- nzimmerly0 contributionsTourist-experience focused guide offering polite recommendations one time (also fluent in the word "no")Sabaa was hands down the most professional guide of our trip. If you go to Egypt, you don't actually realize how good your guide was until the trip is over and you find out the basalt statue you purchased is filled with concrete or you paid 20x the average price of something. This trip was a great way for us to end our 9-day Egypt experience after spending 7 days in hectic and smoggy Cairo. Sabaa was honest with us from the start and didn't feed us the positive-spin nonsense of things that are clearly less-desirable in Egypt - i.e. ticket stampers at tomb entrances parading as "guides" that guilt you into a tip. If you spend a lot of time in Egypt, you want a guide who is looking out for YOUR best interests - Sabaa is exactly that. The best example of this was during our tour of the Valley of the Kings. Sabaa informed us that we didn't have to listen to the "Tomb Guide" since he was not allowed to enter. Our previous guide told us that we had to tip these "Guides" who truly diminish the experience as they shout their broken record of inaccurate historical facts at you. In one Tomb, a ticket stamper became irate after we refused his tour and Sabaa quickly put him in his place, allowing us to enjoy the tomb in PEACE! This may seem minut but as a tourist, but having a guide that keeps the hounding shopkeepers and other aggressive salesmen was a breath of fresh air thanks to Sabaa. Some guides will run you up and down the wall about shops you HAVE to visit or other experiences they get commissions on. As a tourist, you want recommendations but you don't want to be constantly pitched things you politely refused the first time - Sabaa politely offered recommendations in gentle and professional manner. This was another breath of fresh air after another guide took us to a papyrus store and a park after politely declining both of them. Egypt tourism contains a lot of bad aspects that dull the experience and guides can either contribute to that dullness or show you the parts of Egypt that shine unlike any place in the world. Sabaa was such a bright ray of sunshine, the Pharaoh's would've mistaken him for the Pyramids - if you don't get this joke after seeing the pyramids, find a better guide.Written 14 December 2020
- davidmm19950 contributionsAmazing experience and great host!We did this felucca trip on February and it was an amazing experience! Sabaa was a great host and made the trip an unforgettable experience. Really recommended if you want to experience the beauty of the Nile on sunset.Written 15 November 2020
- AussiePerth90 contributionsThe Best experience ever!I have been on the Luxor-Nile River-Valley of the Kings tour. It was the best tour I have ever been on...and I have been on a lot!!! The boat was really comfortable and clean, all staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was great - and plentiful! Each day a land tour of the important temples was available: the guide that accompanied these groups was very knowledgeable, being a trained Egyptologist, and was able to impart this knowledge. Extra care was taken to accommodate the individual needs of each member of the group. My recommendation:GO ON THIS TOUR. You will have a wonderful time and certainly won't regret your decision! THANK YOU, KARNAK TOURS!Written 24 January 2020
- jmholder0 contributionsFantastic tour companyI first met alsaba January 2018. I had the great pleasure of spending 4 days with him. I was a solo traveller. I did most of what luxor had to offer with him. I did a day trip to abydos and dendera (Amazing), also a day trip to edfu and kom ombo, also a nile sunset tour. I met him as a client and we parted as friends. So much so that I returned again October 2019 he took my around again with my cousin and friend to the west bank. He is such a knowledgeable guide. He tells you so much more than the basics. You can tell he loves his job. He organised everything for us and it was seamless. From bus station pickup and a breakfast and then our tour. Nothing is too much trouble for alsaba. I highly recommend booking a tour with him. Do Egypt, do it well and do it with alsaba. I'll be back again and we'll take tea again. My friend.Written 17 January 2020
- raycarthew0 contributionsIt doesn’t get any better than this!!Oh boy, what an amazing experience. From the moment we were picked up from Cairo airport our tour guide Alsaba had every available moment filled with adventure, insight, laughter and friendship to last a lifetime. My wife and I initially held reservations about traveling through Egypt as a part of our European holiday and it turned out to be our favourite destination by far. The Egyptian people are so welcoming and friendly although you do need to prepare yourself for a great deal of begging while out and about which can be a little confronting, Alsaba soon taught us how to reply in Egyptian which worked a treat. The cruise down the Nile was quite the adventure and the ship itself was very luxurious and the staff extremely friendly and hospitable. You can not prepare yourself for the absolute wonderment of the pyramids, they really do take your breath away! However I would not recommend the evening light show as it was a bit pricey for what it was. Overall this was a great experience that will remain with us for years to come. Much thanks to Karnak tours for such a well planned out tour and to Alsaba for being so kind and sharing your wonderful country with us, we hope to return again someday.Written 13 January 2020
- gaynorm1360 contributionsEgypt in 10 days - Trip of a lifetimeThis was an amazing trip with too many highlights to mention on them all. Alsabahi’s is an outstanding tour guide, who’s passion for all things Egypt is contagious! He was extremely organised and insightful, we felt so spoilt by his knowledge which he eagerly shared with us. Our private tour began in Aswan Boarding a 5 night Nile River cruise aboard the MS Livingstone luxury cruise ship to Aswan. Our tour highlights included an early morning hot air balloon ride across the Valley of the kings, every moment aboard the MS Livingstone, a day trip to Abu Simbel (well worth the 3 hour drive from Aswan) and 4 unforgettable days in busy Cairo including visiting the pyramids, Sphinx, temples, Blue Mosque, markets and so much more. And the food was absolutely delicious so be prepared to go up a clothing size while you’re there. I can say with all honesty there is no possible way this tour could be improved upon. Alsabah took great care of myself and my three teenage children, this was most definitely a trip of a lifetime and should be a must do on everyone’s bucket list!!! Can’t thank you enough Karnak Tours!!Written 12 January 2020
