We have taken many side car tours over the years, but this one was so interesting. John was willing to customize something for us that allowed us to visit old longtangs in Beijing. Great tour. Great guide. Fun vehicle.

First time on a sidecar and John made the experience so warm and casual. The day I had booked in was raining and John suggested if I may be interested to do it another day. Did this tour on my 3rd day of being in Beijing and still the experience was breathtaking. You must definitely do this tour when in Beijing. Took me on the small alleys Hutong. Completely understood I needed coffee and took me to a really nice place. 4 hours flew by too fast!

What a interesting way to see and feel the bustling beautiful chaos that is Beijing. John is not only and excellent driver but also knows some great spots to visit including some local cuisine for a snack or lunch. If your looking for that something different and want an unique experience, then I highly recommend taking the 4 hour city tour. Not only will you enjoy the time with John, you will get some great photos as well.

I took this tour the very morning I arrived in Beijing. John very patiently waited for me to check into hotel and settle down. This tour was the best decision I made and I enjoyed it so much because of the individualised attention and explanation of the places. It was an excellent introduction to Beijing‘s road and food since this was really my first foray into the country and city. John was really patient and I appreciated that he enjoys doing this so he brought a lot of himself into the tour. If I had known that he did trips to great wall too I would have engaged him instead of joining the big tours.

We connected with John through a work contact while in Beijing and the timing worked out perfectly as we'd planned to go to the Great Wall and this made that even more of an adventure. Getting out of downtown is not the best part but it does give you a whole different perspective on the city. Once you get to more of the rural north side that's when it all comes together. Bring able to see all around and be immersed in the environment was breath taking. You'd miss so much if you were trapped in a car or bus. John took care of everything from tixkets to our meal and went above and beyond which has a ton of value if you've struggled with the language barrier you know. I'm a big motorcycle guy so this was a treat but even the other two enjoyed it as well as a once in a lifetime experience to really make for a memorable full day. Would 100% recommend.

We loved our sidecar tour with John. We saw more of Beijing than we did with any of our other tours. While we drove by some more touristy sights and areas, we mainly stuck to lesser-known streets which was a unique aspect to this tour. John also introduced us to some delicious local foods. John drove safely throughout our tour. The back of the motorcycle and the side car both had cushioned seats that absorbed the shock of the road well. We found both options to be quite comfortable. We definitely recommend booking with Beijing Sidecar Tours for anyone looking to see more than just the crowded, tourist sights.

If you want to see Beijing past and present in such a unique way, with the best tour guide around, then this is a must do! John the tour guide is so friendly and knowledgable, and he will take you to many fascinating areas around Beijing while offering his local insight. The only negative of the day was saying goodbye. He even took us to a restaurant to eat some amazing food! Couldnt’t recommend enough

An easy and special way to see Beijing and it's charms! John was able to provide the history of sites visited, made sure that the ride was comfortable always, and great to chat with. Local lunch snacks were yummy and everything from pre-departure was well organized. Highly recommended

John is a great tour guide and safe motorcycle rider and can converse in English easily. The tour was well planned out and I got a thorough explanation of the city which made getting around on my own that much easier. We went to interesting and beautiful sites that I would never have visited on my own. Our lunch was all the more special where we had a picnic on the bike eating special Beijing meat dumplings that John got from his favorite lunch spot in the Muslim district on Ox st ( think that’s correct ) , never had anything like them, they were delicious. John helped me out with tickets to visit the temple of heaven right after the tour. He went out of his way to make my visit to the city special and really was engaged in my interest. I suggest doing this tour as your first thing to do when you visit. Super fun even if you are not big bike fan.

This is the best and most fun way of seeing Beijing! It was greatI was well looked after including lunch with coffee served by the lake. I got to see icons such as the Bell tower and the old city wall of Beijing - this is way easier than trying to get around by yourself. John was such a nice guy! Do not miss this experience!
