I had to kill the time, 18 hours transit on my way home from Asia. I wasn’t so anxious to pay pretty much for a short trip, but i must say it was the best part of my entire vacation. Johny, my guide was so professional, so helpful, a great athlete, he made my day with this trip. He took many cool photos of me, and what i loved most is his respect to this wonder, and the nature around . He wanted me to have the most of this trip. I was so glad.

I had a really enjoyable trip to the Great Wall with my driver Johnny. Everything went exactly as planned with pick up and timing, but more importantly he was friendly, happy to answer questions, and so enthusiastic at taking some great pictures for me. The wall itself is beautiful to see, and the luge ride back down to the carpark was also a highlight! This tour really exceeded my expectations, I would highly recommend it to all. I had an 11 hours layoverin Beijing on way to Manila. It was an amazing trip and was indeed a great experience. My tour guide David was brilliant,being English speaking guide made a difference. He was pleasant and explained well the tour. My experience at greatwall was indeed unforgettable. He made a video and taken lots of photos. The trip in the afternoon was bit quiet which was good. He took me to a restaurant and food was nice too. Then we went to forbidden city. I would recommend this tour to every one. And i would definitely coming back with my family.

(1) Our tour: a mini bus tour - around 10 persons with a so called English speaking Guide (2) We reached there around midday or thereafter - really too hot (June 1st week) (3) Would NEVER hire so called English speaking Guide unless I have heard them speak personally OR on a recommendation from a friend/family. It was impossible to understand (extremely strong accent) and literally gave me a headache. (4) Should get there as early as possible to avoid heat. Some sections are really steep and you do need to hold on to the railings provided. The earlier the better - will also give you time to explore more sections of the wall. (5) We did use the aerial car which was fine. (6) The place is REALLY crowded but generally the Chinese crowds are well behaved but the fact there is a big crowd means you will be slowed down and will need to jostle thru the crowd. (7) Perhaps arranging a personalised tour (will cost more) just to see and experience ONLY what you want would be a better option (no shopping, factory visits etc).

I highly recommend the layover tours of Beijing. We had a 9 hr layover at Beijing and decided to do The Great Wall, Mutianyu section. I had pre-cooked the private tour with William a few days before my arrival. Though I had some trouble getting my internet to work and contact our English speaking tour guide, William, he was patiently waiting for us at the Starbucks cafe. The one side travel time in the car was about 1hr 15min. The drive itself was nice and scenic in some sections during which William provided snippets of China and The Great Wall. There are 2 options to reach the actual wall; 1) walk, which takes about an hour and 2) cable car from two different operators going to different towers on the wall - takes about 8 mins. We took the cable car to reach tower 14. The wall itself was mesmerising. Overall, well spent layover time to the amazing wonder of the world. Thanks to William who made it memorable.

We had an amazing time seeing the Great Wall during our layover in Beijing! William was so friendly and knowledgeable about the history and area. I highly recommend him as a guide during your tour. Our experience was nothing short of exceptional!

I did a tour with this company as I was stopping for layover in Beijing prior to my trip to the Philippines. I have to say that the experience was awesome, money very well spent. I had one of my best experiences with this tour. They replied to each of my query and gave me proper instructions to meet with the tour guide. My tour guide, David is one of the most exciting person i have met in china and he guided me everywhere for my tour which made it overwhelming. I definately would recommend to go for this tour.

I enjoyed the tour i had. Communication to them was easy. They respond to my question quickly. They even accomodated my requests. Johnny, my tour guide, is nice. He speaks good english. He is very welcoming and he responded to my questions regarding the tour. He gave me lots of trivias during our way going to the mountains. HE TAKES GOOD PHOTOS! Perfect for solo trips

My second time doing a tour with Willy! We communicated over email to plan my layover in Beijing. I had 7h50m and he picked me up at the airport and took me to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen square. Its an hour to and from airports, we walked for almost 3 hours, and he brought me back 2 hours before my flight. The place is unbelievable! Willy was nice enough to be my photographer, and had very good knowledge of the history of the place. He customized the tour for me and we stopped at a noodle place on our way back to get some delicious food. Great conversationalist, knows a lot about China and many other cities in the world! Very recommended :)

Bruce (our tour guide) was great. He was right on time picking us up from the airport then drove us an hour and a half to the Wall. He picked us up at 6:30am because we had an early arrival time and I would recommend the earlier the better going to the Wall. When we got there it was super quiet and we basically had the Wall to ourselves besides another couple. We had a great time there and then Bruce drove us back right on time and dropped us off along with a souvenir. The experience was so awesome and a great way to use your layover time - super easy to book and very punctual on time so you won’t miss your flight. Definitely recommend!

Really good tour, the guides were really nice! I strongly recomend it for those who have long layovers in Beijing.

Tony and our driver did an amazing job of showing me as much of his incredible city as my layover would allow. Full of history and information, he pointed things out all day long. The sites were great, a perfect quick overview of the city and the biggest attractions. I highly recommend Willy and his tour if you find yourself with a free day in Beijing!
