Driver guide Joseph, Agent Baboon Budget safaris gave us an amazing trip we saw most of the animals in the safari and the big 5 as well

10/10 experience! Joseph is the best driver and guide ever. He is passionate about the animals, was able to share with us his knowledge on animal’s habits, we learned a lot from him. He has telescopic visions, helping us to spot animals from afar in the Safari and he always knows how to best position the car for us to get the best photos. We did the Baboon Budget Safaris trip to Masai Mara and lake Nakuru in a Jeep. It’s one of the most memorable trip ever.

An amazing experience. Our driver Joseph was very good - we saw almost everything (did not see a leopard, but they can be very elusive, up in the trees) and he went out of his way to catch moments that were time critical. He really cared about showing us the best. Driving alone was an experience, then seeing all the animals, combined with an interesting group of people, this safari was something that contributed greatly to making our trip to Kenya as the best we ever had. The food was very good - basic but very well prepared with great quality ingredients. Especially near Kilimanjaro - some of the best food we had all trip/in recent memory! I say it’s gotta be the soil! If you are citizen of Kenya it might be easier to get around, but what can’t be underestimated is the help your driver gives you. With Joseph all entries were seamless. If you go alone and don’t have e citizen or m-pesa, prepare to waste hours going around in circles. Also being able to sit and not worry about driving is a great thing. Having self-driven four days before the safari, it’s fine, but needs attention - especially off-road in a light duty suv like we had. The converted Land Cruiser we had on the safari was inspiring in its off road capability, no doubt helped by Jospeh’s skill and experience.

Really enjoyed the trip with guide Jose, he took us to see many animals, we saw the big five, so excited, Jose provided excellent customer service, really appreciated his effort.

We booked the 5-day Mount Kenya trekking followed by a 6-day safari through Sunstrip Safari. First about the trekking: The entire experience on the mountain was unforgettable. Our guide Kim and his crew accompany us to the summit with greater experience, fine food and relaxedness. We feel very well looked after. Unfortunately, the organization of the trekking was not satisfactory. The means of transport was a matatu, which left just after an hour at the earliest, while all the other hikers we met on the mountain traveled 4 hours in a taxi. When Nanyuki arrived, we realized that nothing has been organized as of now. From food to tents to sleeping mats, everything had to be procured locally. After approx. The waiting time is then approx. 2 hours. The hike started at 3:30 p.m. (we've been on the road since 7:00 a.m.). We were by far the last to arrive at the camp, while everyone else had already finished their dinner. But from that point on everything worked out great. Only on the last day did things continue in a similar style. During the last hike, a car suddenly came towards us and we were supposed to get into it. After about 40 minutes we were charged $50 for the taxi ride. This was followed by the same torture tour as when we arrived. After about 5 hours in a full matatu in scorching heat and with the windows closed, we arrived in Nairobi downtown. Now for the safari: On the third day we had to change our group because they were already leaving. This wasn't a problem for us. However, our new guide Raymond didn't drop us off at our booked hotel that evening, but rather at a flophouse in the village. Our accommodation was full and we could have stayed overnight here. Unfortunately, as a tourist you are at the mercy of the guides, so we checked in too. This later turned out to be a lie. Maybe he had made use of the nice accommodation himself or it was too much for him to drive a little further. We don't know the reason. Otherwise, little information about the animals was given during the safaris, but rather people rushed from attraction to attraction. I have already done a few safaris in Africa and have never experienced it like this before. It's a shame that some things didn't work well, we hope that communication between Sunstrip and the guides can be improved in the future.

The whole tour was just fantastic. Our tour guide Boniface did his best to make it a memorable one. It was easy to communicate with Susan from Sunstrip Africa. She gave all the information I wanted and a good price too. We get to see Lake Naivasha as well. Few things to highlight - The tour schedule kept changing since others in the group had finished the tour earlier so they has to be dropped to Nairobi which made the road trip very long and tiring. The van given had no AC so it was hot while going on long road trips. Would have liked proper meals rather packaged ones.

