Early fun hike with stunning views of the wall, with less people
Beautiful day exploring wall in the daytime with not so many people! Dana our guide suggested we leave very early, arriving as soon as it opens and it was a good idea. We had no lines for cable car and had pictures with few people/ no people in the background. Dana was also very nice and kind guide and had lots of knowledge. The lunch after was also very good, seeing a view of the wall you just finished hiking. Highly recommend !

        Mutianyu great wall
We did this tour on July 23, 2024 with Serena during our stay in Beijing. We were two couples of friends with children and it was a very beautiful, unforgettable experience. Serena was kind and wonderful. She speaks good English and she was an excellent guide. Additionally, she is knowledgeable in Chinese history and culture. She answered all our questions. Serena and the driver welcome us at the lobby of our hotel at 7am. The car is air conditioned and water is provided. We were comfortable during transport. We went up the great wall by cable car and we had the pleasure of going down by toboggan, it was a pleasant experience. After our tour of the great wall, we went to a nearby restaurant with a beautiful view of the wall to rest and enjoy the superb local cuisine. Serena was so kind and helpful in helping us book one of the best restaurant serving "Pekin Duck" in Beijing and allows us to stop on the side of the road to try and buy at a fruit stand. We visited Tokyo, Seoul and Beijing this summer but to our great surprise it is in Beijing that we have the best memories of several cultural historical sites. Thanks to Serena, our visit to the Great Wall of China was exceptional and unforgettable. We will have no hesitation in doing other tours with Serena and her tour operator. Giang

        Great experiance
Mr. Li is an amazing tour guide. From the moment we started the tour till the end, he was full of energy and trying to please us as much as possible. He knows all the great spots for taking pictures. And the places he choose for us to eat, are amazing. Those were really good restaurants, especially the one close to the Great Wall, where you get amazing trout and a wonderfull view. We had only two days to see 4 important locations, and he made sure that we have a really good experience. Overall we are really satisfied with the complete tour, and we would recommend Mr. Li to everyone that comes to Beijing.

In-depth Forbidden City tour with Royal Icehouse Lunch
We booked this tour through the Marriott Bonvoy Tours & Activities web site because we didn’t realize that the ticket to the Forbidden City is at least a week or even 10 days in advance. Our initial booking wasn’t successful, however our tour guide, Bruce Li, was very helpful and kept trying to book our tickets a day before we left Beijing. Thanks to Bruce’s effort and numerous email communications we finally were able to visit the Forbidden City which is one of my spouse’s must-see places while we were in Beijing. Overall, we were satisfied with the arrangement of our tour. I understand that it is not possible to see all the attractions available inside the Forbidden City in a few hours, this tour however did provide a basic impression of this marvelous historical palace. Bruce explained quite detailed about all the attractions we had visited. Luckily it was a hot day during our visit; we basically walked through the Forbidden City in about 4 hours and that’s a lot of walking. Although this tour is a bit pricy however if someone has never been in China before and does not speak Chinese, a guided tour by a professional tour guide like Bruce is still worth it.

        Unforgettable!
A group of tourists from Serbia spent two glorious days with Mr. Lee. Visiting Beijing is unforgettable. Mostly because of Lee. He shared his great knowledge of Chinese history with us, and it was a real pleasure to tour the city with him. Absolutely all recommendations! ❤️

Oh my gosh! Angie is an AMAZING tour guide!
My friend and I took both group tours and private tours. We explored all over the city and to the wall. We were pleased with all our tours but then our last tour was with Angie. OMG! What a difference a FABULOUS tour guide makes! She clarified and corrected information we had been given on other tours (or our understanding of it). She completely modified our private tour to do exactly what we wanted to do, as we had already seen and done so much, we wanted to focus on other things. She was flexible, responsive, and super helpful. She helped us navigate some tricky situations (problem at the hotel, needing to cancel our final tour, and assisting with shopping) that we could not have managed without her. She chose a delightful spot for lunch and we all ate well. We learned so much from Angie and were so pleased to hear from her about so many different topics of interest to us. I feel like we made a real friend in Beijing!

