Itinerary
- 1Get an early start on the day with 6am pickup at your accommodations in Nairobi, then begin the 2.5-hour trip to Nanyuki town, where you’ll stretch your legs by the official equator line. On the way, enjoy panoramic views of the green vegetation and the beauty of the Kenyan coffee farms. Continue for another 15 minutes to Ol Pejeta Conservancy for the first, two-hour game drive of the day. Explore the park’s northern area, which is home to a plentiful population of chimpanzees, and keep watch for some of the “Big Five” that live within the conservancy: lions, cape buffalo, African elephants, leopard, and rhinoceros are all spotted here, including the very rare white rhino. Visit the chimpanzee sanctuary the only of its kind in Kenya that rescues and takes care of orphaned chimpanzees. You will enjoy hot lunch at the Sweet waters Serena Camp and 30 minutes of relaxation before going back to the park for more game drives. You will depart the park at around 4.30pm heading back to nairobi . You expect to arrive at 8.00pm with a lot of memories with regards to this great tour.

- kevingO5981XF0 contributionsHalf day Nairobi tour with LawrenceIf you think going on a half day tour isn’t worth it. You will be surprised. The tour was great. Lawrence was our amazing guide and friend. There were many tours in the park and most guides know each other and give tips on their radios to each other. Many guides just follow the other guides. Not Lawrence. He really knows the park and he would break away from the crowds and find great animal sightings. If you can get Lawrence as your guide, he will not let you down. Thanks Lawrence!!Written 9 January 2025
- petcharan0 contributionsDefinitely book here, great experience and one of the best prices!I had an incredible experience with Lawrence as our safari tour guide. His ability to get us to the front of the queue for the best wildlife sightings was remarkable, ensuring we didn’t miss a thing. Lawrence’s knowledge of the animals and their habitats was impressive, and he shared fascinating insights throughout the tour, making it both educational and enjoyable. On top of that, he’s a fantastic driver, navigating the terrain with ease and making us feel completely safe and comfortable. Lawrence truly made our safari unforgettable—highly recommended!Written 9 January 2025

- Wanderer148496212530 contributionsTrue safariHalf day safari. Let's go step by step. The team picked us on time, sending prior messages about entry fees, and how to sort it out by ourselves (if needed they would and did help few participants on the gate so no worries). Van with outlets to charge your phones, cameras etc, and possible hotspot. So as described. With really friendly guides. Experience itself: A few hours in the park seeing every possible animal from zebras to lions. The drive was rough sometimes but well what do you want, it is a safari, plus nothing you can't handle. The team will stop often so you can take many photos and videos of different animals, plants etc. The only minus was ruching exiting after the last stop. But that was on the way out, with hundreds of photos so nothing major. Overall: great team, prepared to give you a fantastic experience, doing their best so you can see as much as possible in the park. Worth every pennyWritten 2 January 2025
- familyfromparis0 contributions5 days Ambiseli and TsavoVey good experience The guide was very professional. The lodges were so nice (except Amboseli Penety resort which was more common). The scenery was wonderful. I would have preferred driving less, and stopping more. Also I had made a safari in Tanzania 20 years ago and was a bit disappointed here there is really less animals. But that’s not the fault of Kenya bush.Written 1 January 2025
- suriaht20240 contributionsGreat Safari! We made our booking the night before and they managed to fit us in for 6 am the next day! Edwin our driver was very helpful and knowledgable. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see the lions on our trip as they were hiding, however we still enjoyed the experience nonetheless. They even allowed us to change our drop off location and offered to pick us back up too. Would defo recommend if travelling solo or in a small group. The company is very accommodating and friendly!Written 29 December 2024
- Thomas W0 contributionsAn incredible way to spend a morningWe organised this the day before through Trip Advisor, and it went very smoothly. It was an incredible morning. Our guide was Eric who did a fantastic job maneuvering our vehicle through queues of vehicles, keeping us in a good spot to view the animals. We saw all the animals on our list quite easily. Would highly recommend. Make sure to organise your park admission before arriving at the gate (I didn't) as it is quite stressful otherwise. Eric was a great help though.Written 29 December 2024
- KristiRossouw0 contributionsVery Average for a game drive tour. Not Poor, not Great.I hope that this honest review is helpful and fair for anyone considering which tour company to use. The magic of having a National Park on the edge of a city is still very special to experience. In short, our trip with Kenyan Bush Expeditions was Average. Not Poor and not Great. Correspondence leading up to our trip day was clear. We were collected on time - the vehicle arrived early, in fact. However we waited for 40 minutes for a pair of tourists who could not be contact by phone nor by thier hotel room service, which meant that we arrived at the gate after 7am instead of at 0630. The entry into the park was VERY unclear - had we been requested to arrange our eCitizen park entry tickets before, this would have been much easier. The guide asked us if we had this sorted, which was the first time we were told that it was required. Added to this, we had loaded our spending money onto an Mpesa account, which has worked excellently throughout Kenya BUT we found out at the National Park gate that only residents and citizens can be paid for with Mpesa - foreigners must use a credit card - the function on the system does not allow for Mpesa to be used for non residents. That was not ideal as we had to make a quick plan. We got into the park at 0745. It was enjoyable to be able to stand up in the vehicle and few from the opening in the roof. I would recommend this, as you can see far further than seated. We were never offered on board wifi, so make sure you check that if you choose to book with a company who claims this as a selling point. Our guide Peter drove us around for 3hrs. Im assuming it was this time because we arrived and hour late into the park. He did not offer much information during the trip beyond responding to our few questions. Upon exiting, we took what seems to be a mandatory stop at a curio shop. We were ushered into a specific shop instead of being able ot choose where to buy coffee. Our Kenyan friend was also asked on the side, by the driver to help us to buy because "tourists have money". Clearly he did not listen that we are two governement school teachers from SA. But jokes aside, this was totally inappropriate for him to ask this of our friend. We were not fussy to see many animals as we know how game drives go - its the luck of the draw on the day. We were lucky to see rhinos so close, but no cats on the day. I would rate this experience as Average because we arrived late due to the tour company choosing to wait a long time for people who never surfaced, we did not get guided rather mostly just driven around, and we could have stayed in the park an hour extra to compensate for the late start in order for us to try to see at least a cat, even if we didnt manage to, the intent from the driver would have been appreciated. There are so many tour companies lining up to give tours in Nairobi. We certainly saw some animals. The park is 117sqkm so its a guven that you will see animals. But I would say rather pick another company who gets you into the park early, guides you with interesting information along the way, who assists tourists with the Ecitizen entry before arrivng at the park and who takes you to a coffee spot afterwards that is not both tired and prescriptive in order to, I would guess, make some extra commission from you buying something from the curio shop. Once again, the magic of having a National Park on the edge of a city is still very special to experience.Written 28 December 2024

