Jerry Rong is the right person for the Summer Palace half-day tour. An affable guy, he knows the history of the place. He talked at length about the Ching dynasty, the time the place was built. He also gave us a detailed description of the Dragon Lady- the Empress Dowager Tzu Tsi, the powerful lady concubine who was the recipient of this gift- the Summer Palace. The Emperor had it built for her. In between the discussion, Jerry always manages to insert humor in all of his stories. He is also a "funny" person. Later in the tour, he also accompanied us to the steep climb of the buddhist temple, where we saw the huge statue of the Lady Buddha, Quan Ying. Kudos to Jerry! Lucy was a fantastic tour guide. Honestly could not recommend an experience here highly enough. For those travelling with limited time, or happen to be stressed about accessibility/transport/ticketing, look no further than this experience. From the hotel pick up service, expert knowledge of the wall (and haggling tactics for the souvenir shops), included lunch and tea tasting ceremony this tour is one to consider when travelling to Beijing.

Our guide Lucy was very friendly and knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly in English to us, and it was nice to learn about the history behind the forbidden city and great wall. Lucy helped us find great photo spots and quieter areas away from crowds. We wouldn’t have been able to see so many attractions in a single day if not for her help on this tour.

Our guide, Linda was very helpful and knew a lot. You will notice during the tour :). About every detail in the buildings and the history she can tell you something. She is also quite funny and can make nice pictures for you. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Another day well spent with our tour guide, Maggie! During the quiet period in the morning, we spotted so many adorable pandas. We then visited the Summer Palace, and the view was absolutely breathtaking and phenomenal!!! Also, a huge shoutout to Maggie for taking excellent care of us throughout the tour. We appreciated the patience and knowledge with which we were shown around and informed about the rich history of China.

This was a fantastic tour! We were picked up and dropped off directly in front of our hotel. Our tour guide, Linda, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and made the whole process very easy. The tour was quite flexible with times and duration of our climb at the Great Wall. Linda was extremely patient while we climbed the Great Wall, assisted us in taking photos and browsing stores. She was very friendly and we would highly recommend her to friends and family.