We just concluded our 5 days Mt. Kenya hike and we are thankful to Susan for arranging everything perfectly. I recommend having enough dollars if you are paying in cash at the office as the exchange rate for KES to USD at the market is not so fair but we were taken to the forex bureau and we paid as per their rate which is not their mistake and we are glad Susan handled it professionally. We will be coming back next year with a bigger group for trekking and safari.

We just concluded our seven days safari holiday in Kenya and we would like to thank Susan and Sunstrip Safaris who organized a wonderful safari for us in Masai Mara. We stayed in Richard's River Camp in the Masai Conservancy for three nights and then flew to Diani for our beach holiday. We did a 5 days mount Kenya Hike. First of all: I am rating the office right now and not the mount Kenya hike. The mount Kenya hike is definitely recommendable and was one of the best experiences we had. Great views, great guides (the guides are freelancers and not related to the office)...a wonderful experience! But very important! Book this wonderful hike with another (maybe a little bit more expensive) tour operator! Our experience with this tour operator was the worst we have ever experienced (and we are travelling the world for 2 years now). They are robbing you and most of the things they tell you are lies! With this operator you get a reasonable offer and you find yourself paying 20% more than agreed to. Susan seems to be a friendly contact at the beginning and at the end you realize that she only told you half of the truth and lies (if you are not able to pay by US dollars in cash you will pay 10% more than the offer, because the company shifts the financial risk onto the customers, be careful about every "optional" they tell you...it will cost you more than expected...for example the ride back at the last day will cost you 50USD which is not included in the price) they also will make itinerary changes which will affect you with aditional costs without asking you. I really recommend to experience this wonderful hike with another maybe a little bit more expensive company. If you value honesty please avoid Susan and avoid this company, they are thieves.

Hello! We had a six days Safari in Kenya in the end of January. We visited four national parks like Naivasha, Nakuru, Maasai Mara and Amboseli. It was very amazing time. We have already seen all big five and a lot of other mammals, birds etc. Boniface is a great guide, best of all. We spent a really good time with him. Manager Susan is very kind and pleasure. She already can help you. We didn’t regret that have chosen this company.

I had an 11 day tour of Kenya and Tanzania with luxury accommodations. Before I left for Africa, I really had a good communication with Susan/Suzy, she answers questions all the time thru WhatsApp, it's when I arrived in Africa when everything starts to become bad, when I got there, she changed some of my accommodations, the accommodations in the national parks were amazing, I chose the luxury accommodations and they were indeed nice! But my accommodations in Arusha were very bad, she put me in bad places that have dirty rooms, slow shower pressure and stinky rooms! Also, our truck that we used in Tanzania broke down twice, one day we have to spend a few hours in a junk shop in the middle of Serengeti to have the tires fixed then the following day this truck broke down again and we have to hitch a ride with another tour group to go back to Arusha! She booked us thru 7 wonders in Tanzania, I guess this safari company in Tanzania is not reliable! Also in Kenya, they used a van that was converted with a roof that can be lifted during game drives, its not those 4x4 safari trucks! The bad thing about this is it's very bumpy during game drives and roads in Kenya and Tanzania are not paved and very dusty! I just would like to point out that the drivers I had were amazing, Anthony in Kenya and Linus in Tanzania were both nice and they can easily spot animals even if they're very far from the vehicle. Overall, I enjoyed this trip I was able to see the big 5 and I would still do it again but I would probably choose another African countries next time and if I have to be back in Kenya or Tanzania then I'll choose a different tour operator next time

This company thief our money. We payed deposit and they disappear.. (Said that one of us reverse the money, and after we requested to cancel they disappear also the rest of group. They thief from us 800 USD

I went on a mount kenya safari and would not recommend this firm at all. They charged extra when i arrived in the morning and we also ended up paying for items that should have been included (like transport back to nairobi). Additionally, the pre-trek guidance was awful - they didn't provide an accurate itinerary or a list of required items. This meant we had to buy extra stuff when we arrived. We were also very surprised (and disappointed with the lodgings). There are better operators available!! I wo
