This Hong Kong food tour is a must-do! Our fantastic guide, Cecilia, made the experience unforgettable. We started with a delicious wonton noodle soup, savoring the delicate dumplings and flavorful broth. Next, we sampled unique preserved fruits, learning about their historical significance. Dim sum was a highlight, with Cecilia guiding us through a variety of tasty bites. The tour also included a fascinating historical walking tour, where Cecilia shared stories about the city’s past and its food culture. Her passion and knowledge made the whole experience even more special. Highly recommended!

Had a wonderful trip through Central with Ed. He was insightful, witty and so proud of an respectful to the food, neighborhood and neighbors. Food was lovely, but the cultural insight may have even been better! Well done Ed!

A real highlight of my five-day-trip to Hong Kong. Have been here already several times, but this was the first time that I got real insight into several aspects of local Kantonese food and HK culture. The guide Ed was very knowledgeable about all aspects of HK. Also the preparation from the office was perfect - reminder WhatsApp the morning of the tour to ensure participants remember time & venue - and that potential allergies are taken into account. High recommendation for this activity and for Ed from my end.

It was a wonderful tour, definitely worth doing. We learned a lot about Hong Kong and traditional foods. There was lots of food and we were very full when it was over. We didnt even need to eat dinner! Silvana, born and raised in Hong Kong, was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and deeply devoted to knowing the history and traditions of Hong Kong.

Had a fabulous time on the Central tour with Ed yesterday! He was clearly passionate and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Hong Kong cuisine. The food was all fantastic and the little insights Ed gave into the owners and how the food was prepared made for such a special experience. We wandered through streets and areas we’d actually already been too at times but understood them in a whole new light with the insights provided by our excellent guide! Had such a great time we booked in for the Sham Shui Po tour before we leave as well!

A very interesting and tasty afternoon with our foodie guide Ed. Saw a different side of Hong Kong. We visited 6 different venues with different style of food including dim sum, noodle soup, roast pork and egg tarts. Our visit to Man MonTemple Was also very atmospheric. We also heard a lot of interesting social History of HK from Ed. Very glad we did it

What an experience: Great food, mini City Tour, Great Conversation. I was fortunate to be guided by Cecilia who was born in Hong Kong and lived around the world. Her English was perfect, her world view expansive, and her valid claim as a “Foodie” a huge plus. We sampled multiple dishes at 6 different stops. At each, Cecilia was acknowledged by staff and owners as more of a friend than just a tour guide. Her interest in supporting the local businesses was rewarded with good service, great food, and smiles. My one question: Is too much food a bad thing? An unexpected bonus was the brochure that described each restaurant, its address, and what we ate. The brochure also had suggestions for other places to eat and a list of useful Cantonese phrases which I found very useful in the following days of my first visit to Hong Kong. Fantastic tour. Very highly recommended…even for locals!

Ed was our guide, he was very knowledgeable about the area enriching our food tour experience. He was very entertaining and provided lots of interesting points on the challenges faced by current Hong Kong. He was lots of fun and really understood the dynamics of our group. An interesting introduction to the area and its history. I enjoyed the various tastings and gluten free alternatives were able to be provided for me apart from the egg tart conclusion. It was interesting to see the food market and to visit the dried food shop. However the tour is very slow paced, it felt like the tasting slots had been set up too far apart so the guide was just stopping on random street corners and waffling to kill time which could be quite dull. Could have been an hour shorter I think, it ran over time as it was and I was quite tired out by the end from all the standing around.

The tea tasting was one of the best experiences in Hong Kong. Cecilia was so welcoming and after a short introduction the tea tasting began. Her passion and enthusiasm for tea is contagious. I can only recommend the course!

This tour is a fantastic way to sample some local Hong Kong cuisine and learn a bit about the Central and Sheung Wan areas. It was one of the highlights of my trip. Ed the tour guide was great at sharing information and insights about Hong Kong, as well as suggestions for things to do. The mix of walking and food stops was just right and the food was plentiful and delicious. Highly recommend.

We had a fantastic afternoon together with Hong Kong Foodie Tasting Tours and our guide Cecilia. She took us on an culinary and cultural journey through the Central and Sheung Wan districts. We had some fantastic dishes on the route and also got the stories behind the places we visited.
