Had a fantastic tour of the Terracotta Warriors, Xi'an City Wall and the Muslim Quarter with John! John was extremely knowledgeable and took some great pictures of us as well. It was a long day trip from Beijing but so worth it. If you can, spend the night in Xi'an. Seeing the Warriors was definitely bucket list item checked! As an added bonus we had a chance to meet one of the brothers who discovered them in 1974 while digging a well.

If you're wondering whether you should go to the Great Wall at Jinshanling in December, you absolutely should. This trip was the highlight of my 3-day trip to Beijing. My guide Justin was super flexible, knowledgeable, and fun! I plan to return to Beijing one day and see more of the wall with Justin. He also got me some extra duck soup from the restaurant for me to take back to the hotel LOL.

We are fortunately to have Lisa as our tour guide and Lu Shang ( driver ) for our day tour. Lisa is very informative and knowledgeable and make each spot very interesting. She is generous with her sharing of the history of each attraction. Lu Shang is a careful and attentive driver. His minibus is clean and spacious. He is always there to ensure your comfort and safety during the ride.

I had an excellent tour of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City with Michael today. He shared a lot of interesting historical and cultural knowledge with me and I would strongly recommend it.

Excellent tour. Tons to see and take in. Nearly endless amounts of fascinating things to see everywhere you turn. Make sure you wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing. It can be a long day if you don't.

The views were amazing! We loved hiking the wall with Justin and seeing two very different sections. We also enjoyed learning about the wall and China from Justin. Would highly recommend Catherine Lu tours and Justin as a tour guide.

To hear what took place at Tiananmen there across time helps us understand the history better. Our guide, James, took the opportunity to reference a video of the investiture that took place at the start of modern China. Passing through the gates from Tiananmen to Forbidden City, we cross back into ancient China times. The strength of the wind is a bit strong so some of the halls were closed but James was able to bring us to places where we could still experience and see the inner halls. What a huge place to walk around, this Summer. We got to know how the Emperors, his empress and his concubines spent time at this place. Love the drawing on the walkways and we also learnt about some of the philosophers contribute to this place. The partially frozen ponds around the pavilions gives us a different perspective. Once again, the excellent work from James in bringing us to places less traveled on top of the must visit places. Knowledgeable and able to link up ancient times to modern China. Highly recommend!

Amazing trip to Simatai Great Wall. The night view below was breathtaking, give us an idea on how the soldiers guarded the towns below, totally giving the soldiers a sense of responsibility. Gubei water town was very pretty. Although this place is rebuilt, it gives us a good idea of a water town in the olden times. The drone show was quite nice too. We were very happy with our guide, James, who is very knowledgeable, adjusted to our pace and brought us to the right places for the right photos! Being in the onset set of winter means reduced crowd and a different feel of the place.

We spent the day exploring Beijing with Justin and had a great time. We loved the Hutong and the tea ceremony. Justin is very kind, happy and patient - a wonderful guide.

Jenna was really patient and gave alot of background and history during the tour. The palace is really huge but we were able to cover most of it. However do take note to bring along some quick lunch during the tour as it's not included
