About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Angelique M0 contributionsGo inside in you’re not claustrophobicThe pyramids were amazing and so was our guide. We rode a camel in the BACK OF THE PYRAMIDS to get a better view. Strongly recommend. The boy with the camels was kind of rude and tried to haggle his tip to an ridiculous amount. Watch out for that. They think if they take your photo they deserve $20. It’s be funny if it wasn’t so absurd.Written 20 January 2023
- rschagrin0 contributionsAn Experiencedefinitely worth trying once. A little tough mounting the camel. An interesting way to see the pyramids. The ride is a little bumpy due to the ground.Written 7 November 2019
- cpm7560 contributionsDesert couchesTake the camel ride. It is like riding a couch. No kidding. Get away fro the crowd and enjoy the view. Well worth the 300EP for an hour. Don’t let the guide cut it short though. He will try. “Are you ready to go back now”. Just say no.Written 4 June 2019
- Jewelsworld0 contributions"Sunset" NOT rideFortunately, I've ridden camels in the Sahara Dessert for an amazing sunset experience and raced camels through the Wadi Rum in Jordan complete with a tent in a Bedouin camp. My husband was all excited to experience a sunset camel ride and this was unbelievably disappointing for him. And me too. We arrived at the rendezvous point over 3 hours before sunset which was quite perplexing in itself knowing that the ride was supposed to last merely an hour. My husband was put on a howling camel full of bloody running sores and covered in flies. The camel yowled and protested the entire time, keeping her nose pointed toward the sky. I had requested a horse thinking it would be fun to gallop across the dessert sands on a different kind of animal for a change. We had to wait quite awhile until it became apparent that though we'd called several hours ahead, there were no available horses. After half an hour, a young man trotted around the corner on a bony mare. The poor horse was so skinny that her hip bones stuck out like wings. Each time her handler stepped away to allow me free rein, she panicked and cried. Literally cried. It was pitiful. He had to lead her the entire way. I grew up with my own horses and it's obvious that this horse was not used to another rider. The route we took for our sunset view of the pyramids was through piles of garbage with quad bikes roaring past us every few seconds causing both animals to sidle and shy. We were far from the pyramids and they were completely back-lit by the sun that was still quite high in the sky so we didn't even get a pretty view. The view toward the Steppe Pyramid far in the distance was actually better. We were out exactly 30 minutes and then led right back to our starting point with two hours yet to go before sunset. We had a car and driver for the day and I have no idea what company they arranged this ride with. We ended up at a restaurant where they gave us some good mint tea. The weather was cold and windy with blowing sand and since there was another hour and a half to go before sunset, we asked to be taken back to our hotel. So much for a romantic sunset ride. How disappointing, especially for my husband who was really looking forward to this experience. I don't even know with whom to be upset.Written 19 May 2019
- shaliyam0 contributionsCamel rideThis was very nice experience and enjoyed lot. Once we start the journey feel that this is Amazing. We recommend who ever visiting Cairo should go to camel ride.Written 13 May 2019
- bspoxon0 contributionsMemphis ToursThis company was excellent. Prompt to reply and reliable, the service was of a high standard. Robert, our guide, was so knowledgeable about Egypt and lots more, and taught us so much, and Abdul, our driver, was kind and calm in the midst of chaotic Cairo traffic. Would recommend them fully.Written 16 April 2019
- narayang090 contributionsWalk down of history is the most authentic wayBest way to experience the Giza pyramids: 1) Reach the entrance of the Giza Pyramids ticket counter and buy the relevant tickets. Do not negotiate with any guide / tour operator before buying the tickets. 2) Enter the premises and there are dime a dozen guides. Negotiate well for an all inclusive package i.e. camel ride, entrance to all pyramids and his gratifications / tip. Else at every step there are venue caretakers who come and ask for gratitude . 3) Usually it's 3-4 hour tour but make the most of it by taking your time as the venue is open only til 4pm. Request the guide to take you to Khofu, Sphinx and even other historic places within the premises 4) at the end, all guides take the tourist to pre-selected shops for perfume and papyrus painting. Bargain straight 70-80% as the prices are high and include the guides commission. Make sure to start the tour by 9:30-10 am to get maximum time with the Pyramids.Written 7 January 2019
- Ann-Marie G0 contributionsWhat an experience!Took a camel ride to visit the pyramids. It is an out a movie experience. You must know how to deal with the camel riders because prices are not fixed. Negotiate. If one seems to expensive go to the next and get very specific of what you want and for how much. One can charge over $50 for 30 min. ride while another one would charge you 10 0r 15 dollars!Written 2 January 2019
- valantom0 contributionsRide with camelsWe went in Giza and took a camel for a ride! It very beautiful BUT they are thiefs. They have a label that says 100 egypt pounds per person and they didnt leave ut to go down from the camel until we pay them. And finally they took us 900 egypt pounds. Do not say them that you have dollars or euros. They will not leave you until you give them all the money you have. I am pregnant and they just ignored me and they askes for even more money. It is better to go walking instead to trust those thiefs.Written 30 November 2018
- danadayne0 contributionsSimply marvelousWe had an 8 hour day tour in Cairo that was all we dreamed of bc of our tour guide Zenab Hanafy. Zenab contacted me the day before to make sure everything was ok. Then she came to the hotel and had to find us bc we were still at breakfast. She made sure we did all the stops, made sure we didn’t get hassled and knows sooooo much about Cairo’s history and where to get whatever you need Including food. Zenab made our trip so more enjoyable and we will be thankful for life.Written 24 November 2018

- nkhlaw0 contributionsShe made us feel safe!I really really appreciated having Samara as our tour guide!! She knew exactly what our worries would be and led us through the safest areas of the city to ensure our security. I also appreciated that she would give us tips on the best places to go to buy to get the best price but in safe areas. I appreciated the fact that she was very honest about our tour and what we would encounter. She was extremely knowledgeable, spoke great English, and answered to my curiosity's satisfaction. She was very mindful about food precautions and led us to a restaurant with food only cooked in mineral water so that we wouldn't get sick (which has happened to us in other tours). She also was very patient as we were a big group with unique needs. Excellent tour, and one of the best tour guides I've ever seen.Written 3 September 2017