        Our favorite tour in Beijing!
Our guide, Angie, made our day exceptional! She was prompt to meet us, professional, spoke beautiful English and adapted the tour to our needs. Her depth of knowledge about the tour sites was impressive and accurate. She kept a leisure pace, answered our many questions, took our photos, ordered a delicious Peking Duck lunch at a local restaurant and shared her favorite sites with us. When you miss your guide at the end of the day, you know you've also made a friend.

        Tour of china
Not knowing how to speak the native language was a bit scary. So my partner and I decided to book a private tour guide. She was on time, spoke very good English and had lots to share about China’s history. When booking my excursion I informed the tour company I did not eat pork ( religious reasons). When I met the tour guide I reminded her twice ( when we met at the hotel and before lunch )that I didn’t eat pork. With lots of waking on the tour, by the time lunch came around she took us to a nice restaurant. She looked through the menu and ordered for us. Unlike the other private tour that took us to a buffet (different tour guide )she went through the menu and picked food for us. When the food got to the table I asked what it all was. Half of the food she picked I couldn’t beat because the dish had pork in it. Considering I spent over $400 for the tour, I was upset. I told her that I can’t eat this, and she said I could eat the other items instead. To me it looked and felt like she picked and chose her favorite dishes without considering my food limitations. And for that I gave a two star. I spent way too much of my hard earned money to have an unsatisfactory private tour.

        Insightful and well paced
My husband, parents, and brother took this tour on Saturday 11/2. Pickup was prompt with communication the night before to confirm. Our guide Angie and the driver were both very courteous and professional. Due to a marathon in Beijing that morning, Angie adjusted the order of the tour to ensure we made the most of our time despite road closures, etc. She was extremely knowledgeable and her presentation was informative and fun. My parents are older and she was always very aware of their pace and super patient. The lunch was AMAZING. Because we were slower we became delayed; she even beelined ahead of us on a rented bicycle to purchase our tickets to the Temple of Heaven before they closed sales. Highly recommend--we absolutely would go touring with Angie again!

We cannot say enough about the wonderful day we spent with Angie touring in Beijing. The day was paced so well with lots of time to see the sights, relax and have fun. Angie's English was excellent -- we will always smile when we think of the day we spent with her. Just a wonderful tour that everyone who visits Beijing should do - ask for Angie.

Highly recommend this lovely tour that I had the pleasure to experience with Angie, the personal tour guide assigned for my one day private tour.

Angie arrived to pick me up right at my hotel with a private chauffeur. The car was as new and drove us from our destination to the other from 8am to about 4pm.

Since it was February, Angie told me I needed to dress warmer and I am glad she did because we spent a lot of time outdoors, sightseeing,

The tour delivered everything it promised, visit to the Forbidden Palace, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace and much more. A delicious lunch was shared in the middle of it all with the lunch menu to fit my preferences.

The tour was personally tailored for me, I felt, with Angie understanding my interests and organizing the tour to fit my personality. She even organized a quick shopping trip when I voiced my desire to buy souvenir silk scarfs before leaving the city.

I enjoyed my tour with Angie, immensely that I booked her again for another private tour, the next day. She was professional the whole time spent together even while we formed a 'girl friend' relationship. She was very informative in explaining Chinese history in a captivating way. I had a lot of fun. It was never boring. You can tell she loves what she does and that made all the diffrence.

The second day, I wanted to take it easy and feel like I was a native from Beijing and that is exactly what she delivered. The day included a visit to Jingshan and Beihai Park with a delightful lunch to one of the hottest restaurant in town with a cheesecake treat towards the end of the day.

It is truly an adventurous day when one is eating fried scorpion at a local Street Market. Angie was even able to swing a big discount for an awesome pair of workout leggings at Victoria Secret!

      What a wonderful experience.

Ask for Angie. She went above an beyond and exceeded all expectations. She made my solo trip to Beijing worthwhile and became a true friend.
