and back onto the streets of Islamic Cairo, which, on a Friday night, were bustling with people enjoying an evening out. Families were dining, market stalls sold fresh juices and snacks, and there was generally an atmosphere of congenial fun. Ahmed again showed his knack for finding great photo vantages, and I spent a happy couple of hours working on compositions and crafting photos that I think I'll be proud of.

Following this, we headed back to Giza and he dropped me off at my hotel. All in all, it was a long day, with a tour in the morning, and the night tour as well. But, as I laid my head on my pillow after a refreshing shower, I reflected on the whirlwind tour, and looked forward to importing and processing the photos I'd managed to make.

Ahmed was fantastic. He was patient, and more than willing to wait while I refined a particular scene. At one point, he was drafted into service to spin a lighted baloon while I worked on getting a steady non-tripod low light shot again and again and again. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and had a wealth of information about the places we visited. Even better, he was so willing to craft the tour to meet my photographic expectations, and at no point was I detoured into a papyrus/perfume/crafts shop to meet his "cousin," a technique that is all to common in the area.

All in all, it was a fantastic way to spend the evening, and absolutely was worth every penny that I spent (I was a solo traveler, and the price tends to be more than with a group). While not technically a photography tour, Ahmed was familiar enough with concepts of composition that I was able to craft some shots that I will be very proud of, once I download and process them over the next couple of days. A few mobile phone samples are below in the meantime.

My wife and I had a blast with our guide Mina and driver Basem! We did an evening tour that included a trip to the top of Cairo Tower, a sunset felucca ride, El Mokkatam mountain, a koshary dinner, and Khan el Khalili bazaar. Mina took great care of us and was flexible when we wanted to spend time at El Fishawy. Basem or DJ Basem was very accommodating with the music which made my wife really happy. It did not feel like a tour at all. The evening felt like a group of friends that had known each other hanging out and enjoying the evening. He also heard me mention that we wanted to by perfumes and took us to Kingdom Perfurme in Giza where we were able to purchase a couple that we liked. Mina was also awesome at taking photos. I highly recommend the evening tour but you have to do it with Mina and Basem!

Our guide Ahmed Maggid was fun and encouraging. We began the evening with a fluke a ride on the Nile followed by a quick trip up-and-down Cairo tower for photos and fun. Then some koshary at a local restaurant and finally Khan el Khalili at night. The market at night has been one of the most highlighted spots of our trip yet. It's a completely different scene from during the day, all the Egyptians are there having a good time and there's lots to do. I got a henna tattoo and we had coffee and sweets at El Fishawy.

We recently took the Cairo By Night Tour with Mohammad Gouda. We had so You much fun with Mohammad and think it is because he is passionate about his job and sharing his country. He made the places we were seeing come to life.
When he took us for dinner,he sat and socialized with us. At the market, he was patient and kind. The next day we into him and he helped us with a problem we were having. He makes us smile when we think of him.

We selected this tour as our first view of Egypt and the tour did not disappoint. Our guide Khaled Mamdoh met us at our hotel promptly at 5pm. He was a joy and a pleasure to work with. He took us a jewelry store, fragrance shop, and through the bazaar area. He stressed that since our tour was private we could customize to do as little or as much as we wanted. We opted to skip the bazaar since we would be traveling there later in our stay. Khaled picked up falafel and foul for dinner and we proceeded to our feccula ride. The ride was awesome and showed a beautiful view of the city. Khaled offered to take pictures and did everything to ensure we had an amazing time. I will note in hindsight that the jewerly store we visited was over priced and we subsequently found the items much cheaper for the same quality. All in all, that didn’t ruin our tour. Thanks Khalid for a fun night.

This tour of Cairo was a great way to start our Egyptian adventure! From the top of the Cairo Tower, to the river Nile, to the heart of the city in the Khan Al-Khalili market, Ibrahim Rashad guided us through this fascinating city. His humor, friendly nature and vast knowledge stoked our enthusiasm and wonder of the Egyptian culture. Thank you Ibrahim for a wonderful, super fun tour!! We were lucky and happy to have you for our guide!
