About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- NARIN20140 contributionsExcellent Guide and DriveExcellent Driver David Karanja who picked us up from Nairobi hotel and headed to Masai Mara for 2 days and then to lake Nakuru for one day. Games rides were excellent managed to see all 5 animals and even more. David was knowledgeable and understanding so glad we had him during our time in the safari. Thank you David we had the best time ever 🙌Written 9 October 2024
- abiew0 contributionsNothing could have been better! We had an 8 day private tour of the Mara, Lakes Nakuru and Nyvasha, Amboseli and Taita, then dropped off in Mombasa. The entire experience was superb. Our driver Jamal was probably the kindest, most hardworking and most helpful person we have ever encountered on a holiday. Spending 8+ hours in a car with someone could easily be awkward but we genuinely felt a connection with Jamal and that he became a friend. The roads aren’t easy and he was so professional, even when I can only imagine how tired he must have been. I have nothing but utter respect. He even taught us some Swahili along the way! We also took his advice on some extras such as a night safari in one of the parks, and dolphin watching in Mombasa (also a Pollmans trip). All of these were spot on. Everything about Pollmans is set up to make you feel safe and secure, and is explained in full so you know exactly what to expect (without spoiling the fun, obviously- little surprises are nice!). Overall could not recommend them enough, and a final shout out to Jamal. Asante Sana you lovely man.Written 5 October 2024
- Becky_Emily_250 contributionsA 5 star serviceWe did the Kenya Classic safari (5 days) and booked through trailfinders. Pollman's provided an excellent service from a prompt meet and greet with a complimentary bottle of water at the airport, transferred to the hotel and most importantly, guided us through an amazing safari experience. Special mention to our safari driver Jamal, the ever enthusiastic, knowledgeable and expert driver who always had a smile on his face. We felt safe driving through the towns/villages and he always ensured to get us a great view of the animals! He provided water throughout the safari and gave us regular rest breaks for wash rooms etc. Go team Jamal! After the safari, we moved on to a hotel in Mombasa and again, Pollman's gave us all the info we needed for our stay and we felt we could easily contact them if needed. A 5 star service.Written 30 September 2024
- KarenR2810 contributionsAmazing holidayThis was such an excellent holiday, we were very well looked after by Pollman's from start to finish. The safari exceeded our expectations. Marvin our guide was very knowledgeable and quite literally went the extra mile to make sure we had the best possible views of the most animals. We saw 4 of the "Big Five" on our first game drive!! This is a holiday that we will never forget!Written 29 September 2024
- pjs09700 contributionsAmazing Safari AdventureLife time dream Safari, 8 days travelling between reserves. We had a fantastic driver/guide, Joseph, he was so friendly and helpful, he speaks 9 languages and we were lucky to have his new 4 seater Land Cruiser. The Masai Mara is a must it was like the garden of Eden. We can’t believe how much we saw and the friends we made on the trip.Written 28 September 2024
- eunice10 contributions7 days Safari in KenyaThis was our first Safari and enjoyed the experience enormously. To see the animals in their natural habitat was amazing and we stayed in lovely Lodges. We will never forget it. The experience was made all the better by our wonderful driver Sayed (Spider). He really made the game drives so interesting with his expert knowledge, sense of humor and great driving.. Thankyou Sayed.Written 25 September 2024
- lizdK5193SD0 contributionsFantastic experience with lots of wildlife. Excellent guide/driver.Fantastic! Great driver - David - who was very experienced and was able to "find" the best places to see the animals. We saw most species apart from cheetah. Comfortable vehicle with water provided. Enough stops for comfort breaks and shopping opportunities. David was able "adjust" the routes to suit our preferences. Fabulous experienceWritten 25 September 2024
- lizdK5193SD0 contributionsFantastic experience feeding the giraffes. Excellent guide/driverExcellent driver/guide, Daniel took us to a local coffee shop before proceeding to the giraffe sanctuary. Fantastic seeing the giraffes up close and feeding them. Informative talk about the giraffes. Enjoyable visit to the Karen Blixen museum, learning about her and her contribution to the local population/area. The tour ended at our hotel via lunch at a local estate with the chance to learn about local bead makingWritten 25 September 2024
- 803traciec0 contributionsKenyan Safari - September 2024My husband and I had a 10 day Kenyan Safari that we booked through Globus. Our safari took us through national parks, conservancies and reserves in Ol Pejeta, Lake Nukuru and Massai Mara. Our Tour Director, Sayed Nasir, was phenomenal. He was prompt, courteous and professional. Additionally, his subject matter expertise regarding the local culture and customs, as well as his vast knowledge of the birds, animals and vegetation in all of the areas we visited elevated our vacation experience. He was an excellent Tour Director and I highly recommended him.Written 21 September 2024
- OnAir479771710150 contributionsWould I recommend Pollmans to my friends….you bet !We booked a safari through Trailfinders in the Uk and their in country agent is Pollmans. We had a private tour so there were just two of us and the driver/guide who took us to all the major reserves over an 8 day period. In summary, they were fantastic. We were picked up from the hotel in Nairobi and taken all the way to Mombasa. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the animals, the birds and the general flora. He was an excellent spotter and found things long before we had spotted them. He was very understandable and amenable to our requests to deviate from the plan which we were able to do as we were traveling alone - this really made it very easy to have a great time. Unlike some of the other tour company drivers, he didnt go “flying around” and scaring off the animals so I think we saw a lot more than the others. He was also helpful in suggesting the appropriate thing to do when visiting areas such as the Masai village and reserve entrances, where to buy things and where not! Pollmans we’re also responsible for the transfer from hotel to the airport in Mombasa. We were a little concerned because we couldn’t work out how to check in on line or understand what happened to our bags at Nairobi. To our delight, when the driver dropped us off at the airport he introduced us to the Pollman airport representative who took us through the entire process. Overall, a really great experience - thank you Pollmans !Written 20 September 2024
- SusanM66190 contributionsA wonderful trip in every wayMy husband and I booked a 2 week safari to Kenya and Tanzania through Friendly Planet and Pollman's was the on site safari company in Kenya. I can only say they were excellent in every way. Every transfer, accommodation, briefing was spot on. But, the very best thing about our trip was our guide Sayed. His friendliness, extreme knowledge and willingness to go above and beyond to make our trip memorable was terrific. If you are looking for a tour company for a safari I recommend you stop looking at contact Pollman's.Written 18 September 2024
- D4314YUelainep0 contributionsMemorable Kenya safari experienceIn late August a friend and I went on safari in Kenya and Tanzania, booked through Cosmos. Our guide, Phillip, and driver Ali for the Kenyan portion of the trip were provided by Pollman's Tours. Both Phillip and Ali were exceptional - knowledgeable about the area/history and animals. In addition, both took a genuine interest in the well-being of the members of our group and did their very best to ensure we were not only safe, but well informed...and entertained with their knowledge, sense of humor, and charm/likeability. Additionally, Ali was a very skilled driver and both had an eagle eye for spotting animals!Written 16 September 2024
- Graham H0 contributionsWhat an amazing experienceWe booked the classic Kenya safari through Trailfinders in the UK that was delivered by Polman’s Tours. We were a family group with 2 adult ‘children’. From start to finish the experience was outstanding and far exceeded our expectations. Our guide was Amos, and we were very lucky to have him as our guide. He is such a nice guy, incredibly knowledgeable and very professional. Despite not having a radio fitted in our vehicle because it was brand new Amos still managed to obtain all of the intelligence on animal locations. We managed to see four of the Big 5 within a couple of hours of our first game drive and a couple of days later spotted rhinos to complete the set. It’s worth adding on the nature walk at Lake Navaisha because you get so close to the animals. If we return to Kenya for another safari we will definitely try ask for Amos again.Written 15 September 2024
- Sarah B0 contributions4 day safariWe had an amazing 4day safari from Southern palm with Pollman tours. Our drive Moshi Khan was the best driver/tour guide and this experience was out of this world we was so close to the animals in there nature habitat The food and accommodation was lovely and all the people was so helpful and friendly. If you are going to Kenya go on the tours with with company and ask for Moshi Khan to be ur driver.Written 13 September 2024
- PhillipH9380 contributionsPullman’s Classic Kenyan Safari Absolutely Fantastic.Absolutely Fantastic. Just got home after our Kenyan Classic Safari and I cannot recommend them high enough. They met us on arrival at Nairobi airport, took us to our hotel then collected us the following day to start our safari. Both my wife and I were apprehensive about the journey via road but they took regular toilet stops and every place we stopped at was just as good or better than facilities in the UK. Our driver Kenyatta Jackson was fantastic and told us all about the country animals and people. The roads in Kenya are not the best but Jackson took it steady and got us from A to B safely. At the end of our Safari we were dropped of back at the hotel for the night then picked up early the next morning and transferred to the airport where our driver momently disappeared only to come back with a luggage trolley which then he escorted us inside the terminal to the first security check point. Our tour was booked via Trailfinders in the UK and it is the best holiday we have had.Written 13 September 2024

