    What to Expect
Your evening adventure begins with pickup at your Beijing hotel around 4:30 p.m. Meet your guide and climb in to a tour vehicle, then take off for the Mongolian restaurant, where you can begin your evening with a traditional Mongolian hot pot adventure. Follow your guide’s lead in cooking your own dinner at the table, adding the ingredients you like to the hot pot and learning a bit about this traditional way of eating.

Back in the tour vehicle, head over to Ice Lantern Festival at Longqing Gorge, featuring ice and snow sculptures and slides along the edge of the gorge. Spend two hours walking among the festively lit sculptures before returning to your Beijing hotel for drop-off.

    Disappointing experience
I purchased Forbidden City tickets through Trip Advisor several weeks in advance of our visit, which was recommended. When we arrived at the site, there was a problem with our tickets. Thankfully we had an English-speaking guide with us or we would have never sorted it out and been able to enter. I had purchased 3 adult and 3 youth tickets, and we ended up having to pay for an additional half ticket there. I would recommend obtaining tickets through a tour company in Beijing.

    "Gorgeous" and Fantastic day
After 1.5 weeks in china (shanghai, suzhou, hangzhou, beijing), this was one of my favorite days. Perhaps I was just ready for some great scenery, this certainly fulfilled that with the river cruise. And the caves were very interesting, as well as scenic, a little like USAs anasazi cave dwellings of mesa verde. Also, our guide, Jerry, was truly excellent ... spoke great English, letting us set the pace, asking what we wanted, as well as filling in with history and explanations. He also helped get us a delicious traditional meal even though we had very challenging diets. Additionally, he suggested a great evening show (Golden Mask Dynasty) and helped us procure the tickets. Also, our driver, mr. Hu, could not have been better. He was conscientious to make sure we always had water, used a translate app while jerry was getting tickets, to see if we needed facilities, plus waited for us after the evening show to take us home. Both were a great team. Just be aware, it is about 2 hours each way given Beijing traffic ... but plenty to see and talk about along the way. Highly recommend this tour

    Great Tour Guide
I really enjoyed my day visiting the Gorge and cave dwellings. Lisa was a terrific guide. Very personable, easy to converse with and a delight to be around. The driver was also excellent and spoke English. The clean newer minivan was a bonus!

    Honeymoon in the Forbidden City
Highly recommend the Tour - our Guide was Michael and it was perfect. It was so good to have a guide who knows the right ways (and when to go them and where the masses are and how to avoid them), knows the important sights, the best points to watch and who takes amazing pictures :-) thanks for the pix too!! They are a great memory on a great tour at a great time with a great guide.

    Quick visit to Fobidden City
We had 9 hour gap betwen flights, so we went to the center to see Tienanmen Square and Fobidden City. It was worth the effort. We will definitely go there again and stay longer.

Amazing Knowledge about the forbidden city but tour guide unprofessional
By right this should have been a 5 star rating as Lisa (originally supposed to be Sally but no notification of change until we met in the hotel lobby) knew every single detail about the forbidden city. She guided us on a route through the city which meant we avoided, for the most part, the local large tour groups. The amount of detail she knew at every location was for us astounding as she explained everything when we reached each location within the city. Unfortunately, at every occasion she had, Lisa would be leaving voice messages, and listening to the replies on WeChat which after a while we found really annoying and extremely unprofessional. We paid for a private 2 person full tour but we only had the guides attention for 50% of the time. My wife, who on several occasions tried to ask her a question whilst we were walking from one section to another was ignored which in the end made her very "upset". As my wife is Chinese she was able to understand the WeChat conversations as Lisa used the speaker option and not privately listen which was even more annoying. In hindsight after returning home we wished we knew Lucy (from the great wall tour) before we left.

Linda, our tour guide, and Xie, our driver, made our short visit to Beijing an exceptional experience! They were both extremely professional. We learned so much in just one day from Linda. She gave us historical and present day insights that deepened our appreciation of China and its culture. We highly recommend you take a tour with this wonderful team!

Temple of heaven, Lama temple & summer palace with lunch
Today we had an enjoyable day in the sunshine visiting the Lama temple & temple of heaven. Both venues offered lots of photographic opportunities with good explanations given by our tour guide Diana who was extremely friendly. We then went into a shopping centre where we sampled a tea ceremony. Lunch was next & we went to a Da Wan Ju restaurant which we would highly recommend we agreed to pay extra to have Peking duck, however please be aware this a bit more expensive but well worth it. We arrived at the summer palace at 4.20pm it was extremely busy so my advice would be to go to summer palace earlier as this place is beautiful & is worthy of sufficient time. Do ask for Diana to be your guide as she excellent.

    Summer Palace
We are so happy we booked this half day tour of the Summer Palace through Trip Advisor. We had a very nice young man , Howard, as our private guide. He contacted us the night before to confirm our trip. He spoke English well. He arrived promptly at the designated time to pick us up in our hotel lobby. Howard was very knowledgeable about the Palace and also answered other questions we had about China and the culture. I would highly recommend this tour and request Howard!

Private All-Inclusive Day Tour: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Mutianyu Great Wall
Jerry was a great tour guide! Helped us learn about the history behind all the tour stops. We had an excellent lunch at the Great Wall and took the cable car up to the top where we took pictures. Jerry also knows the best places for pictures. Definitely recommend this tour and Jerry as the tour guide!

Informative and well planned tour. The palace was crowded but she did a good job of helping us skip lines and tour efficiently.
