Alex and his colleagues like Peter, Philipe, James, Andrew are very professional, helpful and kind. The program has been perfectly done as planned through effective coordination, even if there are some very small cracks, which are totally understandable, they were resolved in a time manner. I will strongly recommend Lenchada to friends.

4/5 Went on four day Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru safari. Solo female traveler. Safari was awesome. Caleb was the driver for Masai Mara. He was friendly and appeared to be well experienced. He made sure to stop and show several animals and at a very close distance. Not a dull moment with him. Mostly good communication with Alex but he was not reachable when the airport pick up driver suddenly decided to transfer me to another driver half way to Masai Mara. He demanded and made me pay the money enroute instead of when we reached the park as Alex said . This got me worried. Alex was not reachable to clarify. It worked out okay in the end. There were other times in this trip where the plan was not communicated at the start and I was transferred between vehicles, or driven a longer route to accommodate other travelers. It would be much better if this is informed to a traveler at least at the start of the day. My flight got delayed upon arrival and Alex arranged for a special pick up for an extra cost but unfortunately never refunded me the cost of Masai Mara park entrance fee for the day I missed. I didn’t ask. Last day, airport drop off was part of the trip but the driver from Nakuru dropped me off in Nairobi downtown. Another driver asked for some money to take me to the airport. I paid. Budget tents in Masai Mara I felt are a bit too cheap. No charging outlets, food is quite mediocre, no lights in the tent after a certain time, shower/toilet are bad. Someone I met at breakfast felt the same way. Go for a better lodging if you can afford. Lake Nakuru hotel room and food were pretty good however. All in all , I am satisfied with the safari and most importantly felt safe as a solo female traveler. Taking away one star for poor communication about transfers, lack of park entrance fee refund and charging extra airport drop off charge.

I would have loved giving five out of five stars to the Lenchada Safari because the first 4 days, John our guide was fantastic. Very considerate. Very conscious of our safety and our comfort. Kept on the radio so that we were able to spot some obscure animals. The reason that I did not give a five-star was because I was handed off to a second group after the fourth day with a guide named Stephen who was not as communicative or conscientious to our comfort or our needs. However, with John we saw the big five and I lived a lifelong dream! Be prepared. this was a budget Safari and you get what you pay for. Most all of my better photos are on my camera and I'm doing this from my phone but even using a phone a lot of the pictures were great. But if you have a long lens, bring it. That being said, the food was pretty good and I felt pretty safe in the camps. For me that is all I needed but others may want a bit more. I loved it!!!

We had a five-day safari through Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, and Nakuru, and it was absolutely extraordinary. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Our driver, Solomon, was exceptional! You could tell he is very experienced and has great knowledge of the wildlife and nature in the parks. Solomon had a keen eye for spotting animals, and his patience with everyone wanting to capture the perfect shot made the experience truly enjoyable. Each day brought unforgettable moments, from witnessing breathtaking landscapes to spotting the Big Five. Solomon made sure we didn’t miss a thing. We felt safe, informed, and well taken care of throughout the entire journey. If you’re considering a safari, I highly recommend this trip, and if you’re lucky enough to get Solomon as your guide, you’re in for an incredible experience! This was, hands down, one of the best adventures we’ve ever had.

Just returned from 4 day Masai Mara and lake Nakuru park tour and wow! This trip exceeded all our expectations! We stayed 2 nights in Lenchada tourist camp and although basic (remember this a budget trip) the beds were clean and comfortable, the food was more than adequate and the staff were great. We spent 1 night in Buraha Zenoni hotel for day in Nakuru park. This hotel was far better than expected , great food, good clean bed and fantastic shower! However, what truly made this trip spectacular was our driver and guide, Evans. He was amazing! Fantastic guide and very safe and experienced driver. We would have no hesitation in recommending this trip. Big thanks to Evans😀

Amazing experience, and a dream come true! This tour packs in a lot, covering the 3 top National Parks in Kenya, giving you a great chance of spotting the Big 5. Accommodation, whilst basic (it is a budget tour), was clean and we were kept well fed. Finally, a big shout out to our fantastic guide, Stanley. Very experienced, knowledgeable, kept us well informed and we definitely felt we were in excellent hands. Stanley - you are the best!

