African Home Adventures is proof that a safari doesn't have to be exorbitantly priced to be very decent and a lot of fun. We travelled with this company for eight days to Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara, and everything about it was excellent.

We booked the safari through Mr. Albert Ouko, who patiently answered our questions over many months even as we checked out other operators. Mr. Ouko offered us a very competitive price, and any apprehensions we may have had quickly disappeared when we saw that our guide, as well as the hotels and camps we were accommodated it, were indeed very good.

Your guide can make or break your safari, and the person assigned to us, Mr. George Otieno, is the perfect balance of seriousness and fun. He is a self-motivated individual who truly loves his job and gets great joy in seeing his customers happy. A fantastic driver no doubt, but he is also full of stories from his many years as a guide. He knows the parks like the back of his hand, and possesses an encylopedic knowledge of the African bush and all its inhabitants. We saw an array of animals during our time there (all except the leopard, actually), and George was at hand to tell us about their lives. Photos are an important part of any safari, and thankfully, George seems to have a working knowledge of photography, always positioning the vehicle in the correct position to get the best shots of the wildlife and landscapes.

A special mention for the Enchoro wildlife camp at Masai Mara. Mr. Ouko insisted on it even when we requested a change, and for good reason. The camp is brilliantly maintained, very close to the gates of the park, and is run by a bunch of ever-smiling individuals who are always happy to help.

I highly recommend African Home Adventures, and if I were to visit Kenya again, I wouldn't hesitate to get in touch with them for another awesome safari.

Lions and cubs within 20 feet of your vehicle, a cheetah and cubs walking next to our rv, Leopard Gorge, the Mara River with its croc's, antelopes, elephants, and even an Aardvark. If photography is your thing, this is the place to be. Game Camps and Resorts are throughout the area. One of note is Mara Bushtops...elegant. 2016

We had an amazing experience on this safari! The organization from start to finish was excellent - Abednegoh did a great job communicating all the relevant details and helping us get the trip booked.

When you book, make sure to ask for George as your guide. George excelled in all aspects of leading the safari. He knows how to find all the animals in each of the parks, including the rare ones like the leopard and Black rhino. He would drive nonstop for many hours to make sure we saw as many amazing animal closeups as possible in each of the parks.

George also taught us a lot about the diverse cultures within Kenya, and shared many hilarious stories about his many years as a guide.

Great trip, highly recommended!

We went on the 8 day safari covering Masai Mara, Amboseli and Lakes Borgoria, Nakuru and Niavasha during which we got to see the big 5 in the Masia Mara with stunning sights of lions and even got to take photos of elephants with Mount Kilamanjaro in the background in Amboseli! Lake Borgoria was spectacular with all the flamingoes.

Our guide, George Otieno, was fantastic and made the trip exceptional. He is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and willing to share all sorts of information . He made sure we had great views of the animals in the parks and his eagle eyes spotted hyenas, jackals and rhinos.

Thanks George for an awesome time.

Paul joined us as our chef for the 2 days in Amboseli and he made sure we were well fed and looked after.

I highly recommend this budget safari and ask for George!

My boyfriend and I went on a six day safari to the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli national parks. We really did have the experience of a lifetime and saw everything we could have hoped to see, including all the big five, cheetahs, hyenas and countless other animals. The accommodation was more than we could have hoped for considering we were on a budget safari; I would have been happy to camp for six nights but instead we stayed in two tented camps and one hotel. The food was generally good and plentiful, often buffet-style. In Amboseli we had our own cook, Paul, who was great. Most importantly, our guide, George, made the safari what it was by constantly being on hand to provide us with interesting facts about the animals we were seeing. George is a brilliant driver and knows all the parks and reserves like the back of his hand, which really comes in useful when the drivers are communicating by radio when the best wildlife has been spotted! He was also full of information about Kenyan culture which we never would have heard about otherwise. Thank you to Paul, George and Albert, with whom we corresponded by email to book the safari. I would recommend this company to anyone.

I and my friend joined a 11-day kenya and tanzania safari tour with Africa home adventure. They provided reasonable price and quality service.
We spent 7 days in kenya going to Masai mara, lake nakuru, aberdare national park and amboseli national park. Our tour guide George is really brilliant. We saw the big five on the first 2 days of our tour already (though sometimes it depends on luck). He is helpful and considerate. He can always find the best site to find and observe the animals. Our cook Paul is also fantastic.
We spent another 4 days in tanzania going to ngorongoro conservation area and serengeti national park. Our cook Isack is another wonderful guy. He provided quality food even in the wild. He is so helpful and responsible. He even helped to protect us against hyena during midnight in the wildcamp site in serengeti.

