Enjoy a full day of visiting attractions outside of Beijing, in this private day tour. Having your own guide for the day means you’ll get insider knowledge on the best places to beat the crowds, the best photos spots, and fascinating historical and cultural insights. You’ll visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, eat lunch, visit Summer Palace, and walk through the landscaped imperial gardens.

What to Expect

Your morning begins with a hotel pickup by your tour guide and driver. You’ll travel roughly 1.5-hours until you reach the Mutianyu section of the UNESCO-listed Great Wall of China. Choose from getting a chairlift or cable car up the wall, and then spend a couple of hours hiking in your own time. If you fancy a different way of getting down the wall, you can choose a toboggan ride (additional costs apply).

Enjoy a delicious lunch at a Chinese restaurant before visiting the next stop—Summer Palace. You’ll see an immaculately preserved royal garden, as well as a lake, bridges, trees, temples, and historic pavilions. It’s a popular summer holiday destination for Imperial families, and between April and October, there are Dragon Boat rides available too (additional costs apply). The tour ends with a return trip back to your hotel.