- annayP731NA0 contributionsKenya Bush Tours is a Great Company!!We had such a great time on our half day safari to Nairobi National Park! Our tour guide Peter was great at providing information about the animals and nature all around us. I also appreciated how the tour company worked as a team to ensure every vehicle had a chance to see the coveted animals (i.e. lions, zebras, rhinos). Edwin was a tour guide from another vehicle and he was also a great host!Written 24 December 2024
- 54anupamap0 contributionsExcellent Mikumi day tour from darWe (a group of 6 students) went on the one day Mikumi safari tour from Dar Es Salaam. It was excellent! The driver, Issa, was very kind, professional, and knowledgeable. He made sure we saw many animals (giraffes, wildebeast, buffalo, lions, zebras, impalas, hippos), some very close! Amazing experience, well worth the price. Just be aware that the drive can get long depending on traffic.Written 24 December 2024

John my driver and guide was superb in both roles. He was really knowledgeable and helpful and did everything you would wish for. Very considerate and a very safe driver, organised a wonderful lunch stop .
Ol Pejeta is a fantastic place to visit and their rhino conservation project is awesome in the truest sense of the word. I would recommend the tour 100%
The administration is another story communication after payment is non existent despite numerous requests on WhatsApp they simply do not respond.
I am supposed to do another tour with them this morning but once again I have had to try to prise information about pick up time out of them. There are still issues with a change in park entry rules which have been communicated last minute which are difficult to negotiate. Once there is a problem radio silence !

Tony Cruz is da man!! If your able to get a tour with him you will be set. Puntual, great driver, joyous individual, and by the way great musician and singer. I was surprised today because, we though we were just gonna get to see the chimps and the black rhino. But Tony went out of his way to show us the Big Safari 5 which was unbelievable. We even got to see hippos and the last two Northern White Rhinos from a distance. What an amazing day and tour guide, definitely recommended, you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent setting for wildlife aficionados. A cheetah was nearby with a kill, and we discovered a leopard and her youngster close outside the lodge. In addition to this, we also spotted numerous reticulated giraffe, grevy zebra, and elephants in the region.

Awesome conservancy center with many wildlife to see and good staff. I'm still thinking bout Baraka the white blind Rhino and the Chimp that folded it's hands like a human. I was however disturbed by the high cost of accessing the conservancy for citizens. For normal parks in Kenya we pay ksh.250 but we paid ksh.1400 per person and ksh.600 for our car. Quite high for a common citizen. I was equally concerned that the conservancy is allegedly owned by white settlers occupying over 90,000 acres of land and equally deals with with wheat farming and beef production. I wondered why such an investments is not in the hands of our government. I promised myself to look into the history of this conservancy. I wondered if there 99 year lease has elapsed. It's our wildlife, it's our land!

Amazing park but the road is uncomfortable, and also the van. I suggest to divide the transportation into two stages. The first with car and then the safari by jeep
