          An Experience
My daughter and I spent 4 day, 3 night sailing the Nile on the MS Nile Premium from Aswan to Luxor. This was booked through Intrepid. Our tour guide mentioned that this boat was supposed to be one of the best………! We had a comfortable cabin (twin beds and bathroom), a little outdated, old and could have done with extra cleaning. The toilet was blocked when we checked in but was fixed once it was mentioned. The top deck had a small pool with deck chairs. Even though there weren’t many tourists all boats where still on the move at the same time. They dock in the same area and moored alongside each so a view out the cabin window is non-existent. All the boats are powered with diesel and unfortunately, fresh air was also non-existent. The lavish breakfast and buffet were however excellent. There was a jewellery shop (Nubia Jewels) onboard the boat and our tour guide mentioned that this was a government shop so we would be safe to buy however; I do not recommend. Three other couples from the tour, including ourselves, bought some jewellery from this shop and had major issues when picking up the jewellery from over charge, not what we ordered and a bank charge of 3.75% on top of the purchase. The latter was not mentioned at the time. We could have got the same jewellery at half the price from a Government Shop in Sonesta St George Hotel. I did complain the but no one wanted to know. We had excursions to many spectacular sights including the local markets and villages. Even though the boats are old we both had a great time and was an experience we will never forget.

Nice Tours ensured that we had a nice Nile tour
We booked our Nile cruise through Nice Tours and had Emil as tour guide. What a great combination and all went so smoothly and their communication regarding the logistics was great. Emil is such a great and well informed guide and assisted us with obtaining student tickets for our children at all sites.

Avoid MS Royal Viking at all costs!
Do not go on the MS Royal Viking! Terribly old, dirty, smelly, diesel particulates everywhere, dingy, etc etc. Bathroom had missing sealant, mould in places, sooty vent, rusty waste bin, limescale on shower head. Out of date certificates on show. Staff weren’t great, food was average. Can’t see out of the windows when docked because of other boats being moored alongside. Go to the top deck and you can’t enjoy that either because of diesel fumes.

          Regret
MS Emilio. Do not reccomend. The ship way past it's expirey. Got very sick. The massage and photo staff hassle you even on the ship. You can't get a break. The food was horrible!! I honestly give the ship 1 star. Our last night we woke up to the top deck dumping building material into the nile. The air is filthy with fumes. I would skip Eygpt.

          Nice Sonesta Moon Goddess cruise
We took the four-day/three-night Nile River cruise from Aswan to Luxor aboard the Sonesta Moon Princess, which is categorized as an "ultra-luxury" ship. The ship is very nice and has what I believe to be an itinerary very similar to most of the other 400 Nile cruise ships going from Aswan to Luxor. We chose the Moon Goddess because it is one of the few Nile cruise ships that has cabins with a balcony, however small that balcony may be. Our cabin (typically small as on most Nile cruise ships) on the 4th deck, the food, the decor, and the service were all very good. There was some Nubian entertainment one evening before dinner and a belly dancer and whirling dervish dancer another evening. As is typical, the ship ties up alongside other ships, sometimes four deep, at the limited docking space, at night and cruises during part of the two full days, so while docked your view might be of another ship just a very few feet away. The scenery is lovely along much of the route and we spent most of our cruising time on the top deck, which has a sunny pool area with lounge chairs and a shaded area with tables and chairs. The ship has a very small shop, a spa where you can get a massage, and a couple of exercise machines. We had booked a private guide through our tour company and he stayed on the ship the entire time except when taking us on tours at all of the stops. Many other ships have the same itinerary and are at the same stops as the Moon Goddess, so our tour sights were usually quite crowded. We enjoyed the cruise and I recommend the Sonesta Moon Goddess.

Unless you go 'All Inclusive' water is chargeable. In heat of 40c+ water was denied for us in a cabin unless payment was made, around £1.25 for a bottle. And you need lots of bottles!! As an elderly person I queried it and stipulated that in hot countries - India for example - water was given freely in hotels and coach trips. Not on this boat! 'It's the system' I was told. However, a crew member came to our rescue and assisted us. Water is chargeable on all tours too and never included with breakfast boxes on early trips. .Coffee & tea is only 'free' with breakfast in the restaurant. The boat is filthy, floors aren't washed in the cabins, drapes are covered in dust, fridge not plugged in due to lack of sockets (it didn't work anyway!) When staff used the vacuum cleaner, I could see it sucked up nothing from the carpets . Wine glasses smeared, (never been in a dishwasher), crockery is mostly chipped or cracked. Don't go on this boat. Don't lose cabin key either £5 charge if you do.

          Never made the trip.
I never got to do this cruise. They knew when I booked that I am blind and I travel with a Service Dog. After I made my final payment, suddenly, their hotels will not accept my dog, nor will their chartered air. I call foul. If you are handicapped and you rely on a Service Dog for vision, hearing or other, steer way clear of anything Viking. THis was supposed to be an Egypt Cruise of the Nile, with pre stops in Cairo and post trip in Jordan.

