About
Gain a deeper understanding of Kenyan life and culture on a visit to Kibera slums, one of the largest urban slums in Africa and a sight unseen by most visitors. Traversing the corridors of the slum with a private guide is a great way to get more out of a full day in Kibera — and to ensure your visit is respectful of local culture — as you discover the challenges that locals face and the unique ways they’re working to improve living conditions. See an open air market, a bead factory, a bone recycling plant and shop, a kindergarten/orphanage, two aerial views of the slum, two typical slum houses and a public ground

I have many places in Nairobi but none of them got more love than kibera. Lucas, an experienced local guide did an amazing job at making us feel the love of his neighborhood. He also helps the community through a local school that helps in maximizing the potential of the kids in the kindergerten. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting nairobi. Cheers Lucas.

Lucas was an excellent guide in the tour of Kibera. The tour changed my negative impression of the slum. His love for was clear and he shared both his home, family, friends and many initiatives including Hope and Shine Kibera center. The community is vibrant and breaming as as being difficulty and challenging. I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting Nairobi. ❤️👍