We want to thank from the bottom of our heart to all the Lenchada team(Alex is a very professional leader and Collins, you were very kind and attentive to all of our needs). As I am writing this review we are still in Kenya, and this is our second time we're coming but so far Gichina was the best tour guide we have ever had. He was more of a friend than a guide. He is very knowledgeable, and knows very much info about all the animals. Myself I've watched every single documentary about african wildlife so it was very nice to have someone to talk to, share and exchange information. We had very long chats about everything we've encountered, he was always punctual and eager to please all of our needs. Thanks to him I got to take the photos I was longing for. His driving skills are very good and everything went very smoothly. You know what they say, sometimes you meet people that will change you forever and Gichina is one of them. He is that kind of warm person who you care for dearly. In two years from now we will be back to Kenya with our son and we'll make sure we'll do a private safari with Gichina and Lenchada because truly they are that kind of people who want you to enjoy your holiday! We enjoyed this safari a lot, thanks to our guide and driver James Gichina. He got us the best spots for observing all the animals. We saw the Big Five and many more. He also gave information about the animals. We joined a safari and were 6 to 8 people in one jeep. The information before the trip with Lenchada was good, but they tried to increase the price just before the trip started. There were some changes in the schedule, mainly due to the fact that we traveled in high season and the tented camps were overbooked. We had to complain not to get downgraded too much. I hope the agency improves in the future and respects the schedule and price provided at booking. In general we got good value for our price. I would not recommend the boat trip and walking safari which we did during a stop between Masai Mara and Nakuru and paid 60€ extra.

A truly amazing experience with Lenchada Safaris! I booked my trip super early in Nov 2023, my travel date was in Aug 2024. Over the past 9 months, Alex(boss) had been my “friend” although we have never met. I really admire his patience with accommodating to all my millions of questions and attending to them in a speedy manner. When I arrived at his office for the balance payment, his employee was confused with the sum, and he told me not to worry and he will take care of it. My 5D4N trip started with our guide Mr. Evans who was a man who not only takes care of us, ensures of our safety, and also gives clear instructions on what is the plan ahead and things we have to take note of. I really love his attitude of aggressive, eager to win and super positive attitude! He never gets sleepy along the long straight road on highway which I’m really impressed. His work is not easy, he needs to be always on the phone and ensuring that all are well arranged and also drives the jeep safely. Which I find that it’s a super hectic job! It’s not for anyone to do! I’m super thankful for him, if not for him, we are unable to see the animals so up close! He is super target oriented, well organize, clear and concise , straight to the point. I really love his attitude towards work and he made me learnt something. My trip was on a budget trip, I get to take another jeep on my 4th day with another guide. Although it was not as excellent as what Mr. Evans had done for me, but I’m glad that all required has been done smoothly. At the end of the trip, I decided to go to Masai Market to take a look before my flight. Mr. Eric arrange Mr. Peter to bring me around and ensuring my upmost safety and I super glad to find out that Mr. Alex(boss) treats his employees and partners with love that his people is willing to stay with him for over 16 years working with him. Mr. Peter told me he is thankful for Mr. Alex for all these years. Mr. Evans also had worked with him over 16 years! I’m super impressed with all of them! If a boss is willing to treat his employees and partners with love, I’m sure that he will also do that for his customers! We have just finished our 6 night honeymoon safari with Humphrey, where we had 3 nights at Massai Mara, 1 night at Lake Nakuru and 2 nights at Amboseli. We had the most fantastic experience visiting all of the national parks and sighting the Big 5 and so much more! The accommodation we stayed in was as described. The Mara Enkorok camp in Massai Mara was the most basic however the staff there made the stay most enjoyable. We were well fed throughout and we were provided with plenty of water each day whilst out on the safari. Humphrey was a knowledgable tour guide and could answer every question we had and knew the names of all of the different animals we came across. Thanks to Humphrey and his excellent skills and knowledge, we were able to see so many animals and have such a great trip. Humphrey was very punctual and was dedicated to making sure we wouldn’t return back to the camps until we had seen as much as possible. We did the hot air balloon ride in Massai Mara which was a personal highlight and a once in a lifetime opportunity. We would definitely recommend you do this. We also visited a traditional Massai Village, with Humphrey, which was fascinating and very interesting however they saw us coming a mile off as tourists and attempted to charge us an awful lot for some unexpected gifts. !!DOLLARS!! We were informed over email that we could pay using USD or Kenyan shilling. As we came from the UK we exchanged some money in the UK into USD to pay for our trip. We were also asked the day before if we had USD to pay with in which I reassured the company we did. On arrival, we went to pay with our USD and we were suddenly told that any dollars printed in 2006 or before are NOT accepted in Kenya. Unfortunately for us, most of the money we had exchanged into USD was printed in 2001-2006. This meant we had to pay an unexpected amount on our credit card. There was also another girl in the same situation when we were in the office. We feel like this should have been made very clear prior to arrival in the many emails I had communicated with Alex. Because of this small stress and inconvenience we are giving 4 stars out of 5 as we feel this could have been made clear. All in all, communication has been excellent, Humphrey was very knowledgable and we had an amazing and busy week visiting Kenya! Thank you!

We had a great 4 days Safari trip in Masai Mara. Nature is beautiful, weather during the day time is perfect and food in camp is delicious and has a good verity. Our guide Abdul was very positive, helpful and carrying. He made sure we all have a good time and enjoy our trip. The tour members are very helpful and communicative as well. Thanks a lot!

Our Guide Solomon was the best, 10 out of 10. He spotted all the animals before anyone else. Great driver as well. Highly recommend choice