Wonderful time on Sonesta Moon Goddess
Wonderful atmosphere due to the crew and they are very friendly and prompt. Food was outstanding, even for me as a vegetarian. Organisation was excellent and very knowledgeable tour guide ( but he certainly did us no favours when the tour stopped at an alabaster and onyx factory, but that was to his advantage, not Sonesta Moon Goddess). The room was very clean and welcoming and we paid for and had a wonderful view. Very well priced cruise.

WE HAD A FAB TRIP ON THE 'N/S NILE STYLE' CRUISE BOAT!!
From the minute we arrived onboard until the minute we left we had an absolutely wonderful time! Everything was brilliant!! It is a lovely boat with lots of period features, our Cabin was well equipped and comfy, the Crew were so friendly and caring, the food was amazing with a very varied choice every day of freshly prepared tasty options and the desserts were to die for!! Everything was very well organised and the Staff treated us like old friends who always made time to be sociable with us. The wifi was a bit hit and miss and there was little onboard entertainment BUT considering that the 2 events that were organised were so very poorly attended it seems it is not what most guests want after a long day of having been out on Excursions. OVERALL WE HAD AN ABSOLUTELY FAB TIME & WE CANNOT THANK THE CREW ENOUGH!! THE 'NILE STYLE' IS VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Nile cruise is a must !! Go for sonesta star goddess!!
Excellent cruise! Highly recommend if you are in Cairo. We selected sonesta star goddess as recommended by our friends. We sailed from Aswan to Luxor 3 nights and 4 days. Good service, friendly staff and clean rooms. Buffets were very good. This cruise has balconies which we wanted and is a must if you want to relax in your room and enjoy cool breeze. I would recommend late February to early March as weather is perfect for outdoor tours and activities.

MS Princess Sarah, A ridiculous accident caused by poor facilities, and ignorance of compensation for damage
I went to Aswan via Cairo and took a nile cruise with MS Princess Sarah from 6th to 9th January. I boarded the ship with great expectations, but on the first day on board, I was involved in a ridiculous accident. At the time of the accident, while waiting in front of the restaurant for dinner, the wife was sitting on a chair in a small bar. The chair, she later found, had been glued together with her legs broken off. There was no broken chair and no warning signs to alert us to an accident. We didn't play around with the chair or do anything unnecessary, but she had the absolutely unimaginable accident of falling on her back while trying to sit on the chair. At the time of the accident, the small bar had two employees, who witnessed the situation. However, when the accident happened, instead of helping, it disappeared and only appeared after about 10 minutes.Due to the pain and dizziness caused by the bump, we had to abandon the trip to Abu Simbel the next day. But MS Princess Sarah's manager said that the medical expenses were paid and no other compensation could be made. Those medical bills were MS Princess Sarah's fault, not ours.

I recently returned from a weeks Nile cruise (from Luxor to Aswan and back) with my husband and we both had an amazing time.
We were unsure whether it would be the type of holiday for us as we are not 'cruise' people, but I can honestly say that it one of the best experiences of my life!!
The atmosphere on the MS Jamila was laid back and friendly, 140 guests of many ages and nationalities. However, there was lots of space on board so always the chance to find a quiet spot to relax.
The cabins were well laid out with adequate wardrobe space and bathrooms and full length picture windows to watch the world go by.
The food (full board) was delicious and varied and the service and friendliness of all the staff was great.
Like most of the travellers on board, we had a full excursion package provided by Meeting Point Egypt so we were guided round the historic attractions by our amusing and very informative guide, Mohammed Abdou.
The excursions usually took up half a day, leaving plenty of time for relaxation.
Unlike a traditional cruise, there was no boredom while on the move as there were constantly things to look at on the riverbanks as we drifted along.

We sailed from Luxor to Aswan on Aggressor Nile Cruise’s Nile Queen and had a truly wonderful time. We had a gem of a tour guide and the boat’s crew are just the best! Just 16 of us friends in 8 cabins for 5 nights — couldn’t have planned it better. Can’t go wrong with good, hot buffet spreads and unli-beverage (wine, beer, vodka, soda, juices) 3x a day. Daily offshore excursions to the major sites too with a private tour guide. They even arranged a Bedouin barbeque night in an island off the Nile one night. Life on the boat was so comfortable in its slow, unhurried way. Drinking coffee at the deck waiting for sunrise or cooling your heels with a beer or a glass of wine watching the sunset is such a treat. For sure, we’d recommend this Nile Cruise.

