- AntonAntwerp0 contributionsAll you need to get to know ChongqingYasmine was a perfect guide. Not only did we get a good explanation of all the sites we visited, she also gave us a good insight in Chinese culture, history, how people live etc. All this in perfect English.Highly recommended!Written 21 July 2024
- CatherineS40100 contributionsChongqing a bustling city in ChinaVisiting Chongqing was both overwhelming, fun and beautiful. The city is huge and always bustling with activity. The quaint villages were very interesting to visit. We were there from 8 April for 2. Ashley Liao was our tour guide and Mr. Wang our driver. They were very professional and quickly adapted to our needs as things changed. They made us feel very welcome in Chongqing and we truly enjoyed our experience here. Many thanks Nailand and Cathy Smith.Written 26 April 2024
- Tumbleweed730 contributionsBeautiful citySo glad we had this tour! A great comprehensive introduction to the city on our first night in Chongqing. Jasmine spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable and helpful. Dinner was hot pot buffet style and suited us because not all of us could handle the spice. We got to ride the cable car across the Yangtze and enjoyed all of our stops in the beautiful evening lights.Written 19 March 2024
- Craknzee0 contributionsGreat River Boat ride with spetacular lighted buldings downtownOnce again China never fails to impress with the best. The boat tour and lights are nothing like anything else in my opinion. Yes LasVega has many lights, however if you want a fun, safe beautiful place to visit the 45 minute tour is great! Start at the top of the 7+ story complex and prepare to be among hundred of toursists mostly from Asia. The tour ranges from 100-200 RMB so shop around. The boat is clean and has restrooms, and drinks (Cash bar). There is a VIP area on the top of the boat for an extra 50 RMB, but for $7usd the fruit tray not my thing. However you get to board early. Plan to take lots of video as the photos don't show the same. The food is good in the complex but not much to eat on the boat but fruit. If your in the area of the boat ride on the river be sure to walk the 15 minute route to "central" plaza with many high end stores. There is also a nice hotel within the complex with rooms that oversee the river. Just a heads up that night is the best and during the day smog is common.Written 20 January 2024
- francisc1030 contributionsLights galore, and cold windI boarded the Yangtze River Cruise, one hour, near the Hongyadong, so it really was an amazing experience. I love the cold wind, the lights and you could see so many of the beautifully lit buildings, Chaotianmen (or Raffles city)... Definitely worth the experience. Just watch out for the crowd, coz there are many waiting for the lift, so finally many ended walking down the stairs. Do get the tickets early and board the ship so you have a good seat and good viewWritten 6 December 2023
- adennislai0 contributionsGet on board - really greatBooked by our personal guide - so did just the night cruise. Worth the price of ticket. Guide was worried we may have to wait in line for an hour as it is usually packed but we were lucky, only waited 10 minutes to board. Go for the VIP lounge if you can once on board - only extra RMB80pp (pay on board) and you have a less crowed space and some refreshment. Really great night view with all the lights on the buildings and the bridges. Get out the bug spray beforehand - not a major but got bitten on the legs quite badly - my bad luck. Hubby was fine.Written 12 November 2023
