- Helen J0 contributionsFabulous morning at Chengdu Panda Breeding Centre, Sichuan hotpot lunch and Chengdu Museum visitA fabulous morning visit to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Centre with our fabulous tour guide Wells today. Wells and our driver met us at our hotel promptly at the agreed time. We then headed out to the Chengdu Panda Breeding Centre. As it was earlier in the morning it didn’t take us too long to arrive. We saw lots of beautiful giant pandas and red pandas and throughly enjoyed the lovely environment there. Wells gave us a lot of information about the animals, his English was excellent. We learned so much while we were there and have some gorgeous photos to treasure. We then had a delicious Sichuan hotpot meal at a restaurant Wells booked for us and then finished our fascinating day with a visit to Chengdu Museum which was well worth the visit All in all a fabulous day in Chengdu with our driver and Wells our amazing tour guide. Thank you so much Wells for giving us this great experience. 🙏Written 10 September 2024
- EnricaBucchioni0 contributionsRecommended experience with PandasWonderful experience. The driver picked up at the hotel and the guide was waiting for us at the center with all tickets. No queue! Unfortunately due to the hot weather, we saw the giant pandas inside, but we enjoyed the red pandas in their habitat! Our guide, Wells, was very prepared, professional and with excellent English command.Written 24 August 2024
- GavinK3530 contributionsGreat ExperienceI was recommend by friends to go to the Panda centre early for opening. I contact the guide and he was happy to change to leave early. The guide arrived at hotel before the pick up time, and had a sign with my name on. He spoke good English and was happy to share all about the city on the way to the Panda park. When we arrived (7:20am) the entry queue was already quite large, you definitely need to get there before 7:30am do not get there any later. We entered the park and we went straight to see the red pandas, and saw some. We then walked uphill to the back of the park to see some of the panda pavilions. Most people went straight to the fully grown pandas and the queue to see them looked like hours long. We went to the other pavilions and saw many pandas with hardly anyone about. For me, this was definitely the way to do it. We then went to the baby panda enclosure which said it opened at 9, but it was open before them and we went in with hardly any queuing, It was still very very busy though. At about 9:30am the park was full of people and the queue for the fully grown panda was significantly long and I would think would be a 2-3 hour queue to see the big pandas. I was happy to leave as I had already seen lots of Pandas and it was quite hot. The guide was excellent and I would highly recommend this experience. Unless you are intent of seeing the famous social media pandas, and are happy to wait in a queue for hours.....listen to where the guide tells you to go. He knew the quiet areas and where to go to see pandas towards teh back of the park where most people weren't. I would also strongly recommend you leave earlier than the start time of 7:30am.Written 19 August 2024
- Baukjev_120 contributionsSmart guide to the Panda’s!On a very hot summer day, in the middle of the holiday season, we still wanted to see the panda’s. And because of our guide Wills, we managed to see a lot of them! Because of the hot weather, only a few panda’s were outdoors. Wills knew a lot of shortcuts through the park and guided us through the loads of tourists, so we could see quite a few panda’s! Wills is a very friendly and smart guide, and he speaks very good English. He also took us to the Leshan Giant Buddha, where he also managed to guide us through perfectly and with a lot of fun.Written 19 August 2024
- Rachel B0 contributionsHighly recommendGreat stress free way to see the Pandas especially in the heat of the summer and with huge crowds due to summer holidays. Our guide Wills meet us at our hotel and knew the shortcuts to get around the large sanctuary grounds and avoid some of the crowds. If we had been on our own would have been a bit of a challenge. Wills was punctual and friendly and answered all our questions as well as helping us book the Chinese Opera for the afternoon. Thanks Wills!Written 16 August 2024

Without her it would have been very complicated if not possible at all to see the pandas because the place was extremely crowded but she knew all the shortcuts! We highly recommend her and this Panda themed half day :)Written 8 August 2024

- Explore1368690 contributionsChengdu FunOur guide - Wells - advised us to head out early to Panda Center: great advice as (1) weather was much better (2) the pandas were out and about and (3) the Center was less crowded. Wells and our amazing driver took good care of us over the three days in Chengdu too. Thank you Sam Tours!Written 6 July 2024

- Mie M0 contributionsAmazing team and a must-have experienceWe had a great trip in Huanglong and Jiuzhaigou, because of the amazing logistics team. We had a great experience planning the tour with Sam. Even though we were a bit late with the inquiry, Sam still made the effort to arrange so we had the time to go on the tour. Furthermore, Sam works with some very nice people. Our driver was very kind and made every effort to make sure we were comfortable, and he drove safely. Our hotel manager was also very nice and made sure we had a good time and helped us with any issues. In Huanglong we just took the cable car and followed the route through the site down to the exit. In Jiuzhaigou we took the route suggested on the parks webpage.Written 14 June 2024
- Sophie H0 contributionsA bucket list dayA first class volunteer experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our day out at the panda centre with our guide Wells. The booking was very easy, Wells met us at the hotel lobby and took us to the panda centre. Wells had a good knowledge of the pandas, he was very informative and spoke very good English. The volunteer experience was lovely, you had to prepare the bamboo for the pandas, make pandas pie, chop the leaves for OAP pandas and Tidy up. The pandas really are cute, it was beautiful to watch them and see how content they are.Written 13 June 2024