Great sights and excursions well worth a visit.
Only few gripes are the room slightly dated so we had to get a new safe, toilet fixed, mirror falling off the wall.
These were fixed quite quickly. And the staff were very accommodating and helpful.
Everyone got a 24hr bug so be very careful about washing teeth with tap water, or showering and taking in any tap water. Use hand sanitiser to cut down contamination, and try not to eat anything that is washed.
The wifi is extortionate if possible buy a sim data card from a phone shop in Hurghada or Luxor, where you can get a 10gb sim for around £10. Whatapp is usable for talking and file sharing but you have to use messenger to make calls.
If you get the MS Emilio you have to have a massage with "Sesore", he was excellent best body massage I have ever had.
Overall it is our 2nd cruise, last time was 16years ago, and this one was as great as last time. If you can afford it the excursion to Abu Simbel, and the balloon ride is well worth it. Can't say the same about the light show, found it a bit disappointing.
I nile cruise is not relaxing cruise but it will be an experience that will stay with you for the rest of your life, and you share a table with the same people every meal time which creates a great group of friends possibly for life.

Best cruise ive been on. Warm friendly staff and crew who were helpful and willing to ensure your trip was comfortable and enjoyable. Wonderful food, prepared fresh each day. Have their own water filtration system so there was no fear of eating salads fruit etc. Rooms were clean, comfortable and well fitted out. Guides were well informed and were happy to spend time at attractions you were interested.
        Highly recommend this cruise company.

Don't believe the MS Nile Style Web page. Many "includes are NOT included". For example only one .5 liter water per person is included. Ridiculous in the desert. Even water at meals is an extra charge. The is a pool . . . About 6" deep don't waste space in your suitcase for a swim suit. The rooms are freezing with no in room control (as indicated on the web page) . . . Staff response was "we can give you more blankets" with stunning indifference. Room is nice but lots of peeling paint and missing trim and sealant . . . All very worn. The is NO WORKING WIFI AT ALL do not believe the web page . . . NONE! again the suggestion was to buy a local sim card for our phones. Absolutely no gym either - none at all. Finally the gangway is swarmed with local children who are hyper aggressive to sell you a book mark for 5 euros. When you say no they get angry and the boat makes no effort to prevent this daily accosting. Finally to start we were rafted up inside 2 other boats all of whom walked through our boat to get to theirs. Both the other boats were nicer than the Nile . . . Really over sold . . . "Five star" billing on Egypt tour portal is not even close . . . Think three.

We had a perfect vacation, everything was wonderful. The guide Mustafa was not only a guide but also a friend. The ship was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The prices were very reasonable for both transfers and extra excursions. Muhammad Marghany always promptly responded to every message sent to him, and always solved any problems.

We had an excellent holidays for 11 days from Cairo including Nile cruise holidays on Ms Esplanade from Aswan to laxur and then 2 days in hargudha.
Our guide Ms. Rania and Mr.Ocean Ali were excellent and highly recommendable for group tourists.
They were so so cooperative along with other members of Nile Cruisers . We loved to have the company of Mr. Ali with us.
We would surely surely recommend Nile Cruisers and their holiday plans to our friends.

We did the weeks cruise on the Nile River from Luxor and back.
Our boat was the Emillio, it was lovely. The staff on the boat were lovely and very attentive. The food and drink was excellent and we had no complaints. Our room was lovely and quite spacious compared to cruise ship standards.
We had a great guide called Ahmed he was very knowledgeable and looked after us a treat.
We really enjoyed the trips off the boat to see the temples etc.
Couple of very important points though
The was no safety meeting or instructions, no muster points should there be an emergency.
This is standard on many cruises.
There were no life boats! There were couple of old little boats lashed on the back but they weren't even connected to the winch, so would be unusable if needed. There may have been a couple of rafts on the top deck but couldn't be sure as they were under a canvas.
Everyone should have had a life jacket, we didn't so had to ask and we got two eventually.
There were life belts all around the top deck.
On the whole we had a fantastic trip and I would recommend this type of trip as a way to visit Egypt. Especially helpful to avoid the hassle.
This was a really good experience but they should improve safety standards. We spoke with our guide and highlighted the concerns hope they take it on board.

We were on the boat Concerta for a 4 day Nile Cruise . Everything was great . The suites were beautiful, the staff was amazing and the food was also good.
The best part was our private guide Mohamed Basry who accompanied us to all the historical sights and taught us everything about Egypt history. Starting from when it all began to the current day . Even our teenagers were interested especially in the stories of all the gods. I would have never imagined I would have learned so much while on vacation.

Ms Opera Nile cruise. Extremely disappointed our cabin smelt damp and bathroom awful so asked to change which they did when I stated I would not stay in that cabin. The other cabin was better but dated still wittha mini fridge that was grubby. The food on the first day was cold and again I complained. By say 2 my partner was very sick and yellow diarrhoea. He missed his excursion that we'd paid for. The pool was extremely dirty they did clean it out when asked but the jacuzzi was broken and although a gym is advertised there isn't one. On the last day we was given envelopes and told to put in 30le for each day per person for tips. Service and facilities have been sub standard I could not recommend it. No tea and coffee making facilities in cabins and they don't even give you complimentary water. so disappointing 😔
