This was our worst tour in Egypt - all others were great. When we complained, Expedia did provide a full refund. However, this is a day lost of our holiday. This is for the half day east bank tour of Luxor. We did contact EMO first but they would not accept the tour was not good enough. I do think that it's a quality control issue as other reviews suggest they do have some excellent tour guides. Issues The vehicle arrived 30 minutes late - not a big issue if you had let us know so we weren't waiting in reception for half an hour. The vehicle did not have enough seats for us and the guide which resulted in all 4 of us in the back. The quality of the vehicle was not what we have received on previous tours either. Samar did not engage our children at all. She did not ask them any questions and as a result, my wife had to entertain them whilst I struggled to listen to her. Her English was fine to explain things but really wasn't good enough when we asked her questions. She didn't project her voice at all so only one person could listen at a time. Towards the end of the tour, we said not to worry about dropping us back as we wanted to visit a museum. The museums are closed 2-5pm. I would have thought she'd know this. Yes we should have researched it as our guide book was out of date. To top it all off, she said she didn't really like her job as it was very hard. It's not really what we wanted to hear.

I had an amazing day on the Luxor tour! Our guide Oraby was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a great sense of humor, making the experience both educational and fun. He also took fantastic photos for us, capturing perfect moments at each site. The car we traveled in was spotless and comfortable, adding to the overall enjoyment. Highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Luxor!

This trip was amazing! Not only is Egypt beautiful, but our tour guides were very thoughtful, communicated local customs and decorum, and provided a custom experience for a group of 16 people. I was impressed by their knowledge and overall fun experience. 10/10 would recommend!

I just completed an 8 day trip to Egypt and had the pleasure of being guided by Alladin, Mohamed and Tonsi. Great care was taken to answer all questions while ensuring safe travel for our group of 15. Emu Tours certainly made this a trip of a lifetime.

About my experience with this company, Imo, unfortunately I did not expect this. We booked the Saqqara Pyramid. The reservation included entrance tickets and the reservation included lunch. When we received the tour guide, he told us that the reservation did not include entrance tickets and did not include lunch.

The driver from EMO tours never showed up after the company telling me he was on his way for 2 hours. Ruined my entire day. I got a full refund and text message that said “sorry.” No reason whatsoever. Have a Plan “B” if you decide to book with these amateurs.

The driver was great, very helpful and polite. The guide wasn't very interested. I got a brief overview of what we saw and left to it, with 15 mins average time to spend at each location, not the one hour noted in the details. Other guides went with their groups inside to the areas, mine stayed outside for all except one location. Just felt more enthusiasm would have been nice. I wouldn't recommend this as for one person was expensive, but the driver was really great.

Very disappointing experience for the hefty price paid. First, communication was very difficult with the organising company, they did not answer our questions and did not communicate a clear schedule and programme for the boat tour. Second, the boat was supposedly recently renovated but it was in poor conditions, the cabin was smelly, the sheets we slept in were overused, everything on the boat felt old and used. Third, the guide that they gave us was barely able to answer our basic questions on the monuments or egyptology...and fourth, they kept on rushing us to do our temple visits but in the end the boat was delayed and we missed all the cruising on the Nile between Esna and Luxor because we had to do it by night. No compensation offered. Overall a very poor experience that I would not recommend. Only positive is the food that was good.

We were very fortunate to have Mr Ahmed as our consulting guide and advisor for our main touring schedule in Egypt (Abu Simbel, Aswan, Kom Ombo, Edfu, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatsheptut,Luxor and Karnak temples etc) from 17/1/24 -21/12/24. Mr Ahmed’s in-depth knowledge of Egyptian history, culture, customs, insight of the local area and his expertise in Egyptology enlightened us of various historical facts and local stories not found in any relevant books. Mr Ahmed was very friendly flexible , co operative, patient and responded to our various queries on various historic sites. We wish him the very best for future endeavours. I had an awful experience with this tour operator. Communication is a nightmare—there’s no way to speak with someone directly, as they only allow contact via WhatsApp. Even then, you get responses from different numbers, leading to endless confusion and forcing you to re-explain everything from scratch every single time. The problems didn’t end there. Just hours before my scheduled tour, they abruptly changed the itinerary, leaving me no choice but to reschedule for the following day. Then, on the actual day of the tour, I arrived to discover that what was supposed to be a private tour was, in fact, a group tour. When I raised these issues with them, their response was incredibly rude and dismissive. They made no effort to address the inconvenience or offer any resolution. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Poor organization, misleading promises, and terrible customer service. Stay away!

Don't book with this agency!!! I have booked 3 tours with them (in the end none of them took place). The first one was to be scheduled in the afternoon, in the morning I still received a message about pickup time in the afternoon. Then later, I waited, ok 15 mins later I wrote to them, and they wrote they will check. 1 hour later still waiting with no response. Then after writing to them again, this message came: "The tour is not available today" With now being worried I wrote to them, one day before another tour should start, if they can confirm me that the tour takes place. No answer, and of course no one came to pick me up from my hotel. It would have been a tour with just a driver. So because of that, I decided to cancel the 3rd tour, that was 3 days before its start. And yes, no response that they would cancel it. I requested the refund for all 3 tours again, at least it seems it's in progress.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST DAYS OF MY LIFE. Mohamed Hamed, Alladin and Tonsi are very accommodating and very Informative. I can’t wait to come back and link up with them
