I would highly recommend using Holiday in Egypt Travels if you visit Egypt. Egypt can be logistically challenging to get around (given traffic, amount of people trying to do things for you for tips, getting through the airport, etc.) Madeline made it very easy to navigate all of these challenges. The biggest call out that I will say is Madeline being proactive (I booked the trip about a month in advance of going and Madeline contacted me via Whatsapp within a day of booking.) she was extremely helpful in customizing an itinerary for us and took the time to make recommendations so that we were able to maximize the time there. Just to give you the idea of the type of person she is - my luggage was unfortunately delayed on the flight into Egypt (completely a snafu of British Air and nothing to do with Madeline .) Madeline let me borrow three of his shirts during the days that we were waiting for my luggage. I did not expect that at all and it just goes to show how much her cares for her guests. All of Madeline 's associates were excellent - we spent three days in Cairo with the same Egyptologist and Driver. Ehab (Egyptologist) - Extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all of the sites and museums that we visited. We learned so much from him and were so impressed with the depth of information that he was able to provide about so many things. Ajmed (Driver) - Always right on time to pick us up / drop us off and very friendly. He made sure that we always had waters, were comfortable, and he was a super impressive driver given the challenging traffic situation in Cairo. Given that you will likely spend multiple days with people who you are just meeting and relying on to take you around, I can honestly say how happy I was that I used Madeline 's company ( Holiday in Egypt Travels .) Everything we set up went off without a hitch and I'm so glad that we were able to spend our time there with such friendly people.

Starting with the negative experience first, as it is important for folks to know this before booking the tour group. I would rate this a low-moderate ranking tour group, because: 1.⁠ ⁠Overpricing: They offer the basic tour for $1400, and gave us a 50% discount to make it 700$, which was the correct price (as compared to other operators). However, all of the optional tours are 3X priced. Specifically, the Hot Air Balloon (second ride after sunrise) which is available for $40 is being charged for $120. Similarly, you get Abu Simbel tours for half the price (they charged 100$, whereas it would be only ~60$). I would recommend booking same optional tours directly via other operators on Trip Advisor to get the same experience at 1/3rd of price. The Nubian Village Tour priced at 40$ per person was not worth it at all. We paid 360$ for a group of 9 and we should’ve barely paid 30$ in total. 2.⁠ ⁠Inconsistent Guide Quality: Anas, our tour guide for Day 3-6, was average. I was uncertain if he was an officially recognized tour guide as he neither explained the interiors of temple complexes nor had specific insight into these sights (except for the basic information that is already available via. a quick google search). 3.⁠ ⁠Poor customer service: When we shared feedback on Day 5 night (about the bad experiences of Day 3-5), the operator Alaa Abdou, who met us to alleviate our concerns actually aggravated it. He was condescending and disrespectful leading to an overall poor travel experience with the tour operator. 4.⁠ ⁠Unnecessary tipping: The tour company recommended exorbitant tips to drivers, ship crew, etc. This is unnecessary as we are already over paying for the package which should mean the staff get fairly paid. Please make your own decision and tip as appropriate. Positives: 1.⁠ ⁠Egypt is definitely a land of massive and unreal structures. It's hard to imagine how pyramids and temples of such sheer scale were built thousands of ages ago! It's important to know that Egypt tourism is highly commercialized and the locals often try to scam you (and bargain is the norm!). 2.⁠ ⁠Taher, our overall organizer was super helpful with transportation & stay. He was approachable from Day 1 and even bought us local SIMs. He helped quickly arrange transportation to airport on Day 7 when we had communication gaps. 3.⁠ ⁠Similarly, our tour guide for Day 2, Sohaila, was also knowledgeable & friendly. She gave detailed history & insights about the pyramids, gave us enough time for photos. She even quickly pivoted our lunch restaurant when she knew we had been there already on Day 1.

For starters, Madeline is exceptional. Everything from communication to itinerary was perfect. All my guides and drivers also top notch! With my favorites being Ahmed, Ashraf, & Kerolos. This was a solo trip and I had issues with my phone but I never felt alone or worried about anything. I plan to revisit next year with my kids and will without a doubt use Holiday in Egypt. This was the trip of a lifetime and it wouldn’t have been possible without them! Everyone was very kind and patient. My cruise was also a good time and had good food. I rate my entire experience 10/10, 5 stars, A+! Thank you everyone!

I just finished the 7 day Queen cleopatra experience with holiday in Egypt. I had a wonderful time traveling with this company. Going into the trip I was slightly unsure about the safety of traveling in Egypt as a young woman alone, but my fears were entirely unfounded. For the duration of my trip they were there for me at all times to make sure everything about my stay was going smoothly and I can genuinely say that at no point did I feel unsafe or stressed about anything, knowing they were taking care of everything I needed. Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan are all incredible cities and I saw some of the most incredible sights of my life. My guide for Cairo, Sohaila, was incredible and so knowledgeable about everything we saw as well as passionate about the subjects she spoke on. Our guide for the other part of the trip, Ahmed, was absolutely wonderful too. He consistently went above and beyond anything I would expect from a guide to make sure that each one of us on the tour had an absolutely seamless experience. If you do choose to book with holiday in Egypt, I hope you have him as well because I can promise your time with be amazing. From organizing trips and transportation to educating us on the wonders of ancient Egypt he truly exceeded my every expectation. As an organization I would also say that Holiday in Egypt certainly made an impression on me. They were easy to reach, and also very proactive when it came to checking in to make sure my experience was going well, and to arrange things like transportation to and from the airport or to the hotel. In particular I want to mention Tahmer, who was the person I was in contact with from holiday in Egypt, for everything he did and for making sure I got everywhere I needed to go safely and on time. He took care of everything, so I didn’t have to! If you’re thinking about booking your trip to Egypt I hope you consider booking through them, I promise you wont regret it.

