I highly recommend booking a tour here for your trip to Cairo. Our guide Mimmo gave us everything you could ask for in our 2 day tour of Cairo including a pyramid visit, camel ride, museum tour, and tour of a mosque and church. Mimmo is extremely friendly and informative whilst still allowing time to explore at your leisure to ensure you are not overwhelmed with information. Not to mention he is a brilliant photographer and gives you photos to last a liftetime!

Mimmo is an amazing guide! He is so knowledgable and takes the best photographs! My husband and I are so happy to have photographs in Egypt together as normally we have no one to take them. He made everything so easy and we felt so safe. He also included many extras on our guides and ensured we had most of the day after our tours to rest. The best guide whilst in Cairo

This tour was a fabulous experience! I'm so glad I made it to the AMAZING cave church, and garbage city was also SUPER interesting. I was well treated by both the driver and the tour guide, who were both valuable for explaining what I saw. I would have given FIVE stars, except my pick-up was later than expected.

Had an absolutely amazing private 8 day tour with Cleopatra Tours. We travelled the length and breadth of the country with visits to Cairo, Aswan, Luxor and Hurgadha. All the tour guides we had were amazing, friendly, extremely knowledgeable with a passion for explaining the history and background to everything and most importantly, totally flexible to suite our needs and itinerary. Special shout out to Franco (tour guide in Cairo) and Basem (tour guide for Abu Simbel and Nubian Village in Aswan) who spent over 12 hours with us on a very packed itinerary and were very patient, polite and kind. Transport arrived on time or earlier on every single day and cars were very comfortable. I would totally recommend this company to book your egypt tours.

Amazing tour with Mimmo!!! He was very welcoming and informative. Lots of fresh juices and the best falafel I have ever eaten at lunch- all sourced by him. The car was very comfortable and great value for money! Would 100% recommend.

The tour was amazing when I travelled with my family in January 2024. But I requested for best hotels in city locations which was not provided to me even after promising me. The payment was also done by me for that. This creates a little dissatisfaction in us.

I stumbled across Cleopatra Tours because I wanted 1) a private tour and 2) they were well priced. I contacted 2 companies and Cleopatra’s pricing, flexibility and communication responses won me over. And after reading reviews I felt more confident. I review every company and location when I travel because I think travellers should have access to as much information as possible. In short, Cleopatra’s services were excellent; not perfect but excellent and I will provide some details. Booking Process: I have never had a smoother, easier and more confident booking process. I have never had a company respond within 12hrs by email and answered all my questions and updated the itinerary every time without asking. It felt like we were working on a project together and it was meant to reflect what we wanted. Lots of things came up re: tips, currency, VISAs (Canadian has a different situation at the time) and they answered everything and were upfront about costs and options. I am also a detailed and heavy planner so this was perfect for me. Communication: Having said that, there were some areas where as an over-planner I wanted more details like lunch and timing but it was a private tour and the drivers/guides did anything we wanted (within reason) and Cleopatra responded to anything we wanted while on tour. Daily they would send us a welcome message and responded to anything we wanted in terms of feedback etc. And the fact that Cleopatra is very open to feedback means they care about the customer’s experiences. Itinerary/Tours: I took some daily itineraries for what they were and some I planned out in more detail. All of them were very well done as we customized our tour. I will point out the ones that I thought did not meet my expectations. Al-Muizz Street and Khan El Khalili was a bit disappointing to me because I did not know what to expect and it felt a bit rushed. I do think this was more of the guide and he did suggest some things for us to do while we were there but we did not feel like it so perhaps that is what those locations had to offer and we were just not interested. Fayoum Oasis I felt was not worth the day trip. Perhaps the itinerary could reflect some more things to see and do there. I also envisioned Saqqara to have a few more things to see and do given its significant site. With those in mind, here are the ones that exceeded my expectations: Camel ride in Giza. We were dead set against riding camels given that we heard they were not treated well but our guide took us to certified vendors and the camels were feeding and rested and it was a great experience. El Bahariya Oasis was absolutely amazing. The landscape and service from the tour was incredible and the overnight camping and excursion was memorable. Edfu temple and Philae Temple were amazingly well done and well organized. Guides/Drivers: One must expect drivers in Egypt to have a certain way of driving. For some of us it can be scary. I got used to it quickly but our drivers would technically drive how you wanted. The guides ranged from excellent to OK. This is one area where we did not speak up. Cairo guide was OK as we felt he did not explain as much as we assumed. Personable and friendly for sure but I think I expected more from him. Alexandria guide was amazing. She was helpful and friendly and made our day there memorable. Aswan guide was my personal favourite. He was a great storyteller and was engaging snd super helpful and friendly. Edfu guide was my husband’s favourite. Entertaining, friendly and spent a long time with us to go through the entire temple in detail. Luxor guide was most disappointing because he was 1) sick and we were genuine concerned for him, he should have stayed at home 2) did not speak loud (perhaps from being sick?) so even with just 2 of us it was hard to hear him and 3) smoked around us. The overnight camping guide was decent but was not very informative but the driver and guide worked very hard and efficient in providing us with an amazing experience while camping. Overall the communication between the guides/drivers and Cleopatra was very good. We had preferences and the guides that day confirmed what we wanted when we told Cleopatra previously. Troubleshooting: Nothing goes perfect and the most important thing is the company dealing and avoiding issues when they arise. I would say Cleopatra basically tackled EVERY issue that came up with an acceptable resolution and kept that level of service throughout. If we brought up any preference they made sure it occurred. When we brought up an incident regarding safety, they fixed it the same day and then ensured it never occurred again. Having said that, they can only fix what they know so my comment before regarding the guide, they did not know so I cannot blame them. Nor if a flight was delayed, I cannot blame them. But communication and feedback is a two-way street so if you are diligent with communication they can fix anything. Our flight was delayed and I did not want our driver who was waiting to pick us up on arrival to wait so I messaged Cleopatra and we kept in touch until we took off so we did not waste our driver’s time waiting on arrival. Or if we could not find our pickup driver we messaged Cleopatra and they contacted the driver to find us. Value: Egypt is technically an inexpensive country to travel and visit overall and we travelled during peak season during Christmas. Personally I do not think we overpaid for what we got as from the quotes I received for a private tour, Cleopatra was the best priced and allowed us to customize everything we wanted and told us the costs. Payment and confirmation was super easy and transparent. So if you want a cheaper private tour I did not find one and for the level of service we got, I was happy with. One thing to note is we booked our own accommodations so we did not stay in Cleopatra’s suggested locations because we had hotel points to use etc. So I cannot comment on their accommodations options. But where we personally stayed we had a good experience overall. Lastly, having a SIM card and way to text to Cleopatra during the trip was invaluable. It made communication for pick ups, locations, feedback a breeze. So why 5/5 given some of my feedback here? Because I believe many of the issues we had were not deal breakers and no trip can go perfectly. And we do not expect perfection given how we travel and are very accute and aware of situations. So with that, I would recommend Cleopatra Tours to anyone.

We just had the best family trip in Egypt with Cleopatra Tours. The tour was very well organized and gave us room for flexibility. Franco, our guide, and Mohammed, our driver, did an excellent job with taking us through all the sites - the Pyramids, Khan El Khalili, Museums, Alexandria. Franco was energetic, knowledgeable and did his best to accommodate all the needs of our group. We would highly recommend Cleopatra tours and Franco as he was a great guide!
