About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Valk4m30 contributionsGreat 10 day Egypt tour with personnel tour guides. We had a wonderful time when taking 10 Day Egypt Wonders of the Pharaohs Cairo & Alexandria & The Nile & Abu Simbel using Look at Egypt tours. Our tour manager Mahmoud Hefny did a wonderful job of meeting our needs. My wife and I traveled with a friend for a small group of 3. A charming young Canadian joined us the second day. Mahmoud met us at the airport with our visa’s prepared and breezed us through immigration, luggage and to our hotels. Being such a small group, he set us up with wonderful tour guides and drivers in Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Aswan areas. The 4-day Nile cruise was a great way to see many sites. We felt secure throughout the entire trip of a lifetime. Tipping was more than I expected but normal for the great service all provided.Written 30 October 2024

- Mrooly0 contributionsExperience of a lifetimeNot for the first time went with Viking. The trip was organised brilliantly with a 3 day stay on Cairo - Roughton place but history and museums superb. Stayed in 5 star hotel on Nile. Transfer to boat by private jet at Luxor. Baloon ride at dawn. Saw all main tombs and temples. The 2 guides were unbelievable in their knowledge, contacts and humour. Mohammed best ever. Ship is new and small...takes 80 but 30 scared away but trouble in Gaza. Great atmosphere and staff..especially Petra- more like friends. Expensive but great value for money. Can't think of a negative.Written 4 December 2023
- donmI7851QL0 contributionsGreat trip to Egypt with Look at Egypt ToursWe spent 14 days with Look at Egypt Tours from October 23 to November 5, 2023 and the tours, their organization of our time, the guides and the locations were all just excellent. We started at the Pyramids, flew to Luxor and did the cruise to Aswan. We saw Luxor, Karnak, Valley of the Kings, Edfu, Kom Ombo, Dendara and Hatshepsut's temple. Then off to Aswan on the River Cruise. The cruise was superb. We visited Philae, the Nubian museum and gardens and the Nubian village with their crocodiles. Then back to Cairo for the Egyptian Museum, Museum of Egyptian Civilization, mosques, bazaars and restaurants. It was a wonderful trip. We always felt safe at all our sites. The hotels were superb and the transportation first class, from camels to air conditioned buses. Thank you to Look at Egypt Tours for a wonderful visit to Egypt.Written 8 November 2023
- krishN6096FH0 contributionsTour guides at Look At Egypt are sub-par.We booked through Marriott Bonvoy and were assigned by them to a Viator-operated tour, called "Look at Egypt." The tour guide from Look at Egypt" was supposed to meet us at 8 am at our hotel in Luxor, and did not bother to show until noon. No communication. Then the female tour guide in Luxor who purported to be an Egyptologist, did not have any command of the Greek/Roman/Byzantine portion of Egyptian history--which is more than 900 years. She could not even answer simple questions like "in what century was this built?" Her English was also horrible. She also failed to heed time, and got us back to our cruise ship late, so we missed it and had to meet it further down the line at another dock. In Aswan, we had another tour guide. We asked him to organize a car for us to Abu Simbel. He said he did, but he did not.Written 18 January 2023
- Curiosity358197946480 contributionsEnjoyable and unforgettable tripIt was an amazing experience with this tour operator, very professional, knowledgeable and fun. We have meet excellent tour guide Remon Romany with extensive knowledge of Egyptology, he explained us all the places we visit , it was a great learning experience, very friendly, kind and fun, which made our trip to Egypt an unforgettable holiday. We highly recommend him as well this tour operator who made our visit very easy and enjoyable, all their employees involved with us were very reliable and professional, they took care of us since we arrived at the airport and they did all the tour an amazing experience.Written 13 September 2022
- kishacarobnica0 contributionscustom made tour Nile cruise, Abu Simbel, Pyramides, Nubian village Aswan - great experienceI travel a lot with friends but we never do tours, we always make individual arrangements. We decided to do a tour with Look at Egypt because we couldn't find enough info online about traveling in Egypt after/during Covid. They custom made our tour, included Alexandria for one day and a trip to Abu Simbel. We had to cancel Sinai climb because we were cold to climb by night in January and the visibility was not good. All the guides were very professional and friendly. When they realized we wanted to learn about history and culture they went an extra mile to keep our interest. It was a very pleasant experience. The cruise was great, our ship was nice, nice service and polite staff. Dont miss Abu Simbel if you are in Aswan. Its an extra effort but magical experience. In Luxor, Karnak was very impressive. Aswan market was the nicest one, better than Kairo and Luxor. When in Kairo, dont miss the Pyramides and Tutankhamun treasure (check where it is because the Museum is moving). We were demanding and the agency people were very good in their response. Will recommend to friends.Written 14 January 2022