We spent 6 days on a tour in Kenya with African Home Adventures, which we booked online from home, our tour covered the Masai Mara, Amboseli and Lake Nakura, our driver was Tom who is a great guide, very friendly, flexible and patient. His driving skills were incredible on some of the tough roads leading into the parks and his knowledge of the animals was amazing and it was nice to share a love of animals with our enthusiastic guide. Tom also knew the parks very well which ensured we saw much more than we could of imagined.

Tom not only gave us an insight into the animal kingdoms but also was incredibly open and insightful when we asked about local life, customs and his culture.

I would not hesitate in recommending Tom as a guide he made our time in Kenya so memorable, if you have abit of sense of adventure and you don't mind roughing it at times then this is the safari for you, it was very good value for money.

I only other feedback that I would give is that at the time of booking and confirming all the payments and details, the email communication broke down alittle and there was abit of a delay in receiving a response, but other than this everything else was great and I have not hesitation in recommending that you go ahead and book your budegt safari with Tom and African Home Adventures.

I just finished a visit to the Masai Mara Wildlife Refuge on the Kenyan side of the border with Tanzania (on the Tanzania side the park is known as the Serengeti) using services provided by African Home Adventure, LTD. During my 3 days there I had the most amazing safari rides of my live (a had previously visited the Amboseli Park in Kenya and South Luangwa Park in Malawi). Masai Mara is probably the best park, but it was the driver, George Otieno, who really delivered the excellent experience. His English was great and each drive was also a lesson in animal characteristics and habits. He was so familiar with the park and so willing to go the extra mile that in 2 days of drives we saw multiple lions, cheetahs, leopards along with the usual elephants, giraffes, gnus, gazelles, water buffalo, etc.. Amazingly we also saw a pair of rhinos and witnessed a leopard kill a bush buck. Of course, each safari ride is a bit of a crapshoot, but George went out of his way to make sure not only that we were where the action was, but that our vehicle was positioned for the best angle photos. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

I contacted by email with African Home Adventure after much searching in internet. From the first moment Abednegoh, the manager of this company, designed for us a safari to our measure, adapting it to all our requests.

Accompanied by Edward, a great guide and friend, we rode 6 national parks in Kenya. We stayed in Logde, treetops and campsites. The meals were always good, mixing international and local meals.

The parks we visited were: Amboseli, Aberdare, Samburu, Nakuru, Naivasha and Masai Mara. We'd see landscapes of all kinds, from savannah to mountain parks. The best was the variety of animals we got to see, including the so-called big five. This is thanks to the tenacity of our guide and driver Edward.

It's amazing to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, hyenas, wildebeest, crocodiles, giraffes, elephants, ostriches, zebras, etc in their natural environment. And more to contemplate how they hunt, how they survive, how they live.

In addition, we visited a village Mara and learn a little more closely to its people and their way of life.

Certainly we have had a wonderful experience with African Home Adventure, and I can assure you that when we return, we will repeat them.

Thanks to Abednegoh and Edward for their professionalism and friendship."

Last week my boyfriend and I went on a 4-day Safari to the Mara with African Home Adventures, and the overall experience can only be classified as EXCELLENT!
Ever since I established contact with the agency, Albert, the owner, was very attentive and promptly answered any question I had regarding the Safari. Since I was living in Nairobi at that time, I met some of the staff at the office, who were also very kind and were very flexible when it came to payment arrangements.
Our safari guide and driver, Tom Otieno, proved to be an excellent guide and also a very committed person with his job. Besides being an excellent driver, Tom knows the National Parks like the back of his hand, so thanks to him we were able to see the "Big 5" in just one day!
In the Mara, we stayed at the Enchoro Camping Site, a lovely and quiet place with spacious tents equipped with toilet and shower.
Tom stayed at the same camp, which was great, since we could talk to him during dinner and breakfast and plan for the next days. Tom is a very knowledgeable person, so it was a pleasure to hear his explanations about every question we had regarding the trip or more cultural issues.
The flexibility of the itinerary is something to highlight. On the first day, Tom gave us the chance to slightly change our last day itinerary, whereby instead of spending one more morning in the Mara, we could stop by at Naivasha Lake, on our way to Nakuru, and enjoy the beauty of that lake. We decided to take his advice, and it was definitely an excellent idea.
I would strongly recommend African Home Adventures to anyone who's interested in going on a Safari in Kenya. On a personal note, if you are as lucky as a we were and have Tom as your guide, it'll be an unforgettable experience!