I usually avoid guided tours but thought it is a good idea for touring Egypt. I emailed several companies based in Egypt, and Holiday in Egypt provided the most punctual and professional communication. Madeline handled our booking, and she was readily available for discussions. She provided all necessary information to plan our trip. She was flexible to build up an itinerary that best suited our requirements as well. We had private tours with our own driver, guide and van. Drivers were punctual and everything happened on time without delays. Guides were very good as well, specially Ehab in Cairo and Ahmad in Luxor. Madeline got us on board an awesome cruise as well. We were on board MS Rennaisance which has been recently refurbished. I wouldn't give anything less than 5 stars for the services of Madeline and Holiday in Egypt. They can be trusted and they deliver what they promise.

Had an experience of a lifetime thanks to holiday in Egypt Travels! I decided to do a last min full packed 5 night trip to Egypt. And wanted to see all the historic sites in a shot time. Booking 1-2 weeks prior to our trip. Usually such a last min it’s hard to book anything. But they sorted everything out. From flights to guides to the Nile cruise boat for 3 nights 4 days. The. Back to Cairo for a half day pyramid trip before our flight back home. Was fully loaded. Fully educated and something that must be done at least once in your life. Thank you again for it all!

We booked a last-minute trip to Egypt, and the agency provided full assistance on the entire journey. From our cruise from Luxor to Aswan to all flights and transfers, everything was covered by the agency, which was always helpful and supportive. They also arranged for guides in Cairo and Giza, making our trip even more enriching. Considering it was a last-minute trip, everything went smoothly, even with changing guides and drivers in each city, which actually enhanced our experience, allowing us to see Egypt through the eyes of different locals. All of our guides were punctual, professional, and experts in Egyptology, giving us detailed insights into the incredible wonders we were seeing. We were also well-informed about any potential concerns and felt safe all the time during the trip. The agency did an excellent job of ensuring that, despite the short notice, we had an unforgettable experience. This was an amazing time and we are already looking forward to visiting Egypt again.

The trip was something to remember, arrangements were very good, the program was extra loaded in the front but was amazing , Madeline was easy to access at anytime to solve any glitch. We did have a few glitches but overall the trip was well planned out.

Perfect way to see Egypt without having to stress about accommodation, transport, where to eat etc. We felt so looked after by everyone and the communication and organisation from the team was seamless. We were very happy with our Holiday in Egypt tour. Madeline was so patient, flexible and accommodating with all requests before and during the tour. She was great at communicating and always around to answer any of our questions promptly. Our 7 day tour included all the necessary highlights in Egypt and we were given great guides at each sight. The MS Semiramis II cruise organised through our tour was a little less clean than we had expected and unfortunately had no WiFi during our stay, however the sights were incredible along the Nile and we felt incredibly lucky to be able to experience it!

We booked the Aswan-Luxor cruise directly with the Holidays in Egypt agency. Everything was smooth, we got answers to all our questions before booking and the transactions were very clear. We are a couple travelling by ourselves but we felt safe everywhere. Ms Madeline Endrawis was so kind and assisted us throughout our journey. Everything was perfectly organized, even though there were a lot of people involved, like guides and drivers in each stop. (An e-sim or Egyptian Sim card and number that you can get upon arriving will definitely help you, you can get one at any Voda phone or Orange store for ~4 $, with plenty of minutes and data for your trip). The cruise is stunning, you will enjoy the Nile views and the monuments, the food on the ship is great (with many vegan options too) and everyone is an experienced professional. At certain places like Aswan or Edfu, your guides will recommend local shops for souvenirs. You can kindly decline if you are not interested or visit and buy something. Be prepared for some tipping for drivers and guides as it is the local habit. Having some small banknotes ready before your visits at the monuments will make you feel more comfortable. Special thanks to our Luxor guide, Mr Ahmed, a joyous person that loves his work and explained in great detail all places we visited. We expected a short and fast round on the monuments but we got a thorough visit for many hours that left us amazed. Overall, fantastic experience and a really professional operator!

The trip was perfect planned, Madeline took care of every detail and answered all my questions. The driver who supposed to pick us up from the hotel was exactly early there which is ratio in Egypt :) The cruise was an amazing experience. The only thing I would say what made our trip little complicated was the fact that airline changed the tickets and the email was sent to the email of the travel agency but nobody informed us about the changes but it might be the email end up in spam. Once I found out or flight was changed from 6:30PM to 9:30PM I immediately contacted Madeline and she did her best to change the tickets. She changed for the flight departing at 8:00 PM and when the airline cancelled this flight again in the last minute, she immediately took action and rebooked us on the flight at 5:30PM. We had very less time to make this flight but because of Madeline and her organization we were still able to make the flight and arrived to Cairo much earlier than planned which we really appreciated. After this experience I would maybe change the last day, The last day was very hard because we visited all the places in Luxor in one day which was hard because the weather was hot during the day. If I would go again, I would choose to stay one more day in the hotel in Luxor and take the flight to Cairo on the next day.