- Beniceworld0 contributionsNot worth the money and poorly organised.Booked the tour based on intinery.Changed our hotels and tour without our permission. Expensive tour with cheap hotels where they stick you in back dusty rooms with lack of facilities. Safety concerns with not having guide with us all the time for example 2 hours without guide. Would not recommend this company they are so poorly organised and have rude company owner who lacks understanding of respecting the customer.I did enjoy eygpt and the sights but could have been so much better with a decent company.Written 18 January 2020

- Andrewskatie810 contributionsBest Tour ever great organization and valueI have enjoyed the cruise so much with my husband and 6 & 8 year old sons. The agent Ahmed helped us so much with the booking and even excursions that were not originally in the itinerary. The cruise was relaxing and food was great. I think I gained like 4 pounds 🤫 It was a great experience for me to travel to Egypt after all the rumors about the security issues and when I arrived there they showed us nothing but welcoming I fell in love with this culture and it was a trip I will never forget Thank youWritten 1 October 2019
- TimeTraveler3000BC0 contributionsMagical 3 Days/NightsOur booking through Look At Egypt turned out so well, we could not have been happier. Being from the US (California), and having never visited Egypt, nor even having traveled very much, we obviously didn't know exactly how an Egypt tour would work, but once we landed in Cairo every confusion or possible tourist bundler was avoided as we were immediately met by Ahmed from Look At Egypt before we even got to customs, who showed us how to get a visa and guided us straight to a private van for transport to our hotel. They took very good care of us, including from the first email I sent, when I had to ask if they could work with our schedule. Our flight to Cairo was already booked and we only had 4 days in Egypt. They planned a private tour for just my wife and I, that included hotels in Cairo and Luxor and domestic airfare, and maximized our time in Egypt with activities all day each day. The first 2 days were in Cairo, the second 2 in Luxor. Ines met us 8am at the hotel in Giza (across the Nile from Cairo) taking us straight to the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Later we rode camels and spent the afternoon in the Egypt Museum and then the evening shopping at one of the oldest barzaars in Egypt. Made it back to the hotel maybe by 9pm. Ines was so helpful all day, taking pictures as many times as we could want and generally being invaluable in such a large city. We flew to Luxor and were taken to the Mercure Hotel, sitting right on the Nile, the most beautiful hotel I've ever seen. Our guide in Luxor was Dina, who could not have been more accommodating, friendly, thoughtful of what we would enjoy, and informative when discussing the sites. The sites in Luxor were truly astounding. The Temple of Karnak I could have probably spent the entire day at, but there was also the Luxor Temple. The next day we visited the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut. Then Dina suggested to taking us to the Valley of the Nobels and Valley of the Workers too, where tombs of ancient Egyptians of lower cast are found. We really felt like we were on an adventure then, since we were the only visitors to the sites and the tombs held unusual pictographs, different than depicted for the Pharaohs, the colors of which are still bright some thousands of years later. The guides and overall experience with Look At Egypt was actually even more impressive than I had imagined. I really can't say enough good things.Written 19 July 2019