WOW! It was great! I was picked up from my hotel on time in the morning. We then drove about 4 hours to the national park/lodge. We went on several game drives and were able to see a number of animals! It was definitely worth it!
The hotel is a dream!!! The food is great! You have to pay for the drinks in the hotel (cola/beer...) yourself... the prices were very reasonable (cola 200 shillings = about €1.50 / beer 400 shillings = about €3)
The individual game drives were also great! Our guide (julius) was able to show us and explain a lot.
I would want to do it again and again 🤭

We had an amazing two day safari trip and stayed over in Taita Hills and Salt Lick Lodge. Our driver and guide was Sudi. He was knowledgable and great fun to be with throughout the trip. We cannot praise him enough. We were picked up from our beachside Baobab resort and driven for about 4 hours to the national parks. We saw a variety of wild animals including lions. An experience we will never forget. Once again thank you Sudi you were a star

The safari was an amazing experience. We got ao lucky with our jeep driver Oscar. He took the best care of us, gave us a lot of information about Kenya, the animals and surroundings. He even managed to show us 2 lions twice on the safari. The tour and Oscar were truly a great experience.

Amazijng 2 days.
We booked the 2 day safari from our hotel in Diani Beach. We were picked early in the morning and the adventure started. The jeep was comfortable and there was enough drinking water. It took us some time to reach Tsavo - the distance on the map may be short, but the roads on Nairobi are not perfect - we were at the first lodge around lunch time and could immediately go for a game drive - wow! It was amazing! Our guide Ashwin (i hope i write his name correctly) was perfect! He had a very good knowledge about the animals and made our safari unforgettable.
After the 1st game drive we had lunch, then off to the next lodge - Salt Lick is amazing! The way they built it together with the watering hole - it gives you so much more vintage points to observe the animals - we totally enjoyed it. Another game drive and dinner which was amazing.
In the morning we had an early morning game drive (6 am) - this one was the best one yet - seeing the sunrise over the plains , the animals waking up and starting to search for water - pure gem.
After breakfast at Salt lick we were off to the other side of Tsavo (Ngutini lodge), again we saw a lot of animals and made hundreds of photo’s.
We were impressed with how beautiful Kenya is! We want to thank our guide for perfect 2 days in Tsavo and all the information and care he gave us. He was a star!
